I came across this store while looking for iPhone screen repair. At first I was going to buy the screen from eBay and attempt to fix it myself. Once I found this place online and started reading the reviews, the price and time couldn't be beat. I just left there store and couldn't be happier. Robert helped me, it literally took him about 15 minutes to fix my cracked iPhone 4S screen. Not to mention he had helped two other people while fixing my screen. I was definitely amazed. After searching for a mobile service company across the Peninsula, I decided to call Mobile Kangaroo in San Mateo. The tech guy - Robert was very helpful on the phone and asked good questions in trying to help resolve issues on my 3GS. I went to Mobile Kangaroo a day later and had excellent service. Robert again looked into the problem and quickly had a solution to it. Good analysis, experienced and very knowledgeable. In 15 minutes, he got it fixed and was on my way to being able to keep my 3GS as a back up working phone. Would recommend them to friends and family anytime! read more

I really have to recommend people to go else where. I took my Nexus 4 here to get fixed after it fell and the screen cracked. Mobile Kangaroo was able to replace the screen but in the process they rendered the front camera hardly useable. The front camera, which was 100% fine prior to the repair, now has tons of dust and the video and images from it look awful. When I took my camera back to the shop they cleaned the dust but said there was nothing they would or could do to fix it permanently; instead I should get a case which would stop the problem. Well, I got the official bumper and dust still got in the front camera. In retrospect I wish I went else where to get my phone fixed. Note that this occurred about 1.5 years prior to my writing of this review and I am just now getting around to it. And I obviously haven't forgotten. Update: Addressing the owner's comment: this 100% happened at Mobile Kangaroo and not the shop near by; I'm not sure if readers can see but I bought a yelp deal for Mobile Kangaroo so there is no doubt I have reviewed the correct business. read more

Marvelous service! I was initially mistaken with the quality of service as well as the quality of the glass replacement. There was a slight dent on my iPhone which caused the screen to not be properly flush within it's frame. Due to this, the glass soon cracked once again. Mobile Kangaroo did not hesitate to replace it free of charge which exceeded my expectations. Once again, exceptional service & I'll be back if any other issue ever arises! Nearly 3 years ago I placed a review in Yahoo Local about Mobile Kangaroo's San Mateo store stating "Gave them 2 iBook laptops to get the hard drives replaced and they did it in just a few days for less than half of the estimates from their competition in this area! Friendly, kind...SEE them!" Since then our school gave them the job of upgrading 24 Mac Minis from 1gb to 4gb of RAM for my computer lab and they charged us only $14 more per unit than just LABOR would cost anywhere else! And they knew the dependable sources for those sticks. There've been times they've charged me NOTHING for labor. So now these upbeat guys are my #1 source for computer repair, and are more like family to me! read more

Horrible customer service by petite Asian man. I had an appointment with him for the battery recall replacement on my Apple Laptop. His store was listed as an option to get this work done so I selected it rather than go to the Apple store in a busy mall. When I arrived he told me to go to Apple since he would have to ship it to Apple. So I drove over to the Hillsdale Apple store and guess what? They have to ship it out too. Unreal. Unhelpful and clearly hasn't a clue. read more

I was so surprised by the level of their customer service. Repair shops are often sketchy or they do things just to make a quick buck, but from the moment i walked in these guys showed that the most important thing was that I felt safe with the process and could trust them. They repaired my iphone 4s power button and explained to me what was happening. when complications arose (mine was that my battery was overheating) they offered to replace my battery with a new one for free. Came in today after dropping my phone as I was running down the stairway of my hospital. My iPhone 6 screen was completely shattered. Found this store after a quick yelp search and decided to give it a go. Compared to other stores, the price was perfect and the customer service was even better! $120 total ($100 after the $10 for $20 coupon!) plus lifetime warranty. I cannot say enough good things about Mobil Kangaroo. The first time i went in i needed my iphone 5 screen replaced. I was given a fair price, and had my phone back shinny and like new in less than half an hour. Not only was the service quick and friendly, they guy working gave me advice on how to take care of my phone without trying to sell me anything or pushing me to buy any extras from the store. Super nice people here! I got my wife's phone screen replaced, and it was quick and they were friendly/helpful/knowledgeable. They also sell cases, which you may get for a reduced price or even free depending on what they have, etc. Also, I got there right before they closed, and was planning on picking the phone up the next day, but they said if I had a few minutes they'd do it. They also asked if I was experiencing any other problems, because they could fix them, because they were opening the phone anyway. I would trust them for future repairs, and happily recommend them! Mobile Kangaroo is amazing. After my iPhone got shattered (and continued to get shattered till I found a place to get it fixed), I was hoping I could get an upgrade, but I was stuck with my current phone till October unless I wanted to get pay full retail for a new phone (uh, no) or get a refurbished one for the amount it would take to get a screen fixed (again, no). A friend and family member told me about Mobile Kangaroo, and it seemed like the least sketchiest and most affordable of places I could get my screen fixed. The service normally takes 20 minutes, but since I went in on Saturday, it was pretty busy. However, the salesperson (I forgot to get his name!) was incredibly courteous and told me he'd give me and my friend a call as soon as it was ready. Although I did have to wait a while longer, the service was amazing and my iPhone came back as good as new. Not to mention, the Yelp offer was great and helped me saved $40. No complaints about this place, it's my new go-to for iPhone and electronic repair services. read more

I was given a phone quote of $89 to replace an iPhone 5s screen which would take approximately 1/2 an hour. Upon arriving 30 minutes later, the price had gone up to $129 & would take at least 3.5 hours. That I could live with but since I was was treated w/such disrespect in the process, I decided to pass. read more

I had dropped my iPhone 6 Plus (in a case!) and the top of the front panel popped off. It still worked but I was so upset and thought I would have to either get a new phone or live with a busted one. Awesome service and the store has what you need!! My Sprint smartphone battery died. The local Sprint store said they don't carry batteries "because they are an environmental hazard." Crazy stuff. I went to Mobile Kangaroo and they had two different battery types in stock. I was in and out of there in minutes and bought a new battery with extended life for $21.75 total. I feel bad I wish I would've come here first before going into the Apple store panicked about the quality of work done on my new screen. Upon seeing my review Ted contacted me immediately and wanted to make things right. I was very surprised when he offered a full refund. I had the phone fixed at Apple but today I received a full refund from Ted and a new screen protector for free. I cracked the screen on my Samsung Galaxy 4 phone. Was referred to Mobil Kangaroo in San Mateo. I called and spoke with Teddy, who was very patient with me. I explained what I needed and he went to check his inventory. He told me that he had a screen for my phone. I told him I would be there later in the day. On entering their shop in the afternoon, I was greeted by Stephan, who looked at my phone. Teddy was there and remembered speaking with me earlier in the day. He told Stephan that there was one screen in the back that would fit my phone. I waited for my screen to be replaced, which took less than 30 minutes. It actually would have taken a shorter time to fix, however, other customers kept coming in and both Stephan and Teddy were very attentive to all who walked into the shop. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking to replace a screen on their phone or tablet. The atmosphere in the store is quite sterile, especially since you have to wait around quite a bit to get your electronic fixed...however, the guys who work here are great. They couldn't replace the glass on my iphone 5S without leaving a slight crack, so they refunded me the money for the replacement.
