Had to bring my 7 year old daughter here to be put under for several teeth to be extracted and the staff was so communicative in the days leading up to the appointment. Everyone was warm and accommodating from the nurses to the front office staff. Naturally, this is nerve-wracking for a parent and young child, but they explained the process and communicated periodically through the procedure and also stayed by our side as my daughter regained consciousness. Earlier this year my 4 year old had dental surgery elsewhere...I was not thrilled with the experience, so when it was time for my 8 year old to have a similar procedure, I looked elsewhere. This review is long over due. However I brought my niece in to get work done since she had to many fillings. She had to be put under anesthesia. The whole staff and Dr.Jefferey were just amazing in coordination and keeping me updated on the progress with my niece while she was under anesthesia . I'd like to thank Dr.Cherish DDS for the great work as well without her this wouldn't have got done.The only thing I recommend for future reference is to inform parents to bring an extra pair of clothes for their kids in case they have an accident after waking up from anesthesia. Today's experience was amazing. I had a procedure done on my 6 year old girl and it was the easiest thing I've ever done! If you're on this page, most likely your little one needs some dental work, and the dentist advised that general anesthesia is the way to go and you are nervous. I was absolutely in the same boat as you, and I cannot recommend MobiSurg enough! I am so happy we decided to go with MobiSurg instead of doing it at her dental office, they have a full team and equipment to support your precious child and guide you through the process! My daughter is young and has dental anxiety, her dental work wasn't anything extensive or complicated so I was the most worried about putting her under. I'm very grateful her dental office referred me to MobiSurg. From the first phone call to our visit today, the entire team was warm, caring and most of all, incredibly knowledgeable. The scheduling team made the scheduling process easy and smooth. The nurses (Jordan and Tim) were so good about keeping us updated throughout the process and Jordan stayed with us in the recovery room to monitor her vitals and chatted with us for the 20 minutes it took her to wake up, and gave us wonderful aftercare tips. Dr. Jeff is friendly, warm and caring. He called the night before the session to ensure we had all the questions answered. On the day of, he approached my daughter so charismatically with his magic stethoscope she was not nervous at all! I had prepared her before hand about the mask, and she fell asleep so easily in my arms, and came out of anesthesia very calmly in my arms. He talked me through every step and I knew exactly what to expect. He also checks up on your little one afterwards as well. She requested ice cream upon waking, and is fully back to her normal self several hours later and is eating her dinner with no memory of her fillings. My two year old went under general anesthesia for her dental care with doctor Yehezkel at Irvine PDO (the best), and I'll be honest, I was absolutely terrified and my anxiety was at an all time high. That said, doctor Cashin was so great and made all parties (mom/dad/and the little one) feel more at ease. We recently found out our youngest needed a lot of dental work and the options for 4-5 separate visits with local anesthesia and general anesthesia was presented. Due to both myself and husband having traumatic childhood dental filling experiences, we opted to put our daughter under for a more stress free experience for her. Dr. Cherish assured me this team was very well vetted by her and there was nothing to worry about. Her dentist Dr. Cherish and mobisurg coordinator, Joy worked really hard to squeeze her in on short notice. Dr. Cherish gave us a heads up on a tentative date for the procedure the following Tuesday. Confirmation to be sent on Monday with more information. Joy connected with us on Monday with all the consent forms and our daughter was set up for Tuesday (12/07/21) 530p. The anesthesiologist Dr. Shar called us the night before to walk us through the process of general anesthesia. Explained all the intended effects and potential short term effects. He was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Since grandma was watching my daughter the following day, he stressed the importance to diet restriction prior. The next day, we received updates of a procedure delay and they would confirm one more time before having us head down. I called at 430p. Confirmed we were still on, and then proceeded 30miles down south. The surgery center was in a low key small office building area. Easy parking. Small, quiet lobby. Aquarium and instrumental relaxing music on repeat. A female staff member came out and completed additional digital and paper consents. We waited a little while longer and then Dr. Shar came out with his magic carpet introduction of the process. He was very kind, got down right to the level of my daughter to help make her feel more at ease. He let me know beforehand of how to enter into the surgical room and what to expect. Lots of items will be foreign and frightening for my little one. He coached me on behavior and plan to reduce her stress. All his counting was accurate and she fell asleep quickly and in my arms which was sweet. I was then excused to the lobby. They would start IVs and get everything done. They would bring her to recovery then wake her up in my arms again. Everything went as planned, I received intermittent updates which meant the world as this was the first time she has gone under. When she was almost done. They let me into the s recovery area with clear windows and repaired a hospital chair with a pillow to sit in. I was getting a tad bit antsy waiting in the room with the sliding door closed so I opened it a bit. Dr. Shar and staff were awaiting completion. Then carried my daughter out. Let me know which tube was where and why she had different marks on her face etc. so I wouldn't be startled. The nice nurse *sorry I forgot your name. Who only works two days a week gave her ample time to wake up and provided me with good conversation to ease my nervousness. My daughter finally woke up and we were wheeled to the car door. I am so, so grateful of Dr. Cherish, Dr. Shar and his team for working over 15 hours that day. They really care for the little human clients they have. Professional, knowledgeable and compassionate.
