After leaving my HTC Sensation on the roof then taking it for a test flight on the 101... needed to get my MyTouch back operational. Stuck in safe-mode, 2 buttons not working or flaky, battery panel missing and both water marks active, things are not looking good. Found Mobile Kangaroo on Yelp and and saw the good reviews... heck, worth a try at least. Ted was great, I dropped in (they are clearly busy so leaving phone messages does not guarantee a speedy response) showed him the situation and he jumped on it. A couple hours later I heard from him and picked up the phone. Safe-mode gone, re-insert SIM card and the phone functions! Good Deal! Gave it a test drive and... rats! The Digitizer is now flaky with a thumb size dead spot over the keyboard. Ted took it right back, pushed aside his workload and re-tackled the new problem(s). Seems the battery gave up the ghost and yes the digitizer needed replacing. $15 for a spare replacement battery on hand and they threw in the digitizer as part of the flat rate charge to fix the phone. Amazing! I'm on my what to pick up the now, mostly new, old phone and am confident it will be sorted or Robert (who took over for Ted) will fix it. Two thumbs up! Oh, I should mention Ted stayed after the store closed and kept trying to reach me until 8pm to get the phone back the same day. I'd say "Above and beyond!" Thanks Ted! Update: Got the phone, Robert worked on this device and got it finally to shape up and is working well now. The phone was fighting us! I got my iPhone 4 screen fixed b/c it had multiple cracks on it. I was deciding on going to Mobile Kangaroo or Fast Repair which was a few doors down. Mobile Kangaroo had a better yelp coupon deal so I called them to get price and availability. Their price was the best from all the other places I called. When I got to the store they took my phone and coupon and told me to come back in 30 minutes. When I came back my phone was fixed and on time! My cousin referred me to this place and I'm glad she did! I dropped my iPhone 4S in a lake and didn't get it out until 13 HOURS AFTER. I kept my phone off and they were able to fix it! The price was a cheap $60 and they said if they weren't able to fix it they wouldn't charge me (unlike the place down the street...) Another thing I liked about these guys is they walked me through what happened to my phone, opened it up right in front of me, and showed me how they were going to fix it. The 'expert' working at the Verizon Store told me my iphone was done for and the only option was to get a replacement. For a $169 deductible. I thought the point of paying for insurance was to not have to pay in situations such as these...? I took the phone to the Apple store where I was told they too couldn't fix the phone. But instead of trying to get me to pay for a new one, the very honest genius there recommended Mobile Kangaroo. I was skeptical seeing how neither Verizon nor Apple could fix my phone, but I just had to visit this place to see where the Apple geniuses go when they need geniuses. Robert at Mobile Kangaroo really is a genius. He took a look at my phone and told me he could fix it within 20 minutes. About 10 minutes later, I was pretty much good to go. During my short wait there, numerous other customers came in with various phone issues---cracked screens, water damage, keys not working---all problems most providers would tell you are lost causes and to get a new phone. All problems Robert assessed and assured they could fix. Aside from being brilliant with phones, he was also very personable and had amazing customer service skills. And I could tell he wasn't being fake or just being nice because it's required of him (like a lot of other sales people), he's just a genuinely good guy. And he plays awesome music while working (Pink Floyd, holla!), which is always a plus. Thanks to Robert my phone is good as new and with my coupon from yelp I walked out of there shelling out $25 instead of $169. I cannot recommend this place enough! I actually hope I never need to go there again, since obviously that would mean something is wrong with my phone. Kangaroo replaced my shattered iPhone 4s glass in 25 minutes on a Saturday morning while I took a stroll around the neighborhood. They did it for less than half of what Apple wanted to do the same repair. When I went to pick it up, they double-checked it and found a piece of glass that they had missed before. The associate was able to give me a loaner phone for free using my SIM card. And the whole process took about 90m. Do not EVER go to Mobile Kangaroo in San Mateo! They beyond SUCK! Gave me a 2-3 hr repair time for my cracked iPhone screen and said it would take that long because he was the only person working that day and then failed to tell me they were sending my phone out for repair until I asked for a status at 2.5hrs, when they then said it would be 2-3 MORE hours! When my phone was finally ready 30 min before they closed at 6pm the oh so generously offered me a whopping $4.00 discount on a $148 bill for wasting my time. $4?!? This place is an absolute joke! Wow - can't imagine a better experience. Cracked my IPhone 3GS screen and needed it repaired. They were super helpful and inexpensive relative to others I looked at ($45 for the fix, less a Yelp coupon discount). It only took 20 minutes. I got my phone back and noticed that the screen was not fully flush with the edges of the phone casing, so I took it back in. Turns out the drop had caused a slight warping of the iPhone innards. They took it back immediately, replaced the middle piece that holds it together at no additional charge. Friendly, responsive, quick and inexpensive. Haven't had a customer experience this good in a long time. read more

2 issues here. I come in for an iphone 5 phone cable. I ask the guy behind the counter if its authentic and not generic. And he says say. So I purchase for 10$. I get home and and the cable is not compatible to charge with my phone. I go back and they don't have any more in stock to swap out. So i just toss the crappy cable away. Next issue. My buddy and I come in for a iphone 5c repair and they guys go sure easy fix come back in 30-40 mins. So we come back and there is an issue. They repair the screen but the new screen they replaced it with had an defect to it. Had white squares on the bottom. So they tell us oh we would have to order you a new screen etc etc. Like why would you guys bother to spend time and replace a defective screen with another defective screen. read more
