We were staying nearby for the week and decided to try this place for dinner tonight. The ambiance is great with a very beachy vibe. We were quickly seated inside and our waiter, Chris, quickly came over to take our drink orders. The menu has about ten appetizers, ten handhelds, four salads and ten entrees. It is a heavy seafood menu but there are some other items as well. I had the shrimp and grits and it was a delicious dish. My dining partners had the grouper tacos, captain's platter, and piggymac. All of the dishes were good sized portions and tasted great. We also split two pieces of key lime pie which were great. Service from Chris was quick, polite and helpful.

We ordered takeout to include piggy mac, chicken tenders and nachos. The piggy mac and chicken tenders were both winners but the nachos were a fail. If you want nachos do not get them to go. Chips should be packaged separately so they don't get soggy but Sharky's missed it on this one. I couldn't even eat it. They also left out a side of fruit that was ordered. We will continue to eat at Sharky's but not likely takeout.

I'm vacationing at Ocean Isle for the week and we drove past Sharky's Restaurant and decided to stop in for dinner and it did not disappoint!! The food was delicious and they have a very wide variety of things to choose from on the menu. The service was also good. They offer parking in front of the building which is very convenient.

Fantastic spot right on the canal w great vibes, decor and a loaded menu catered to all. The selection is nothing short of exactly what you'd expect from a Beach Vibe restaurant.

Okay just to say - they were not bad and I did eat them - but they served me very expensive fake scallops. I told the waitress no offense and that I was eating them anyways so it wasn't a big deal. But I did ask the waitress to ask the kitchen what they were made out of. She returned to tell me that they were actually scallops. Oh well, my review: whether ground shark, fish paste, or punched skate, the fried round fish sticks were not inedible... But they were the most expensive reconstituted fried fish I've ever had. https://doctordavidfriedman.com/blog/scallops-the-most-counterfeit-food

Breathtaking views and awesome staff. We were seated within a minute and our drinks arrived shortly after that. I highly recommend the key lime margarita (the coconut cream makes it taste like key lime pie). The wings were delicious, and so was the grouper bites as an appetizer. We ordered the "round of beer" for the kitchen staff for $10 (they ring the bell as thanks) and had never seen this option before at any restaurant...how fun!

Sharky's is an OIB staple. Our favorite dish is the not so Cajun pasta. My only recommendation is an extra slice of that delicious garlic bread to help scoop up the sauce. We had a great time with great service and perfect views of the waterway.

We came in for lunch. We were pretty hungry and this restaurant was conveniently close. We decided to stop in. They weren't very busy. We were seated by a hostess. A server stopped by and took our drink orders. Everyone was friendly enough. Our drinks came out correctly as did our food orders. All of the cocktails that were made with OJ had to be replaced due to soured juice. The food was underwhelming. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't as good as what you'd expect for the price paid. The hushpuppies were good. They were the best thing delivered to the table!

Service was great but the food was lackluster. Flounder lacked flavor, the Cajun pasta was decent, and the tuna was okay. Nothing crazy.

Great outdoor terrace, but I wasn't impressed with the fish tacos, that I was expecting to be amazing since we were at the coast!

It's a bit pricey, but you…read morecan tell they use high quality ingredients and whoever curated the menu put a lot of time into it. The avocado toast, the veggie breakfast burrito, the coffee cake, the smoothies, and the iced black amber are my go to's and they never miss. The service is quick, even though I know they get crazy busy during the summer. As someone who understands service/cafe biz, I will always give leniency to workers who are busting it during high volume seasons. The people who don't understand that a wait will be expected when you have one good coffee shop on an island that hosts thousands of people every summer are dense. Be kinder to your service workers, people. The most recent time I visited Drift, I was excited to try the Acai bowl. After I ordered, I was told that unfortunately they were out of Acai. They refunded my money and I ordered a smoothie instead. I was ready to pay for my smoothie when the employee told me the smoothie was on the house since they were out of Acai. Great customer service. I've been visiting Ocean Isle since there were rinky-dink water slides in operation across from what is now Drift. It's been wonderful to see a successful, quality coffee shop on the island.

Mr. And I both ordered the market bowl. Quinoa, sweet potatoes, avocado, tomato, and a spring mix w a fried egg on top. It was beautiful! Then we bit into it. The sweet potato was barely on the brink of being frozen. The Quinoa was also cold...not just room temperature, but ice-cold! Avocado was way too cold as well. So, you can imagine what this did to the beautifully cooked egg... yep - turned it cold in a heartbeat. Really off-putting to bit into. Mr. went back inside and asked if they had a microwave to heat it up and the 'workers' just said that was they way it was supposed to be. Mr. tossed the entire thing in the trash and simply said "well, it's disgusting". You would think there would be a simple offer to heat it up, or some kind of remedy for the situation. They didn't give a crap. I'm pretty sure they flipped us the bird on the way out. Nice.

First time trying, and honestly won't be back…read more I'll start with the good. Place was clean, the service was excellent and very friendly, albeit slow as it wasn't very busy on this off season week. The friendly service is what upped the stars. Ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and a toasted everything with butter, and an iced coffee. Husband said coffee was good. We waited 25 min for something that should've taken less than 5. When it came out the everything wasn't toasted but we also didn't want to wait any longer. The bagels were definitely not boiled, and tasted like a piece of bread, not at all like a bagel. The size was ok, but for what we paid, just not worth it. I will stick to my rule of only eating bagels in NJ or north.

You stand in line to order and they bring the food to you when it's done. There's a dining room and a bar as well as patio seating. We ordered four bagels: one plain with grape jelly, one blueberry with strawberry jelly, one bacon egg and pepper jack on Asiago and one bacon, egg, American and bacon scallion cream cheese on jalapeño. We also order two coffees - one iced one hot, orange juice, a sunrise smoothie and a mimosa from the bar. Our sweets order was: donut holes, an Oreo donut and a cinnamon roll. The bagels were all very fresh and made perfectly. The coffees were custom orders and delicious - I had a hot cinnamon hazelnut coffee and it was an amazing combination! The donut holes were our favorite sweet! You could tell they were made fresh! The service was outstanding and the ambience was ideal. The kids loved watching the surfers on the big waves playing on the television! Definitely a must visit spot at OIB!
