I had called multiple auto glass companies in SF to try to fix the little back triangle window in my 2015 Acura. Everyone said they didn't have it in stock, and didn't provide any options. I called him at 5 PM on a Friday, he answered the phone, searched his inventory, and found the original windshield in stock. The other company I called said they had to order it from the manufacture, and it would take 7 to 10 days. He asked me what time would work for me and I said around 9-10 AM Saturday. His guys called me at nine to say they could be there at 9:30, they showed on time, were very quiet, professional, and when they handed me the keys at the end, I looked inside the car and they had to vacuumed all the debris from our recent trip to the mountains. When I first called, he also gave me options on aftermarket or original glass and told me to call my insurance to make sure they would cover the original glass. I just had a fantastic experience with this business! First, I looked up, Safelite, because we have used them before and they were all I really knew about out there for auto glass repair/replacement. Well, they wanted $600 for a tiny little wing window (~8"x5") in a passenger door, and they will get to it for 6+ days! Oscar told me he could do it same day, only a couple hours later from that call! And he charged me less than half what Safelite wanted! Oscar saved the day for us last week when our car was broken into and I needed it fixed by the next day. My insurance told me to call Safelite and they couldn't get us in for 2 weeks plus I would have to drive the car to their shop and there was glass all over the seats. Oscar sourced the two pieces of glass (not easy in this time of manufacturing delays) and had the car fixed by mid-afternoon. His team was professional and friendly. He also was honest enough to tell me that the after market glass won't fit our Tesla quarter panel window, the trim hangs over so needed an actual Tesla window. I've worked with Oscar 3 times - two break ins and one cracked windshield replacement on my Subaru Forester, and I will always use him in the future (it's Oakland after all! Another break in is bound to happen). Scheduling is easy, he often is available sooner and is cheaper than any other place that I've called. My car has been broken into 3 times in the last two months. The first time the back glass was broken and the second time the driver's side quarter panel was hit, which is also the most expensive. I took my car to Auto Glass Now for the back glass. They did a good job, but didn't clear out all the glass in the door, which they should have. For the quarter panel I had to go to the dealership because I needed it replaced ASAP. Since they were two separate events, my deductible didn't apply so I had to pay out of pocket. The most recent break-in happened over the weekend. This time the back glass and quarter panel were hit on my Subaru. Apparently, thieves are hitting Subarus & VWs. I called Auto Glass and although their price was lower than Mobile City, it would take 3-4 days to get the quarter panel. I called Oscar as soon as he opened and he was very responsive. He was at my house by 2pm with the both windows. He cleaned out all the glass from inside the door too. He's completely worth the price since my deductible applied for the total cost. Great service and so thorough. Highly recommend. Would use him again. Hope I don't have to, but he's awesome. read more
