Best cakes I have ever had, and I am not that big of a fan of cakes as they usually tend to lack flavor and moisture, or are overly too sweet. They only do vanilla sponge and vanilla buttercream. We tasted the cake and it was delicious. No over wet sponge from simple syrup. It's the perfect texture and light flavor. "Oh my god- they have the fruit that's going viral on TikTok. We have to try it!" I'm not one to say no to a 15 year old for anything that's going viral on TikTok so stepped inside this adorable cafe and placed an order for the viral mango. I almost passed out when they rang me up for $18 for a tiny dessert, but I guess it is famous. They put it on a plate at the register and when I reached for it said "oh we'll bring it to you." Perhaps the handing of the pastry is part of the $18 fee. We found a table and 30 seconds later the infamous mango appeared in front of us. It took us about 3 minutes to eat and it was tasty- a hard shell, mango inside and maybe some custard. We both decided it was very good, but not $18 good. I"m glad we tried it, but I probably wouldn't get the viral fruit again for the price alone. However, I did find this cafe to be adorable and would stop back in here the next time I'm in Atlantic Avenue for other treats. Hopefully the non viral pastries aren't priced quite as high.
