Professionals need the abilities to analyze a seller's needs and wants and to provide professional, yet personable, advice and counsel. Regardless of the ability required, Sheri Foley Allen and her team were ALWAYS at the top of their game. Every step of the way, they were spot on. From the beginning, we were impressed. Sheri and her team educated us about the entire home sale process and were physical participants, joining us each step of the way. They gently helped us see what features and accents were needed to reflect the values intrinsic in our house. As a result, their expertise and professionalism made those values shine in the publicity for and the presentation of the house. Throughout the house-selling process Sheri Foley Allen and her team consistently offered this same cheerful, expert assistance whenever we needed it, for as long as we needed it, regardless of the day or the time. They answered our questions, held our hands, explained the myriad processes involved in selling a house, and offered insightful counsel. Their accurate and excellent guidance put us in an excellent position for the sale. They even physically joined us at the closing. After closing, Sheri and team continued to touch base with us, making sure our move was going well and that we had all our questions answered. By the end, it was much more than a professional relationship; it was a friendship. And, we were sorry to be moving away from such accomplished and admirable people. Obtaining the services of a real estate agent is much more than "finding someone to sell your…read morehome". This is especially true if you are selling an inherited property as I was earlier this year. A good real estate agent will know the area, know the laws and rules and will help assess your home and get it listed and sold for a "good price". A great real estate agent is a counselor, a partner in your effort, someone who "has your back" throughout the process in addition to doing all of the real estate work. Philippa Main is an *outstanding* real estate agent and an even better person. My father passed away leaving a home in Woodbridge, Virginia - the home in which I grew up and which contained almost 50 years of possessions. I contacted Philippa in March of 2026 to discuss its potential sale even as the house was in significant disarray while I engaged in the slow process of cleaning it out and sorting through the many things my parents had accumulated over the years. When she visited the home, I looked around and threw up my hands. Philippa looked around and said, "we can make this happen." I sought her out specifically because she mentioned having expertise in sales of homes that are inherited - a particular niche that involves a delicate dance of handling family dynamics, wills, probate laws and determining what, if any, money should be put into renovations or improvements that will get a reasonable return on the investment. From our first conversation over the phone - which she took time to do in the middle of a busy weekend - Philippa was incredibly personable, easy to talk to and anticipated many of my questions and many of my concerns as we talked. By the end of our conversation, I felt like I was chatting with a friend who had expertise I needed. Over the following three months, she was a (rapidly-responded-to) text or phone call away as I navigated getting the house ready for sale. She helped outline a schedule and a plan to list the home. She connected me with a large network of trusted service providers from junk removers to contractors to painters to flooring experts from whom I obtained estimates and some of whom I contracted to help clear out the house and prepare it for sale. While she always reiterated that she would back any decision I made regarding the house, I always sought her counsel when making major decisions such as whether or not to spend money on renovations and, if so, which ones were most important. Of course, there were obstacles - some amusing, some less-so - but Philippa helped me handle each one with a confidence borne of having "seen it before". That is an incredibly valuable thing when dealing with a stressful situation. In the end, the home was listed in June and had nearly seventy showings in three days. The house sold for well over its asking price and after all of it I know some things: The home could have been sold by another agent. But few, if any, others could have been a partner in the process the way Philippa was for me. She was a trusted resource, a confidant, a person who knew when to inject humor into a situation and when helping me vent was what was needed - she understands people and the process of selling an inherited home in addition to being a brilliant real estate agent who knows the area and who knows how to get the job done. I couldn't recommend her more for ANY real estate work but, especially, if you face the task of preparing and selling an inherited property.

We are a latino family and we totally got a racist vibe from her. She was very non-flexible with our schedule. My dad is from the older generation and he is not computer savvy and she seemed very agitated about that. Her tone was very standoffish. So, after getting treated like we didn't really and a nascence we decided to stop business with her. First, giving out addresses and telling people to just swing by and randomly knock on the door is extremely inappropriate but more so during a pandemic! Second, trying to solicit the sale of my house but putting the required, "if your home is already listed we're not trying to take the sale from any other agent" is nonsense. It's cold calling at its worst. Then when you try to get your number removed you get an uneducated person who can't handle simply removing your number. You get twenty questions about your name, address, phone number, who called, etc. and when you refuse to provide your information beyond your phone number they say they're unsure if they will be able to remove you from the call list! Seriously?!? You never had my name and address so there's zero reason you need it now. You have my phone number and I told you to stop calling! It's not rocket science but the person answering the line specifically for removing you from the call list seems to not comprehend her job. The market for selling houses right now is great so there should be no reason to cold call people. If you cannot manage to get sellers and actually sell in this sellers market then you might not be that good at the job. I realize that it's a pandemic and the stock of houses to sell isn't extremely high BUT if you actually had a good reputation and marketed in more appropriate ways you wouldn't have to resort to cold calls and pestering people! Even if I were selling my house and was desperate for an agent I absolutely would NOT use these people because I don't agree with their practices and I definitely don't want people who employ someone who can't even manage to run the, 'remove number from the call list' phone line as that shows they're willing to overlook incompetence.

She has a high level of integrity and is always striving to learn as much as she can about the new laws and practices for both real estate and property management. Not only did I work with Tiffany prior to switching careers, I used her to purchase our first home this month. This was not a large sale, in fact I would bet on the fact that it was one of the smallest ones (price wise) that she had dealt with all summer. However, even for such a small sale, Tiffany went above and beyond to help make this sale go through. I was 9 months pregnant and had difficulty making the inspections. Tiffany and her team stepped in to handle things when my husband and I physically couldn't. She checked on our property multiple times to keep up with the long list of inspection items that needed completed before settlement. I knew she was a good agent but this is the first time I had experienced her level of care and detail first hand. My husband and I will forever be grateful to her for making this sale go through during such a busy time in our lives.

Most home owners don't really invest in their property. When we moved in there was a jungle in the front yard. As it got more and more out of control Freedom decided to come out and get it cut out of there and put down grass. This made our lives incredibly easier. They re-did the roof while we lived there. The furnace died in a fireball (maintenance guy who was working on it let us know.) Anytime something went wrong they were there, being proactive always. Even now I think back on how nice everything was with them. My new home while it's amazing to own a house there's a LOT more responsibility to it. When I first moved in I had explained to the staff here that I wanted to get ready for owning my own home and they were super supportive. Whenever we did inspects I always got tips. They LOVE animals, and even made a special exemption for one of our babies that we rescued. I cannot thank them enough for all that they've done for my family and I. I just saw the deposit refund. I had incredible amounts of trouble moving, and even still the new house isn't set up well enough. 2 Days ago the sewer backed up into our basement... Carpeted... basement... @.@. The point is that they were INCREDIBLY generous with the deposit refund, they could have easily claimed a bunch more items for repair and yet they didn't. I couldn't have asked for someone better, and 10/10 would ABSOLUTELY rent from them again!
