This place is just great. Tortillas are so good and perfectly moist. I got the carnitas burrito and I am not sure what it was but I think the meat was a hint of sweet to it. I think it was the marinade. The outdoor patio is great vibes and relaxing. The music playlist was awesome with some oldies but goodies classic music. Staff was friendly. I could use mo' of this in my life. We heard from the locals that this is *the* place to grab a burrito in Salida, so we made it a point to grab one here on our last trip and hot damn! I'm into it. Mo Burrito is tucked inside of a cool old building near Salida's main drag and is open for your breakfast, lunch, and dinner burrito-eating pleasure. We were here for breakfast, at which time they keep things simple with their offerings. Black bean burritos, chorizo burritos, sides of house-made hot sauce, and coffee. That's all ya get, and that's all ya need. If you're a meat eater, get the chorizo burrito and a side of hot sauce (they have your traditional Tabasco/Cholula, etc situation, but I really dig the homemade hot sauce). The burritos are served super hot and are very hearty--I was full most of the day after eating this. For $7, I'd say that's a pretty good deal! Other fun things about Mo Burrito: there's a full bar! 9 am on a Monday didn't feel like the right time to be drinking alcohol (also, they weren't serving), but I'd love to come back for a burrito + a cocktail next time I'm in town. They have A LOT of space, including a big side room and patio and there's skee ball, air hockey, and foosball if you'd like to hang for a while. Love this spicy addition to Salida! read more

I was really excited to try this place because of all of the great reviews. Maybe they have such great reviews because there isn't any other burrito place around? Anyway, the food was RIDICULOUSLY bland. No flavor to anything whatsoever. My girlfriend got a veggie burrito (did not taste a single thing) and I got a chicken burrito (also did not taste anything). I even got a few different salsas on there and everything. I tasted tortilla and that's it. Same for my girlfriend. I really don't get the hype about this place but I would really recommend going somewhere else if you want to taste the food you're buying. This place makes me think a lot of Chipotle but it so much fresher and way more seasoned on their meats. They also offer a fish option if you'd like. I really love the nachos from here!!! How could anyone ever rate this place less than 5 stars? We stayed in Salida for a few days and couldn't help but revisit this place twice. Build-Your-Own Chipotle style order system and all the food was so fresh. Both times we went, the place was pretty quiet. Food came out in 10 minutes or less. Clean restaurant and restrooms. Oh yeah, and we missed happy hour by about 20 mins, but they let it slide. Mo Burrito gets the fast burrito right. There is a joke in our family about $10 nachos. We had a place in Aurora that, by the time we customized our nachos, they were $10. So, the joke was that we could not find a $10 nacho place worth eating at around here. Until Mo Burrito. Like Vincent Vega's reaction to the $5 shake, the $10 burrito is a pretty good ****** burrito. And the nachos are top notch as well. Think chain burritos with a soul, fresh flavor and less portion control. In a pretty good location and cool people working there. We are carne asada people and this hits the mark. I like the various options, like fries in my burrito. It was a flashback to my first asada con papas burrito I had when I moved to SoCal. The fresh salsa and steak is excellent. It is pricy, but I never felt, like some places; pay me, eat and get out. Just the little things that have happened make this place special. Absolutely a place I would visit any time I go through Salida. Not only do they put more meat on your burrito than any other place I've been, all the ingredients were delicious. I tried the spicy ranch add-on and was not disappointed. The question was also delicious. The bonus amenities of a foosball and ping-pong table were something I'd never seen before in a place like this. Great fast casual Mexican that's I'd put on the top of my list. I was also thrilled by the irreverent and inclusive bathroom signs they had up that said "We don't care" on the single stall rooms. They went perfectly with the fun and friendly staff. read more

I'm all about fast-casual Mexican joints like this where you can pick your ingredients, and Mo Burrito delivers. Tasty food, fun casual atmosphere with outside seating, and cool employees. We stopped here for dinner on a road trip on the 4th of July, and raced to make it before they closed. I mean, they have a different taste, and are equal in quality, but if it was in my town I'd probably choose this place only when I was craving it over chipotle, and it might not be that much. Stop by after a trip to the Sand Dunes. Very glad that I did because the burrito hit the spot. I ordered a Carnitas burrtio with queso. The lady that made it was very nice, and rolled it perfectly. I was able to eat it driving with no problems. The everything on the burrito tasted great. Not to salty like some of those burrito chains you run into. For having opened only a couple days ago they are doing pretty well. Very flavorful and filling carnitas burrito and steak quesadilla along w some good Mexico beers and a kids menu. The have a nice mix of hot sauces for people to take to their table. One suggestion is to have extra salsas there as well do people can add more salsa as they need. read more

I had the fish tacos and my wife had the steak burrito. BEST food in Salida along with Sweeties on F street. Fresh, clean and bold flavors. Amazing how Rob and his wife have put together two unique, different foodie experiences in our town. I will be a super regular!!!! PS. After reading the other reviews, I'm really disappointed with some of uppity locals. Ploughboy's was a sub par place which is why I didn't go there and why they closed. Went here for lunch, it was pretty busy but that is to be expected when a new place opens up in Salida. The food was awesome! I had nachos with carnitas, queso, rice, and beans. The best part was the additional pickled onions. I am still thinking about them! The food was great and the employees were friendly and helpful. It's great to see a restaurant that brings in the City appeal (Qdoba, Chipotle, etc) to our small town while giving it a Salida spin! Unfortunately I had to go back to work so I didn't get the chance to try some of their drinks. I will certainly be back again to check them out. While some people will complain about pricing, the fact is if you want good food, you have to be willing to pay more than you would at McDonalds, or Pizza Hut. Picked this place from the reviews on here and it didn't disappoint. The kids (10 and 6) raved about how good their meals were and I thought it was nice, fresh and tasty. We didn't do the California style (with french fries in it), but there is always next time when we are passing through. I liked that the meat wasn't overly spiced up because I am a spice baby. My husband got some of the hot salsa and said it was really good. We even thought about getting it on our way back home from Pagosa Springs. I really wanted to love this place - we stopped by for lunch on our way through Salida. They have a really nice open concept layout with plenty of indoor and outdoor/patio seating options. Unfortunately, we waited in line for over 20 minutes which is absurd to me when it's an assembly line type setup (like Chipotle). Once we finally got our food (a steak burrito and a chicken burrito) we weren't impressed, especially for the price. The steak was overcooked and chewy and the chicken was just plain. The food reminded me of El Pollo Loco, but not quite as good. Their menu is a bit complicated if it's your first time, and as other reviewers have mentioned, they have lots of offerings that come at an additional price. The burritos were $10-11 each without any added extras which is steep in my opinion, when you can go to Chipotle and get a larger and better bowl or burrito with guac for less. read more

The menu is similar to Chipotle and other big burrito places. The quality of the food is wonderful! They make the food in the kitchen no prefab here! You get all the same types of ingredients (rice, beans, choice of meats or veggies) and they can be assembled as a burrito, bowl or salad. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The building is great with a bar and a large patio with big open doors in nice weather. They also have games next to the eating area.
