I haven't tried this service, but I can't tell you when I called. The gentleman was very knowledgeable. He basically helped me without even using his service. I do believe he has quality work based on his knowledge not to mention he was very inexpensive. He diagnosed my 2004 GMC Denali Over the phone and suggested that I do the repairs myself by going. To an automotive store to purchase the simple hose fittings, which I did and made it all the way back home to Arizona where I live. I requested a quote through Yelp and Kareem responded within minutes. I was hesitant about the whole "mobile mechanic" thing, since I'm use to repair shops - but it was worth it. Zoey was experiencing some issues recently. She even had to be towed a few times. One one occasion, I chose not to have her towed in, but to have someone come physically over and check her out. It was Mobile Mechanic Services to the rescue. Very fast response time. Via Yelp messaging and then later, via phone. Great communication. More on this later. When he arrived, he immediately got to work. Asking questions and then looking for issues. He shared his findings with me as well as taking parts apart and discussing what other issues might be the cause. He did find that a part was loose (MAF sensor) that he tightened down. He felt confident that it would resolve the issue and he was on his way. The issue was eventually resolved but not right away. Took a few days for me to test drive her and the issue still persisted. Reached out to him via text which he responded by saying he would swing by in the afternoon. Which he didn't. I never heard back from him again. This kind of left me with a bad taste in my mouth but I made a call to another mechanic and was instructed that the computer that's the brains of the car just needs to be reset or relearn things and to drive it around for a while for it to figure it all out. Which I did and it did. For him to find a simple fix like tightening up a few screws is something I wish I could have done or that the initial shop would have caught when I had brought her in for a second time. But the issue was resolved and that's the bottom line. Zoey and I are back on the road with zero issues. read more

I don't know about you, but I am so tired of people trying to take advantage of me. ROBERT IS ABSOLUTELY HONEST AND HIS PRICES ARE EXCELLENT. He is more than fair, does great work, and he will not tell you something needs to be done when it doesn't. That's invaluable to me, living in a city full of unethical people--doctors, attorneys, auto mechanics contractors, etc. etc. So many of them are what my mother used to call "Crooks!" I knew it was time for my front brakes to be done and needed them done rather quickly. There was another mobile service I called where the guy within minutes says that if you are replacing brakes, he always recommends replacing the rotors at the same time because yata, yata , yata. He sounds like he believes himself. I'm pretty sure I used him before, and despite a lot of 5 star ratings, the brakes were never right. Robert happened to be able to come very quickly, was friendly, and completed the work in our driveway. No fuss, no upsell, just fast, efficient service. Immediately, I could tell the difference from the last guy who did them (much, much better), and he told us that we did not need rotors!!! Do not use this person! Robert came to our home initially after my check engine light came on, did the assessment, said we needed to replace three parts, and came to "fix"the car the next day. We were charged $750. Within one mile of driving the car, after he "fixed it," the check engine light came on, started vibrating uncontrollably, and was exponentially worse than it was before he worked on it. That's not the worse part. For the following week, he said he needed to get another part, was first going to be there on Monday, then Tuesday, actually, no, he wouldn't have it until Friday, and then Saturday, and never showed up. , He ghosted me the entire week. I have two disabled children, one five year old who is wheelchair bound, who I couldn't drive to his therapies because I was waiting for this man who was supposed to fix the only car we have that can accommodate his wheelchair. This guy is a liar, a thief, and a scam artist. If I could give him zero stars I would. Do yourself a favor, go to a reputable mechanic, as this man is anything but. read more

He assisted in finishing a project. Great value. Where this review goes to one star is his responses after the fact. He initially didn't finish be I was missing three screws in my car and told me he'd be back as soon as I get them. Two days later, I had the screws and sent him texts, no response. I waited 4 hours and gave him a call, no answer, and I left a message on his phone. The next day, I called once and texted twice; only one response from him, promising he'd be here the next day if not someone he works with. He's a no-show all the next day, waiting for him to appear. I told him that I had a job coming up and needed him to get there the next day, or I couldn't wait any longer. He gave an excuse that his mom was hurt and hadn't been on his phone; okay, understandable; he'll be here the next day. The next day, again, no show. Text him, call him three times, and run late to the event. I was working, waiting for him again to show, again, no show. Now I'm upset and frustrated. I complain to him, and he says, "I'm not obligated to show up." After making three promises to show up to install three screws, yeah, you are. First I will say he was really honest and his knows his car stuff and I felt relief after having him see my car. The dealership try to take $1,400 for something minor updating codes. My car runs just fine and I'm grateful for his honesty. I don't know how this guy gets these 5 star reviews. He is a BS artist. I called him to look at my car and he came and told me that my previous mechanic never replaced my fuel pump. He lifted up the back seat and said that the pump had not been replaced. I went to another mechanic who said that they did replace it. He was also supposed to come to fix this a few times and was unavailable. He does not have a voice mail so there is no way to leave a message. He was supposed to come the night before Thanksgiving and never showed up and lied and said that he was in an accident. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and then he was supposed to come again to fix my car and never showed up. He said that he was finishing up a job and would come later. He never showed up. I kept trying to call him but got a message that said that he has a vm that has not been set up yet. I can't believe he is still in business. read more
