My wife & I took 6 kids on the T-Rex tour. It was fantastic and here is why: 1) Our guide Danny was awesome - knowledgeable/confident/interesting/kid-friendly/fun - he really put us at ease and had the kids fascinated with his stories from history, geology, paleontology - this guy is an adventurer and a gentleman for sure. 2) We drove. Great experience for people like us who don't do this kind of thing very often. 3) Good for beginners. Look.....the people in Moab who already know what they are doing brought their own UTV's in on trailers. If you are taking a guided tour you are probably a beginner on these machines or perhaps on this terrain. These guys are experts, they are patient, they are good-natured, they won't make you feel stupid, and their equipment is top notch. My wife was terribly nervous about driving one of the vehicles but she had a blast and could easily do it. I know it is a little costly but if you can swing it the experience is worth it. We visited Moab in mid May of 2018 and did the 4x4 with Doran and it was one of the most exhilarating experiences we've ever had! I'm a firm believer that guides can make or break an experience and Doran, by far, no doubt, MADE this tour and our entire trip! His knowledge of the area, humor, excitement, support and overall genuine persona is something that we'll always remember when thinking of Moab. Outside of Doran and the entire Moab Tourism Center's customer service, the views and history this tour presents are literally out of this world. This tour is worth the money. You get to drive the 4x4s and follow behind a lead car. You stop a couple places on the trail to take pictures and learn about the area/history of the trail and Moab valley. We had Ben as a guide and he was great! He knew SO MUCH about the area and history with some funny stories. Ladies, don't be afraid to drive, its so much fun! Ben convinced me to drive out when we hit our turn around point and I'm so glad he did. He made an effort to stop at key points on the trail and make sure I still felt comfortable to keep going in the driver's seat! We didn't have any issues with our vehicle and the trail is awesome. You get right into the steep climbs as soon as you get on the trail. Good mix of inclines, rock crawling, and even hit some sand areas to kick it up a bit. The views and fun don't stop on this tour! Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed. read more

We were on a 17-day bus tour of all the canyons in AZ and southern UT. We had an afternoon and evening free in Moab so we decided to do something a bit more adventurous. Wow, Hell's Revenge was not what we expected, and we were totally into it after the first 15 minutes. Jessie Rainbow was our driver, and you couldn't ask for a more fun and safe driver than Jessie. He chatted the whole way with great stories and made us feel comfortable. Then he would gun it and drive in the sand back and forth...it was so exciting...it felt like we were on the Tilt-a-Whirl at the fair. So much fun! And the best part was watching the sun set from the top of a hill where there were huge dinosaur prints. It was a very special trip. Kyle was our guide for the UTV tour through Sand Flats recreation. My husband & I were the last UTV with approximately 7 UTV's between us & Kyle. Kyle did an amazing job making sure we all kept up with the group, saw some views of the river, learned of interesting dinosaur history, experienced an echo through the canyon, watched Dan Mick maneuver his Jeep up a rocky mountain side and have so much fun driving the UTV! He kept us updated when to change out drivers so hubby & I both had an opportunity to drive. Some areas were a bit mentally challenging to maneuver so you have to have kahunas to get behind the wheel & not be afraid to be go outside your comfort zone. SO MUCH FUN & HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! If time permitted we would have reserved for an additional day during our trip. read more

My husband and I did the T-Rex Hell's Revenge Sunset Tour our last evening in Moab. It was amazing! My husband was the driver, and quickly learned to trust the vehicle. I would say it's very important for the driver to not be afraid of heights and to be someone who can maintain good control of a vehicle in a tight situation. And the passenger(s) should just relax and enjoy the view and the ride! It's amazing what these vehicles can do! Kristin was our guide, and she was fantastic! She stopped at various points to explain the terrain, show us dinosaur prints, share some local knowledge, and give us a briefing about what was coming up. I was looking for something to do in the short window we had in Moab and when I saw this it looked perfect. My daughter is really interested in off-roading and this park is, of course, famous. Well, the experience was fantastic -- a great experience. We did the morning tour and it wasn't too hot, the scenery amazing and the driving was as fun as we were hoping it would be. Ben, our guide, was very informative and entertaining. He explained everything very well and had lots of interesting stories and facts. The tour wasn't rushed at all and we felt like we got to see everything we wanted to. The 4x4s are impressive with tons of torque and grip, just follow Ben's lead and go. Very recommended! read more

After getting into Moab a lot earlier than we planned, we decided to stop in and see if there was a tour open that day. They were booked, but there a tour guide who had the rest of the day off that said he'd be more than happy to do a private tour for us. We are so glad he did! It was the best excursion we've ever had. Jessie, our guide, took such good care of us. We have a 3 year old, and he made sure she was always safe and gave us many breaks so she didn't get bored. He knows so much about Moab, the land, the plants, the people. We are so glad we decided to ride with him instead of driving alone. Jessie was so friendly and we can't wait to come back to Moab and have him guide us again! read more

First, what I want to to say is, "Thank you Woody!!" My son and I recently had the time of our lives when we took the RV rock climbing adventure with you. When we first arrived, we were both a bit apprehensive (Scared is a better word!!). Woody was smooth, confident and he patiently explained the entire process. My husband and I signed up for the T-Rex tour in Hell's Revenge with another couple. Luckily, we did not research the trip much before signing up as we likely would have been too afraid to go. That being said, I am SO glad we went!! It was incredibly scary at first but once you got the hang of it, it was unbelievable! We conquered fears, tested our limits, and had a bunch of fun all at the same time! Our tour guide, Danny, was absolutely perfect! His calm demeanor helped me make it through the scary parts and his stories were full of knowledge yet entertaining!! Danny is the best!!! Amazing, my best time so far in Moab! 4x4 tour up the petrified dunes, taking in dinosaur prints, natures dinning table offerings....yukka, Mormons tea, juniper berries... Our great tour lead Ben educating us on our expedition. The views spectacular we stuck to those vertical climbs like chewing gum I did wish some one had made good use of those berries and been able to serve me a stiff drink in parts!!Judi Our 7yr old boy loved the 'hot rodding!' Absolutely INCREDIBLE!! This experience was thrilling, exhilarating and so beautiful all at the same time. Jeff, our guide, was so amazing! He was so knowledgeable and made sure to check in on our group often to make sure we felt safe and prepared for the obstacles on the trail. We've been off-road many times before back in our home state, but it is nothing compared to Hell's Revenge. I will say it is not for the faint of heart, and if you get spooked easy I'd recommend a tour that is not self-driven. But those of you who like some thrill and adrenaline, this will be perfect! This was a gift that my friend had given us for my wife's birthday months ago, and we waited to use it on Father's Day weekend, the gift certificate said it was only for a ride on guides machine which wouldn't have fit our whole family, they went way over and accommodated us by giving us our own machine because we have two kids with car seats, the owner/staff was amazing and Ben the tour guide was the best person that we could've had a guide us on this tour! My two cousins and I were a bit leery about this adventure, none of us wanted to drive but we wanted to experience the true Moab. Jesse Rainbow, our driver and knowledgable guide was fantastic. Jesse regaled us with stories of his Apache culture and the surrounding area. He made the tour so much fun. The three is us couldn't stop laughing and smiling all the while hanging on tight to the grab bars. We highly recommend this family run business. I booked a T-Rex 4x4 Tour for Hell's Revenge with my daughter and it was one of the highlights of our girls trip. She was pretty sure that I was going to kill her and once I saw that first hill I was starting to believe the same thing. I had never driven an off-road vehicle before but the UTV's were easy enough to adjust to our our tour guide, Jeff, was fantastic. This is a great way to experience the slick rock of Moab. I chose this tour specifically so that I could be the one behind the wheel driving. I absolutely would do this again and recommend it to anybody looking for a great adventure. read more

Sean Paul gave us the best guided 4x4 wheeling sunset tour! We saw dinosaur tracks, Hell's Gate, great views of the Colorado River and Arches. And the best part was that we got ENGAGED on a cliff at sunset with the river below us and two rainbows in the background. We couldn't have asked for a more exciting and perfect location for our engagement, Sean Paul even took some photos for us. Scary and most terrifying thing I've done in my life (talked into this by my husband and two boys) I rode with the guide, Ben, in the front UTV and Ben was super nice and talked me through my fears (Devil's Backbone to start the ride was super terrifying!) He encouraged my stepdaughter to drive, even though she had decided it was pretty scary too. 3 hour excursion and well worth the price! We made a girls trip on June 29, 2016 and decided on an ATV tour rather than zip lining. It was the best decision ever! We definitely were scared to begin with; thinking, what did we get ourselves into?! We are all afraid of heights so it did not help being so close to the edge, but at the end of it all, we were so glad we made the trip! Ben was our tour guide and he was amazing. First time in Moab and had the best time! You get a real off roading experience with a knowledgable and fun tour guide. We road with Ben and learned so much about the history of moab and some outlaw legends. The views are breathtaking and Ben makes sure to stop and take your picture at each view. You'll oversee lions back, echo canyon and amazing views of the Colorado river. You really learn a lot and put your driving skills to the test. 10/10 recommend to all friends and family!
