So my phone not only fell off the top of my car (I forgot about it up there), but it got run over quite a few times before I found it. I thought I lost it forever, and since I don't have insurance it just would not have really worked in my favor. I see that there are good reviews for Mobile Kangaroo, but that wasn't my experience. The only reason I went there was because of the "Yelp" Pay $10.00 for $25.00 coupon deal. On my first visit Robert told me that my damaged Blackberry screen couldn't be repaired. I went to "Repair Universe" online, bought a new screen, watched the repair video, and fixed it for $27.50. Then I returned to see if Robert could unlock the same phone, that I repaired myself. That was last Friday, and he said he needed some time. He finally called me yesterday, Wednesday, (6 days) and said it was ready. I hope it really is unlocked. I did get to use my $10.00 coupon after all! read more

My MacBook Pro is a 2016 model - apparently keyboard failures are common. The replacement part that Ted ordered arrived in the 2-day expected delivery time. I used my bluetooth keyboard in the meantime. Ted was able to replace the keyboard on the same day the part arrived. Never knew about the 10% off coupon..but that doesnt even matter to me. Heres the most basic breakdown of mobile kangaroo. Giant Pricelist right on the wall when you come in. Gives you an idea of what to expect to pay. Often times, it seems the price is LESS than this though, probably because you dont always have to replace the screen AND digitizer. You will NOT FIND cheaper prices in san mateo county that are reliable. You will NOT FIND this type of help from the apple store nor any mobile service provider. Calm environment, with water available and even a WII for people who want to wait. Because they do LCD/Digitizer replacements ON THE SPOT, usually in 30 minutes or less. I cannot stress enough the LEVEL OF COMMUNICATION, and KNOWLEDGEABLY that these techs have. I almost always ask for Robert because I usually have a lot of questions. If that guy DOESNT KNOW the answer to your question, he will OUTRIGHT TELL YOU THAT! Very important for that type of job. Good luck stumping him... The worst thing about mobile kangaroo honestly is that they are virtually unknown to people around san mateo... I dropped my iPhone 5 and my screen became unresponsive. I brought my phone in and Ted replaced my screen in 15 min. I called a couple other mobile repair shops in the area but I received the best price here. Not to mention, the customer service here is unbelievable! Ted is very efficient and talked me through the process while he repaired my screen. There's also a wii for you to play with if you get bored. I used the wi-fi while Ted was repairing my phone so I can do some work while on my lunch break. I actually had to return again because I found that when I dropped my iPhone 5, the rear view camera became frozen and was also unresponsive. Ted assured me that when he replaced the screen, he did not touch the rear view camera. It would only make sense if the front camera was affected since the front camera would have to be touched to replace the screen. Either way, Ted replaced my rear view camera with a cool discount and within 20 min! This place has superb customer service! Would definitely return here! read more

I made an appt with Mobile Kangaroo through the Apple Support website & was able to get it the very next day compared to the 5-7 days at the Apple Store. My MacBook pro screen went completely blank when I tried to turn it as I was boarding my flight. I completely freaked out and panicked since I am terrible about backing up my computer and probably had not done so in 4 months. Edmond was there to assist me at my appt time who was so nice and professional. He even asked me if I tried various trouble shooting methods prior to bringing it in since it would probably cost 99 dollars for the fix. Got a phone call right on time that my phone was finished. When I told Ted I raced back over the bridge just to make it back in time before they closed, he even told me he would've stayed open a few minutes if I told him I was on the way. My 7+ looks brand new and works like a charm. I bought another tempered glass screen protector and Ted was nice enough to put it on for me. Took advantage of a Mobile Kangaroo coupon because I needed to get my phone unlocked. I didn't realize that once you have a jailbroken phone you can't take advantage of the Apple updates. The guy at the store (Mountain View location) was nice and promised me he'd have my phone back to working order by the time I got off work which was great since I dropped it off dduring my 30 min. lunch break. The phone was fixed and in working order on time as promised but the unfortunate part is that I had an older operatiing system than I originally had to begin with. I made an appointment through the Apple Support app for 1:40PM, but when I got there they were out for lunch and I had to wait outside. When they got back and opened the store, I explained my hardware issue. The repair person said they could do a diagnostic for $65 that would count towards the repair. I asked how that was different than the diagnostic that I went through with an Apple employee already, and he didn't know, just said that it was something they were entitled to charge for as an Apple Authorized Service Provider. I'm not opposed to spending money to fix a problem, but they didn't seem professional. read more

Although service was friendly and acceptable, outcome of service was severely disappointing. Went in for a battery swap; old battery life in my Macbook was running short at~4hrs. The new battery didn't improve battery life. MK reinstalled the operating system thinking that would help - it didn't. They said it was the applications that was draining the battery and there was nothing left to be done. If this was the case I would've waited till the old battery was completely dead and avoided the hassle of trouble shooting the new battery. read more

Had to replace the broken screen on my Iphone 5s. Was helped by Robert, who did a quick check to see how much the phone frame was damaged/bent, so that the new screen would still fit on the frame. Since, the phone frame was only slightly bent at one corner, he told me that the new screen would fit fine.
