Every single thing in this store is dedicated to making your baked goods, candy/cupcakes/brownies/cookies, the best they can be. They sell icing, a huge selection of candies to top your cupcake, curd and other food items. What I find more exciting than ingredients, is all their fabulous packaging. If you are constantly pinning DIY food gifts on Pinterest, your head is going to blow off in this place! Racks are backed with the most adorable cupcake papers, containers, birthday candles, gift boxes, bags and pans. You bake it, they have it AND it's 10 times cuter than what you already have at home! Even if you are not baking treats, stop in here and you are sure to find something. I walked out with sparkler candles, chocolate nibs and a trivet!

They also have a lot of party decorations and items of various themes. There is a kitchen baking area for classes and presentations. I've gone in to browse several times. The employees aren't particularly friendly (nor mean, just not inviting) and they usually seem busy putting out inventory or working on stuff behind the counter rather than approaching customers. That's my only complaint about the place.

As my 2 toddlers and baby are walking into to our car, a driver comes flying in off Metcalf and stops right before he's about to potentially hit us. This is one of many, many super unsafe moments from this one week alone trying to get acres to and away for the establishment. It's so incredibly dangerous. My toddlers cried and panicked bc they and myself thought we were just about to get mowed down. It would have been less scary for them if at least this weirdo didn't roll down his window and yell at us pedestrians which consisted of a mother, a baby on a baby stroller and two tiny toddlers. They cried and were once an again scared bc this deranged individual took time to act a fool after the fact. Real shame. Parking is unsafe this is just one of many instances so I'm sharing this since, bc it will mark our last time going here. Too dangerous. Almost needed up as splatter.

They also host various cooking classes, and if you go to their calendar or the "pick-up food" section on their site, the owner sells tasty, home-cooked meals every Tuesday + baked breads on Friday (lately, it's been dinner rolls, challah bread, and cinnamon roles) that you can pre-order and pick-up in-store. Great local find.

I saw a woman pour a little bit of vinegar into a little paper cup and sip it straight, so in true monkey-see-monkey-do fashion I did the same. My first taste was the White Peach Balsamic. Forget everything you know about balsamic vinegar, stuff this good is on a different plane of existence altogether. Wow! So syrupy and brightly flavored I now understood the glaring lack of bread cubes. Who needs them? The White Peach was like jam. I was instantly thinking of pouring it over ice cream, or ... ? It turned my world upside down. My budget permitted a purchase of just one bottle this trip, but you can rest assured I will be coming back to add to my collection. If you're curious, I chose the Lime Jalepeno Balsamic as my first bottle. All I add is a little oil, salt & pepper and I have a salad dressing that knocks my socks off!

So I went to the bar and no one said a word to me although I'm standing right there. I asked for help and I was stared at as if I were speaking a different language. I advised the young lady I was waiting on a brewed coffee and an iced matcha latte she said ok and asked for my receipt, then said someone will bring it to me. I told her I was waiting but whoever brought my food took my number. So she said she'll take care of it. I waited 10 minutes and another young lady (pixie cut) came to me and asked what I needed, I told her I was waiting on 2 drinks and showed her my receipt. She apologized, but had no idea what was going on. So I waited again, she brings out my drinks in a holder cuz my hands were full. I get to the car and the brewed coffee is literally cold and not sweet (I asked for 3 Splendas and 2 creams, it was also on my receipt). So I bring it back in and I'm ignored again by 2 workers just standing there making small talk. After getting her attention, I advised her the coffee was cold. She pours me another cup then sets it down aggressively. I asked for cream and sugar and at this point, her face said, I pretty much sh*tted on her day. She pours half & half into a creamer glass and slides it to me. I then ask for Splenda, she said, it's over there. However, it's Stevia, so I asked for regular sugar and she said we don't carry that. Had I known they don't carry Splenda and/or regular sugar I would not have ordered a regular brewed coffee.I remove the lid and of course the coffee will s just lukewarm. I just add cream and grab some raw brown sugar and leave. I was too aggravated to go full Karen cuz at that point my attitude was worse than the young lady making drinks that day. The steak sandwich was a huge pass for me. The bread was like a wet brick with about 6 slices of steak on it. The bread to meat ratio was totally off and not worth it. On a positive note... The iced Matcha latte, pastries and the sweet potato fries were amazing. Next time I'm in KC, I'll have to find a new GF place to patronize.
