If I could give a 0 rating I would. I was running 3 minutes late due to traffic so I called their office at 7:10 to let them know. The gal who answered said she would call the crew and let them know but was unable to get ahold of them. I had also text the crew to let them know. I pulled up 2 min late a the boat had left. No courtesy call, and worse of all there was never any open line of communication with the crew. When I called back to speak to the office because I was appalled--the general manager got on the phone and was not empathetic, actually he was rude and indignant. I ask for a reason and he said "you can ask all you want but you're not getting a refund". The lack of professionalism and customer service was so upsetting!!! Save yourself the trouble, there are tons of other vendors to choose from, this is not an ethical business. read more

If I could give a zero star rating I would. I am so disappointed in this company. They reiterate on their website over and over again that if WE want to cancel, we have to give them a 24 hour notice but this morning at 10:30 AM they TEXTED us letting us know that we wouldn't be able to go on our 2PM sail time because "not enough people booked". I'm sorry?? How is it MY problem that you guys weren't able to have people book your cruise. it's just beyond ridiculous. Then they gave us the name of a different company we could book with...?? How are you going to send us to a different company when we've already paid with your company?!! Then they were offering us to change to a different day later in the month? Are you kidding me? These events and trips are planned out weeks and months in advance and you're gonna ask us if we can come back in a few weeks. Their policies are so backwards and they're only looking out for themselves. It's so inconsiderate and we are very disappointed. Will not recommend this company and you shouldn't waste your time or money either. read more

We had a fabulous time going out to turtle cove with Moana sailing, the captain was kind and funny, and ensured everyone was safe on the quick voyage out to the snorkel spot. They had a guide in the water the entire time and we had our 2 children with us, and the water was a bit rough this day and the guide in the water made sure to keep an eye on us and give us tips to keep the kids safe while also enjoying their time in the water. The boat is ultra comfortable and they had iced water waiting for us on arrival. You take your shoes off before getting on the boat so ensure you have something easy to slip off. They have a spot for your bags and whatnot on the boat as well as a bathroom (no #2s though!) & they drop a ladder into the ocean so it's very easy to get off the boat and into the ocean. They also provide snorkel masks, flippers and floatation device and help ensure you have the best fit for all 3 by helping you get the masks on and properly fitted. We saw a bunch of turtles and fish! The only con has nothing to do with Moana but about the sheer number of people in the water, turtle canyon had at least 3 boats when we arrived and 2 more came while we were in the water making it impossible to swim at times with how many people were in the water trying to look at the same thing. If you don't like crowds or having random people quick you with flippers or suddenly have random body parts in your face, I'd avoid the busy times in Waikiki as it really puts a damper on the experience as a whole. All in all, it was a great snorkel trip and I'd highly recommend booking with Moana! read more

We booked Moana for a last minute turtle snorkeling excursion. From start to finish it was an amazing experience! We arrived at the harbor 15 min before departure. The crew was very informative and fun to be around. During the captain's briefing he guaranteed we would see sea turtles and dozens of reef fish. To our surprise we were in awe of how accurate he was. There are not many wildlife tours that can accurately predict this. The turtles were very close, but we remained within the safe distance required. The water was crystal clear and the experience was once in a lifetime. All gear was provided and we were assisted with putting it on. It was a 2 hour excursion and very reasonably priced. Fair warning many people in our group got sea sick that did not get in the water for awhile after docking. Highly recommend this tour company! read more

Moana Sailing was an Amazing Snorkeling and Sailing Experience!! My friends and I booked the 8:30am trip and it was well worth it. Sailing out to Turtle Cove, we were lucky to see a pod of Dolphins swimming along the boat. Such a cool surprise so early. The crew was so welcoming and the music on the boat got us dancing in our seats. When we reached our snorkeling destination our captain and the crew briefed all on board of what to expect and what we will see. We were given a float to snap around our waist, fins and a snorkel with googles. We saw schools of different types of fish, more than a handful of turtles and to our surprise, the dolphins joined in on the fun! We were able to explore and see so much and the crew also pointed out additional marine life around us. We had such an awesome experience and really couldn't ask for a better start of the day!!! * What I also loved was that any trash floating in the ocean, the crew stopped to pick it up!! Really great sailing company!! They have a bunch of sailing options (snorkeling, sunset, fireworks). I did the sunset sail and it was amazing! We got an amazing view and they also offer dinner options if you wanted to add that to your package when you purchase online. I did $40 for open bar on the sail and drank a few mango mimosa and maitais. The crew was very friendly and attentive. The boat departed on time and they gave us instructions. I had a lot of fun with my partner and would totally do it again! They also had a bathroom on the boat and a net where you can lay down. read more

Went snorkeling for the first time today and it was absolutely amazing!!! The crew was great. Max was a comedian and kept us laughing the whole time. Bella found lots of turtles for us to see. Johnny was a great captain who also had a few punchlines to keep you laughing during the onboard process. Bo (sorry if I spelled it wrong) was very helpful and friendly.
