I have never had an issue with this gas station and I lived in this town my whole life. My family would come here for years for car inspection and to get our cars fixed for small jobs (oil change, breaks, engine light warnings etc) the guys working there are so nice to us. I believe it's a family run business. They do run an honest business and please just be nice to them. You should always keep track of the services done on your vehicles on your own. They have specials on gas on Mondays. It used to be self serve, but now it's all full service gas station. read more

BE careful here-depending on who is pumping gas-they will try to rip you off. Ask for twenty and they will "accidentally" let it go over and then demand you pay. We all know you can set it to shut off at 20 so stop the BS. Paid for the extra once-never again. Just be an honorable business. read more

I had the strangest interaction at this place tonight. My family and I always come here and tonight I decided to just go with a girlfriend of mine. We got $20 dollars of Gas in our Hyundai and and he pumped the gas and quickly handed us back our card. We than noticed he had actually charged us $175 when our small car can't even hold that amount of gas and the tank was filled w $20! We went back there baffled because this has never happened and the mistake was impossible. He than told us it wasn't his fault and it was his system that he it was being held and be there in the morning. A random amount that wouldn't even made sense but we drove off. We came home and around 11 pm we look and the moneys back and transaction is completely gone from my bank history! Weird and strange I don't know if they saw two girls and decided to try and rip us off but never again don't trust these people. They've also multiple times filled my tank when I tell them to only do a certain amount and demand the money. read more

Very bad service.All the time they try add more hours of work and they are not careful with the car.I've been there for some while,but last time I went they showed there true face.I wash my engine and has a check engine malfunction.Thry told me that I need 3 part and 2200$ to fix it.Thry charged me 2 h of work just to find out what's the problem.I went to pick up my car to go somewhere else where they took 5 min to delete the check engine and the car runs like before.Probably they water dried from the engine.Very bad people. read more

OK, on the same job here's the score: West Newton Auto Service repaired and replaced gasket on driver side, rear door of my 2010 Acura TSX: $63 for gasket, $32 for labor, total $95 Local Acura dealer quoted: $95 for gasket, $125 for one hour minimum labor, plus tax: about $220. So even if the piece of rubber that seals the door shut (gasket) isn't at this time original manufacturer part, we're talking a 100%+ difference in the cost, and I am quite sure I will NEVER know the difference (until I balance my check book). read more

Definitely do not ever bring your vehicle to this place. Trust me on this. Came in for a simple oil change which ended up costing me $85. Upon returning to pick up my vehicle, the owner gave me a laundry list of things wrong with my car many of which have been addressed prior with another mechanic so I knew that he was lying. Among them, he said that my radiator was leaking and I needed a new one. Mind you, prior to this, I have never had an issue with my car overheating, or any temperature issues with the engine whatsoever. 30 seconds after starting my car, as I was heading down the street, the temperature gauge was skyrocketing. These people are criminals. Never come here. Do not give them your business. They will damage your car and lie to you so you'll think you need unnecessary work. Hope this is helpful to you. I just took my car to be reinspected for the state inspection sticker. I learned that I needed to take it to the original station and within 60 days or I need to pay again. The station that did the first inspection did not tell me that or I would have complied. The two men at this station only wanted their money; threatened not to give me my car unless I paid- I said take the sticker off-; were very rude, and definitely have lost my business FOREVER! BEWARE!!!!!. read more

Have been going there for years, had an oil change done and asked if they could look at the brake pads while up on the lift. Four wheel disk only takes a minute to inspect. The response was "are they squeaking you need brakes right away" . I had looked at the rotors the day before, no score marks so all could not be that bad. Went on a small trip but was worried and told a local mechanic to get pads and change them. Local guy called me to say I had another 15,000 miles on the pads that were on the car. Had them changed anyway, he gave me back the old not so worn pads. won't be back. Two stars because I think the work in the past was done right but there was another time when I had questions about needed work. read more

This is almost impossible to believe, had I not seen it with my own eyes. I visited West Newton Auto for gas, and decided upon an oil change as well. I unfortunately left my smartphone in the car, so I could not videotape it. But my attorney thinks I should sue, and I am inclined to agree. The tech grabbed a very large container of blue window-wiper fluid off the shelf, and walked toward my car. Naturally, I thought he was refilling the wiper fluid. Instead, he tells me that the last guy who changed my oil had accidentally filled the radiator with wiper fluid, and that I would need to drop $55 to drain it. Which I did, because I had no choice. The radiator was indeed full of blue wiper fluid (not green antifreeze), because West Newton Auto put it there. I have the paperwork to prove it, as well as eyewitness testimony from another customer. Had the previous mechanic filled my radiator with wiper fluid, six months earlier, the car would never have gone a mile without overheating and possibly cracking a valve or two. Suffice to say that I then had to visit another mechanic to flush the entire coolant system and repair the damage inflicted by West Newton Auto Service. The car was bucking violently upon leaving, so I had no choice. In short, a simple oil change ended up costing me well over $200. And who knows what other problems I will have later. WNA intentionally damaged a relatively new car to get an extra $55 out of me. These people are straight-up crooks. I would not even trust their gas. It's probably filled with wiper fluid. read more

went to West Newton Auto for an inspection sticker because the repair station I go to does not do stickers anymore......car failed the emissions part...owner Simon was abrupt and impatient when he told me it failed...shoved the state inspection report at me but did not show me the notation printed on the report that it may be a recent disconnected battery....and yes a new battery was replaced the day before....attitude, attitude from him telling me a jumble of how to drive the car around to reset the codes....impolite, disrespectful tone of voice....returned to my repair shop...they gave me detailed instructions about how to drive to get the codes reset......although not willing to get a re inspection by West Newton Auto I went back the following day to tell him how unpleasant and impolite he had been yesterday......it went very bad from there...his agressive verbal tone and attitude bordered on rude...he said maybe I needed to teach him how to be polite....but he did not have time to waste on me...as I exited he pulled the door shut so I could not re enter and said I was not the kind of customer they want.....wow......the rudest business man I have ever dealt with....I absolutely do not recommend West Newton Auto....no one should be subjected to this verbally aggressive , rude , disrespectful owner !!!!! read more

Excellent service-A++! First experience: They repaired a leaking tire months ago as a walk in. Very fair price for what was very helpful to me. Second experience: Took my Jetta in for brakes and tires, and they went way beyond what would be great service. They were super flexible for scheduling, stuck to the quoted price, offered excellent value, and accommodated me, even though I had brought issues (no key for the wheel lock, and an incorrect part). I've taken my beat-up old Subaru to these guys many times for inspections, oil changes, and also major repairs. When they've found something wrong that's going to cost a lot of money or that I don't understand they've taken me into the shop, pointed at the part of my car in question under the lift, and explained it. One time when they took my engine apart for one major repair and found something else in there that needed fixing they charged me only for the additional part and not for the 2-3 hours they spent on the car. Their loaner car is one of the sketchiest vehicles I've ever driven and I've had repairs take a bit longer than expected, but they've kept my car running and not charged me a lot of money for it. read more
