GARBAGE. If I could give less than a 1 star I would. We have had MAJOR issues 3 different times. They advertise a lunch special from 11-3:30. We call at 3:25 (yes very close BUT we are a business and had about an $80 dollar order) they refused to abide by there own advertisements. They proceeded to be rude to my co-worker and called her a sir, we asked to speak to a manager and they refused that as well. Two weeks ago they messed up our order and blamed it on the person on the phone. Never experienced a business with such little respect for people. We have tried them time and time again even after all he messed up orders and rudeness. If I could rate -5 stars, I would. I don't usually complain about one bad experience in a restaurant, but this has been on several occasions. The last occasion was the worst and makes me sure that I will not order or patronize at this location again. We usually order around $100 worth of food. On multiple occasions, the delivery man was rude and insisted on a bigger tip. We tip well to begin with, so him wanting a bigger tip was nonsense. The workers and delivery are arrogant, ill-mannered and don't care about their customer service in the slightest, but that's the least of my complaints. When we opened our miso soup, there were wonderful little baby roaches floating on top. There were even roaches in the sushi. We were appalled and sick to our stomachs. When we called the place for them to take the food back, they practically denied that we even ordered from them and refused to do anything. We wanted to speak to the boss and were refused the opportunity to do so. Workers hardly speak any English and are very nasty. Our only alternative now, is to call the board of health, report them to the Better Business Bureau, and possibly sue them. This is probably one of my worst experiences at a restaurant ever. For me to have to call the board of Health and Better Business bureau, which I have never done before, let me tell you that this place is beyond terrible. Had some general tso chicken from here a few nights ago. The worst I have ever had! After each bite I got a faint flavor of imitation crab meat! I am sad to say I'm pretty disappointed. I used to come here all the time prior to Super Storm Sandy and was forced to move. I just recently moved back and was eager to eat here again. The service was mediocre at best. They seemed almost annoyed that I was placing an order. The food was terrible. It didn't taste fresh at all. I don't know if the food was bland and the sauces covered up the bland meat or worse the food was past its expiration date and the thick sauces covered that up ..... perhaps I was spoiled living in Flushing and had amazing cuisine while there but this was just plain disappointing. I wish I read all the reviews before ordering from this restaurant... DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS! After leaving 3 menus on my doorstep, my family and I decided to give this place a try. We order Chinese food an average of 2x per week and were excited to try a new spot. After ordering food for delivery including 2 orders of Crispy Sesame shrimp, our food was delivered an hour later and one of our orders was incorrect. I immediately called to allow for them to rectify the situation and could not believe how I was being spoken to. I was very clear when I initially placed my order and this was definitely their mistake, however I was treated as if I were a nuisance. First, a woman picked up the phone and scolded me for not making sure my order was correct after she repeated it to me. The funny thing was - she wasn't even the person who took my order! I spoke to a man initially and he did not repeat what I ordered. She passed the phone to him and it seemed all they wanted to do was argue. This "gentleman" proceeded to tell me that the next time I order from them that I need to make sure that I am listening properly when they repeat my order. He spoke to me as if I were a 10 year old child and constantly interrupted me while I was speaking. I have never in my life experienced anything like it. I quickly told them to forget bringing the correct order and that I would never patronize their business again! Even if I said the wrong thing, which I definitely did not, where and when is it EVER acceptable to speak to your customers that way? They obviously have no concept of what customer service means and seem to be quite miserable. I know that how they spoke to me is completely a reflection on them and not on me. To top it off, the food was not great and tasted like it was cooked in old oil. I said I made a mistake on my phone number but we have sorted and now I am expecting the food to arrive... She insisted that the address is wrong again... I have experienced blatant racism with this establishment after delivering a few times stated that they do not deliver to my neighborhood anymore and hung up. After calling to speak to the manager was told by a girl that did not sound like a manager that it was a declined card to my address which is an utter and complete lie, then she states it could've been in your building (what does that have to do with me)? then she says maybe they used your address and I stated that well wouldn't I have received the food, this lady had the nerve to say that maybe it was left in the hall!!! In my head I am like why not just state the obvious...Far Rockaway is not a community that you desire to service even though I live in a gated community. She said that if I wanted to have food I would have to pay cash! Which one of my constitutional rights are you messing with and I know Visa, Mastercard and American Express and Discover for that matter would not be too happy to hear that you take credit cards from some of their customers, but not the rest!!! Today I called Moca to order some food for family that stopped by. The woman over the phone took my order however she was quite rough and rude I ordered over $45 worth of meals, when it was time for me to give her my payment information she seemed quite irritated that I took a moment to get my credit card and kept saying "what's the number??" Repeated twice she kept rushing me and asking me for the number I told her hold on a minute I'm getting my card...she sighed loudly. I became increasingly uncomfortable and decided not go through with the order since her attitude and mannerism was very off-putting and turned me off completely from spending money with the establishment, so I simply hung up. She called back after about 2 minutes, I chose not to get into a discussion or argument with her,( I don't feel as if anyone there would care about losing a customer) she calls back and says "do you want this order or not!?" I simply replied "you were very rude, no thank you" and hung up. I've tried to stay with Moca's since there are limited choices in the area but this experience left a negative impression on me. read more
