I'm new to the area so I had to rely on Yelp to find someone who could replace a dead iphone 6 battery. I couldn't call ahead so I drove half an hour completely on the chance that this could get taken care of today. I walked in, explained the problem, was told it would be about fifteen minutes - I remembered that other people wrote the same thing on here, and didn't want to set my sights for anything that special. I shattered my iPhone 6+ screen and was going to get a new one for $500, but instead I googled local phone fixers and found Mobile Device Medics. Chris could not have been more friendly, professional, or prompt. My iPhone 6 screen was badly smashed, I offered to leave and pick it up later, and Chris offered to have it done in half an hour if I wanted to wait. I waited, and the phone is as good as new. This is some of the best customer service I've ever received. The first time I had to get my iPhone 5 screen fixed, Chris hadn't even finished setting up shop on Main Street in Hyannis. I live on one of the islands and it was a Sunday - I was on my way back from a weekend away when my screen shattered. I googled the closest Apple repair place and his number came up. I called and he set up an appointment to see me even though it was his day off and he and his family were busy painting and putting the store together. He replaced my screen in about twenty minutes and it was perfect....until I shattered it AGAIN around the New Year. Once more, I only had time on a Sunday on my way back to the island...and although the store was up and running the hours were listed as closed. I tried my luck anyway and yet again Chris was more than happy to set up an appointment at the shop. This time my phone was fixed in ten minutes and the charge was $25 less than the previous visit. Not sure if he lowered his prices or was just being nice to a returning customer, but either way I'm more than happy to have this place to go to for all my iPhone needs. read more

I'd been going around in circles for about a week with Apple, Verizon, other repair people, and getting increasingly frustrated. Today, the day before Easter Sunday, 2 hours before the shop closed, I called Mobile Device Medics (thanks to Yelp) with my iphone problem--non-charging port and low low battery, AND could it be fixed by Monday. I was told if I could be there right away, he could fix my phone TODAY ! AND HE DID! My phone was a bit uncooperative, but he stuck with it, tried different things, and succeeded. And I have my phone back!! Everything works, it charges and holds a charge, data works, phone works !! Very reasonable cost too! read more

My IPhone 5 SE had issues with the connection with the charge port. Went to Staples Orleans. They were sure it was the battery (it hold a charge fine!) but didn't have the battery but Hyannis did. Hyannis Staples tech agreed with me that it was an issue with the charge port (which it was). I paid $80 for them to send out to fix. To their credit they returned the phone in 4 days and it charged fine. HOWEVER I found that no one could hear me (very very distant and almost intelligible). Stopped at MDM as they were well reviewed in Yelp. Chris said the audio wiring and the charging wires are all connected through the charging port, and some of the wiring was probably not re-connected properly. He could fix it as I waited but I had a 1 yr warranty from Staples so he understood and I had Staples send it back for another fix. Again, back in 4 days and I thought it was fixed. I was leaving to Boston for a trip to Switzerland and to my surprise same issue but too late until I returned. Just returned from trip and back to Staples. I asked questions this time. Did they check it before returning (didn't know). Do they have sim cards to install for checking purposes? Didn't know. They called and said they needed MY sim card to check it (they do repairs and don't check if the repairs are fixed????). Now I was looking at 4-5 days and no phone (I had put my sim card in an older phone while it was repaired twice). At that point I said I would like a refund, and they did without question. Went to Chris at MDM right away. He said he would look at it and come back in an hour. I did and for $50 it was fixed and he checked it with me in the store. It worked perfectly. He said that the other service didn't re-install a rubber grommet (for lack of a better word) when they replaced the charge port and re-installed it. The grommet aligns and focuses the audio in and out where the device directs the sound. So he replace the charging port again and also replaced that missing grommet and now it's clear as a bell. I found Chris on Yelp and he had good reviews, which is why I tried him. All I can say is if you have a mobile phone or ipad or ??? issue, you should check him out. Reasonable pricing, generally fixes the issues in hours or a day max, and I believe he will back up his work. For me he earned both a extremely high rating and also my future service. read more

I will admit my own fault that after breaking my screen once, I did not buy a new case immediately. I just did not expect my phone to break again after being dropped onto the carpet next to my bed the very next day. It looked as though there was too much pressure on the phone from the iphone casing and seemed almost ready to pop back out. The new break is worse than the old one (which was the result of a 3 foot drop onto a hardwood floor). read more
