When my waiter asked me if it was ok that my tuna tacos would be seared rare/mid-rare I almost hugged him. Too many restaurants I have visited ruin a good piece of tuna by overcooking it. This place did not disappoint. The tuna was nicely seasoned with pepper and the wasabi mayo sauce was the perfect blend. The lettuce on the taco was uninspiring; your basic side salad lettuce. Man, if they shredded that lettuce and tossed it in the mayo, this place would probably be crawling with hipsters (maybe I know why it's so white bread now). Still a great taco. House made potato chips with BBQ seasoning were a nice addition to these tacos. read more

We were looking for somewhere new for my birthday and happened to find Moby Dicky's. It is located on the water, and has a great setting. In my past experiences, fun restaurants located on the water typically have ok food, Moby Dicky's is the exception. I ordered the Mahi Mahi and it was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered a steak which was awesome (and I'm not a huge steak lover). This will definitely be our new "hang", especially once the weather is nicer. Great find! read more

I really want to like this place but it always disappoints. There is nothing fresh about the menu. The chicken sliders have been good in the past, but tonight they were pre- frozen, pre breaded, flat saucers that were greasy and fried to almost a burnt crisp. French fries are frozen from the bag and my side salad was a bowl of iceberg lettuce. read more

This place is pretty legit. The suchi is excellent but be advised they don't start serving it until after 4. I would say they could use more tables on the patio and I won't even mention the parking. The food is good. Nice variety of regular food and seafood. Lots of locals go here and they make you fell like your one even if your aren't. There is one greeter that needs a little more training in sitting people in the order they come in and not forget about you. At least that's what i hope happens. Yum! We just moved to Hendersonville and a realtor suggested we try this place. Spicy bloody Mary's were extra spicy and delicious! Crab cakes we're yummy as was the halibut and snapper! We will be back for sure! read more

I really liked this place. I ordered the snapper and the tuna tacos. Enjoyed both dishes. The snapper was cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely. Really liked the slaw as well. It was sweat and spicy. The tuna was seared and had a bit of a crispy texture that went well with everything in the tacos. They also served the tacos on a handy little taco stand! The atmosphere of the place is nice as well. Reminds me of a place you might go to on a beach somewhere. The bartender informed they have sushi on Thursdays I believe and they have a sake machine. Great seafood and atmosphere. I like most of their food the bang bang shrimp is my favorite. I thought the sushi was just okay. The inside is nice with tables and a very large bar. The inside bar has lots of tvs. It open up to a great view of the lake. There are also tables outside! read more

The atmosphere outside was great but the food was just ok. I had the Moby Dickey which is a fish sandwich. You would think it'd be amazing since it's their signature but I found it lacking flavor. My friend had the steak biscuits and he said they were amazing. read more

This was the most overpriced, underwhelming meal I have eaten in a long time. The grouper rap was nothing but coleslaw, and soupy coleslaw at that. I don't think there was a tablespoon of fish in it. The group or dinner consisted of one sad little fillet, two marble-sized hushpuppies, and an ear of grilled corn it was the optional side. The corn was good. The setting of this place is lovely, but we had a bad experience last weekend. It was very busy, so we waited over an hour for a table. From the time we were seated and placed our order, we waited yet another hour and a half for our food. The most unacceptable part of this experience was that neither the server nor the owner offered any kind of compensation for the inconvenience. Comping a round of drinks, for example, would have been a nice gesture, let alone giving a discount on the food. At the end, the owner just thanked us for our patience in a very perfunctory manner without having the decency to apologize or engage in a conversation. We're an agreeable bunch, so that would have gone a long way. It showed a real lack of appreciation for his customers. Food was decent and our server was great but an hour later we were asking for an update on our lunch and we were told they lost the ticket but working on it right now. 20 mins later we got our lunch. Manager was rude and told us they "run behind" when it's busy and said they didn't lose the ticket, it was just busy, throwing his server totally under the bus. Claimed they weren't a fast food restaurant and that's why it took so long. AJ, the manager was unprofessional and unsympathetic to the fact that we were served so long after our order. Just moved to the area and was nervous about going on a busy holiday weekend but I'm so glad we gave it a try. The wait was not long. Food was fresh, everything tasted good, the potato chips are freshly made in house and go great with the dill sauce. Baked potato was great, red snapper so good, and my picky son loved his kid's sliders. Service was great from our server, Abby. She was pleasant, professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. I was very surprised at how small the place was. I imagine there can be long waits during busy times and there is no area to hang around while waiting for your table. Very cute little restaurant in Hendersonville, located on Drakes Creek. The menu offers delicious seafood options. I had the red snapper which was moist and flavorful, smothered in herb butter. I had the spicy coleslaw which could've been spicer for my taste but my sister enjoyed it. The H'ville roll was delicious as well as the fried clams. My sister had the snow crab legs and loved it. The hush puppies were the best I've ever had. I recommend anyone traveling to Nashville should try this restaurant. It doesn't look like much from the curb but well worth it. Loved it! read more

I was so excited to finally eat at this place after living nearby for 4 months. What a huge disappointment. From the service to the food, nothing was good. Our server was either having a bad day or just rude AF. No hi, welcome, just "what do you want to order"? She literally (no exaggeration), rolled her eyes when I asked what she preferred over two choices. The Gray Whale I ordered was awful. No alcohol at all. Fun hangout for drinking on the lake. Just need to drink a lot if you want the food to taste good. Bar food. Nothing more. Nothing less. Daughter ordered a kiddie cocktail/Shirley temple. I'm not sure what they made, but it wasn't right. When we pointed this out, the server argued with us. Also ordered popcorn shrimp which were regular sized. Our daughter was obviously disappointed. I went here with five other friends (we all had masks, social distanced, and planned to eat out on the patio), I went in first to check the place out to make sure it was suitable to eat in during this pandemic. I walked in and only one person besides me in the whole place had on a mask! The person was a server(I felt so sorry for her), the place was packed, and I even went to the reception guy and said "so y'all ain't wearing mask in here", and he said it with pride"no we don't have to". Funny statement since their mayor re-rolled out a mask mandate announcement that day because of the explosion of infections in the area, and it went into affect two days later! Having to is not always a precedent for doing what's right and makes common sense. Gross, gross, and gross, shame on you super spreader restaurant. 30 minutes have passed waiting for our food. The place is not busy at all. Crab legs, fried oysters, shrimp hoagie and a simple baby spinach salad. Let's say everything was decent with exception of the spinach salad which was $8.95 for a layer of spinach. What was underneath was wilted. I sent it back and due to the time we had waited I opted to skip a replacement. Location is nice. It was clean enough. Sweet waitress. I think their draw is for the bar and location. Came in for a quick drink right before close. I asked for a menu to look over and still had two employees ask me if I wanted food before the kitchen closed.
