My husband and I just left this gas station... i was in the car. The man inside was EXTREMELY RUDE when my husband went inside sans mask (All clear from Gov Baker as of yesterday!) to buy a soda and cigarettes. We don't have our masks anymore, wore them faithfully everywhere until yesterday. He threatened to call the police on my husband and insulted him, saying "What do you know about this country, you're from Ireland!!" And then proceeded to lecture him on politics... huh?? Not good business sense. My husband and I are both self employed and know the value of being polite and welcoming, and NOT being rude, or unprofessional. I used to get gas here every week, will never return and will be sure to tell everyone I know. Wow. Was amazed at this level of oddity and rudeness.

We patronize all 3 departments, buy (Sunoco) gas at the lowest prices in the area (at the Woburn Scrub a Dub), and patronize the Scrub a Dub Woburn Convenience Store. Our cars are on monthly, unlimited plans, and they look like new, a combination of a super high quality ceramic coating, installed by All Pro Detailing in Peabody, MA, and weekly Scrub a Dub car washes. The manager of the Woburn, Scrub a Dub car wash, Pete, does an exceptional job, as does, Luis, his detail shop manager.

The business operations and the workplace culture are both equally poor. Why is it that after 5 PM--while the tunnel wash is still open--the convenience carts with towels and window cleaner are consistently empty? This isn't an occasional issue; it's a regular, predictable problem, and it reflects ongoing management neglect. What makes it worse is the attitude. When I've pointed out the empty carts, the cashier or manager inside the convenience store has told me to "talk to the guys in the car wash." That's unacceptable. It shouldn't be my responsibility as a customer to track down employees and coordinate basic service tasks. Even then, the car wash staff often respond with attitude, as if I'm an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. This repeated experience signals deeper issues: poor leadership, lack of accountability, and a bad workplace culture. It's long overdue for Scrub a Dub's ownership to step out of the office and take a closer look at what's happening at their locations. This company appears to have grown too large and lost the service standards and culture its founder originally envisioned. Management on the ground is clearly not doing its job. I'm fed up with this place. If it weren't for the quality of the tunnel car wash, I'd avoid it entirely.

Only disadvantages: can be hard to maneuver during busy hours because the lot is rather small and there can be lots of cars all trying to get in on the great pricing...so try to go during off-peak hours. And the gas pumps do blare annoying commercials at you while you pump your gas...maybe this used to be a Speedway?

John at Mobil has always been fair but even more so informative. I downsized my business 10 years ago to less vehicles and pretty much downsized my repairs to Woburn Square Mobil only. So we all know there is a history but I had options if needed. I never needed the options. John and his staff ALWAYS kept my vehicles road ready at fair price. Then came Cancer. I have struggled physically and financially to stay the course in a brutal battle without solid food for roughly 3 years of a 4 year battle. SUDDENLY I am almost well. Just started my first big project and glad to be making my own money again. Sorry to bore you with details, but today getting back in action Johns staff got me up and running for the "lower" price of the estimate range given. Rust etc making it a difficult task. I tried to tip $100 and he out and out refused. Times are tough on all of us right now. But this establishment and its wonderful owner can be relied upon to diagnose your vehicle and get it in working shape in timely manner at fair price. Can't be beat. Thank you
