Thanks to Dr. Surgeon's intelligence, skill, and compassion, our dog is still with us, all healed up, back to his healthy weight, and calmly and happily enjoying his elder years. Although I am a physician I am not familiar with this procedure in canines, but apparently open incisions are used to cut into the bladder for stone removal. My. Baby girl was discharged in howling pain, which was traumatic for my sister who had retrieved her. She had to return her to demand appropriate pain management for the dog as she was only given gabapentin and Rimadyl (doggie Advil). Even women who have cesarean sections are given strong analgesia for at least 3 days postoperatively. My baby suffered for days. I called the office the following day to get information regarding her diet going forward, as bladder stones can definitely recur. Not only was I not given any information, but I was merely switched to another person who just asked for my financials to make payment for the "extra (much needed) meds." I was given a generic receipt, so my insurance denied the payment, and I was NEVER given the invoice for the surgery, which was almost 3k and paid in full up front. I sent an email requesting the invoice, and to date they refused to respond, so I will not be able to submit for the reimbursement. When my son called the office he was told that they "didn't know" about the insurance- even though it is on file. Although they claim they will submit, I don't have much faith that they will. Further, why was this not handled from the beginning before they tortured my baby? If a human patient is treated this way there are patient advocates & lawyers promptly involved. I guess things are different in Veterinary Medicine.... But animals deserve compassionate care, too. Some people love their pets more than their spouses. In addition, pet parents should be counseled regarding the operative course, what to expect, and how to manage their pets post-operatively at home. My family, and especially my dog, were traumatized by this experience. This vet got good reviews on Yelp for some reason; maybe they are acceptable for routine well care visits and minor illnesses. But if you have a pet with serious illness or require invasive or surgical intervention I encourage you to seek another Veterinary practice.

But the care my dog receives here is top notch. The vets and vet techs have true compassion, the front desk staff is friendly, and I have not had one issue since coming here. My dog is very nervous and even though he isn't a fan of coming, all of the staff ensure that he feels comforted on his visits. I do believe the front desk submits insurance claims for the animal if you carry a policy, but I have always submitted on my own.

While our (old) regular vet could fit the dog in several days later, the doctors here had us come in immediately! We have had other emergencies there after and were treated in the same manner. Very reassuring to know we can rely on them for any situation. Recently we had to put our cat down due to a combination of old age and sickness. The staff was extremely helpful and comforting during this time. They gave us a clay ornament with the cats pawprint as a parting gift. It was so thoughtful and really set them apart from other vets. They are always so kind and even send letters for holidays. Definitely satisfied with the experiences we have had here and will continue doing business and recommending to friends and family!

I never seen any animal in the shelter that was uncared for. Their adoption form shows you that they care who adopts their animals. The employees are professional, friendly, understanding and caring. Tiffany the manager is the person I've been dealing with for many years and I never had a complaint about her. She's sincere about her job. The manager before her wasn't alway pleasant but she did care for the animals. Beverly the lady that answers the phone has always been professional. I will continue to bring my TNR cats to the shelter. That project is a great help to keep the kitten population down. It's worth the money. We trusted them because we'd had three cats TNR'd through them over the years and we've also given them kittens that we found in the past so that they could find homes for them. We were told they could help her in the interim and that we would be coming back to PICK HER UP. We NEVER authorized euthanasia and were NEVER told they believed she could not be saved. Instead, after WE contacted them for an update, they TEXTED us: "Her injuries were bad. We humanely euthanized her." That is how we found out our beloved cat was DEAD. They did not call us. They did not ask permission. They did not give us the chance to take her somewhere else, get another opinion, or say goodbye. They made an irreversible decision for us and only told us AFTER it was already done. They now claim we were told she "couldn't be saved." We were not. If there was any misunderstanding, all they had to do was PICK UP THE PHONE and ask us. Rascal was NOT "just a feral cat." She had a name, a bed, a routine, a home, and people who adored her. She followed us from window to window for pets, jumped inside for treats, lounged with us in the yard, and gave us the sweetest little angel meow when we came home. She was family. She wasn't even four years old. When we went to pick her up, instead of compassion or an apology, we were argued with and treated like a nuisance. We were told, "Why would I take your word over three of my employees?" Then our beloved Rascal was returned to us inside a black garbage bag in our carrier. We have done nothing but cry since this happened. We are devastated that we couldn't protect her and that we trusted the wrong people while desperately trying to get her help. I understand that sometimes euthanasia is the humane choice. That is NOT the issue. The issue is that they made that decision for OUR CAT without communicating with us or giving us the opportunity to make it ourselves. If I could go back in time, I would NEVER entrust my angel to this organization. They may delete this review, delete my comments, or block me. It will not erase what happened. I will continue telling Rascal's story and demanding accountability through every legitimate avenue available to me. I hope karma finds those responsible. And don't worry, it will. We have to live with this loss for the rest of our lives because of the stupidity and the deplorable behavior of these people. They do not care for animals, they "euthanize" them when they don't feel like dealing with them and they have no manners, no empathy, no compassion, and are cold-hearted ugly individuals who don't explain anything to anyone, are poorly trained and horrible -and might I add MISERABLE- at their jobs, and when blamed with the responsibility of killing someone's pet, they turn into the monsters they truly are- they start defending their deplorable actions, they add insult to injury and to the already traumatic situation and they start attacking others instead of taking accountability. I needed an appointment for my cat for an evaluation and they did not tell me Dr katz would not be…read moreseeing the cat. I was shocked to find some woman veterinarian come in and in a nutshell she decided that the cat was dangerous and needed to be put to sleep. She couldn't force me but she was so strong and insistent and I was in such shock I wasn't thinking clearly I never would have allowed that without more evaluation. And so I put my five-year-old baby to sleep because she has been attacking me when I realized when I went home and found more research that I was covering her hiding spot and she was stressed and I told the doctor that this was a recent behavior which should have clued her and I killed my poor baby only 5 years old for no reason. The doctor was hardcore and vicious maybe she was good medically but certainly not adequate on other levels and I'm devastated. How do you bring back an animal that you loved and raised since it was 3 months old? The cat was my friend it was perfect I realized that but it should have been evaluated differently. I don't know why I wasn't thinking clearer.. I'm shocked at myself for allowing this to happen without more evaluation. I would not go to this hospital unless you see Dr Katz but I'm going to call him and give him a piece of my mind for hiring a woman who had no heart and was totally way off base. She even said well there are 800,000 animals out there waiting to be adopted like this one doesn't even matter. This was my pet!!! A pet who slept on my bed at night and kissed me in the morning who was stressed out and I didn't realize it and there was the doctors mandatory obligation to explore a little bit more about why the cat may have been acting out rather than scaring and shocking me as she did. I hope she has a miserable life because she's a cruel and miserable human being for what she did to me for no reason.
