This is the only place in town that actually sells chemex and hairo v60 filters! They're breakfast is awesome, I recommend the quiche or "make-your-own" breakfast sandwhich(s). If you're looking for sweet, sugary, delicious espresso based drinks this is the place to go. However, if you're looking for a good cup of hand crafted coffee this isn't the place for it. They do offer aeropress, hairo v60 pour overs, and also a Chemex of any of their sugary unnatural flavored beans. They also offer a very disappointedly slim selection of single-origin beans to choose from. Most of their single-origin coffees are from intelligentsia as well, which stinks. I would love for this place to grow in this area because everything else is great. The place is huge and always busy. My wife and I do enjoy coming here. I would still say it's the best place in town for coffee. They're the only place in town that doesn't take them selves super serious like its counter culture counterparts. read more

So I was with a coworker and we were early for a meeting and we decided to find a coffee shop close to where the meeting was. What a pleasant surprise! Very comfortable space set up with regular tables and chairs but also with couches and coffee tables. There's a meeting room for people to use, too. Friendly service - I like when even little things are explained so it was nice that we got a good description of what we ordered, and in particular the kinds of tea the shop has. I'm normally a dark roast/ 4 splenda/ skim milk kind of girl but I decided to try the cappucino chip. Super tasty and no burned aftertaste, which I find happens sometimes. This is the kind of place there should be more of. If I lived in the area, it's the kind of place that I would be in on a daily basis. 1st time here and I'll be back. Wasn't sure what to order at first with the 3 full size menu's offering food, coffee and espresso drinks. I should have tried just a black coffee to see how it stacked up to others but I was in the mood for a little extra. We ordered the Salted Carmel latte and Carmel Macchiato both were great but tasted like the same exact drink. We ordered a muffin too which was as good as a muffin can get, pretty sure they don't make the here. Really enjoy this spot. The staff is friendly, coffee is good, and they have gluten-free foods/snacks. I go there to work for a few hours when I need a change of scenery. And there are always people conducting meetings or chatting. Very nice atmosphere. The only small detractor is that it has that coffee shop smell (which is not the same as a coffee smell). So so coffee... First thing I have to say, I waited a total of about 15 mins to place my order and finally get it. Not a huge fan of that at all... I am from out of town, so when I saw on Yelp that this was the only place that did pour overs, I came here. I was surprised that all their coffee was just flavored coffee beans. First time visiting because this place was highly recommended by a friend. It definitely lived up to the expectation. You walk in and see a mix of high top chairs, lounge chairs, sofas, and a small bar area to the left of where you order. The atmosphere is very clean and welcoming, like you're in a family room of a home. However the service and quality of coffee and food was great considering it was fairly busy for a Friday morning. The cold brew on nitro was fresh and had a flavor better than most chain coffee shops and the bagel sandwich was made to order which took a little longer but worth the wait. Unfortunately I live on the opposite side of town so I probably won't be here often. I tried a caramel frappe without whipped cream and it was delicious. Such a good flavor. I didn't have to wait too terribly long and the staff was friendly. The inside is huge with lots of seating and even a meeting room. There was also an area for live music. It was eerily quiet inside, no music playing or anything. I didn't try any food. They have gluten free and paleo options, sandwiches, breakfast, and snacks. Worst coffee ever. I just moved to fort Wayne and being one who likes a lattes almost every morning, coffee is important to me. I really am missing Peets in MB but i fund the mocha lounge right away. I was excited to try it out immediately since fort wayne doesnt have a lot of coffee houses and this one is really close to me. I saw that they had a drive through so I used that. Good concept, but the menu board is not complete with prices for everything. I had to get help ordering the latte, since menu had several drinks and no prices accompanying them. I wasnt sure if they were drink or shots. I also ordered a bagel sandwich and a peppermint mocha latte. It took awhile which is understandable as I ordered two made-to-order items. I paid. Then items came out a few moments later. The server didn't come back until I buzzed her. When she came back, I asked where my receipt was. She replied in a defensive manner that i hadn't asked asked for it. .??? Do I have to ask for my receipt everywhere in this new town? When she brought it to me, it was the wrong one. I buzzed her again. Eventually, I got it and drove off. I was a little annoyed, but exited to have my bagel sandwich and latte. The bagel sandwich was okay - nothing to write home about. The bread was dry. So I was looking forward to sipping some coffee to offset that. To my surprise, it was the worst latte I have ever had. I tried several times to drink it and after a few hours, I just had to throw it out. I consider the Mcdonalds latte yummy compared to this stuff. When I got back to my brothers and his wife's home, I told them of my experience. He agreed with me. He and his wife are everyday coffee drinker and he won't go to mocha lounge. He lived .5 miles away, but instead, he drives 3.5 miles away to Starbucks. Usually, I give questionable places a second try, but the coffee and the service was so bad, it's like wanting to go back to a place you got food poisoning from....you just can't do it. read more

Hands down the best coffee in town but it's not just about the drinks. The food is great too! My favorite is the paleo bar and my husband's is the meat lovers quiche. I love the atmosphere as well. It's a great place to meet friends, to read or to study. We've also used their coffee to cater showers and even our wedding. A big supporter of locally owned businesses, I love Mocha Lounge's vibe. You feel welcome immediately. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It's kind of the cheers of coffee shops; if you're a regular, everyone knows your name. I also appreciate their selection of gluten-free pastries and lunch items. They also have an impressive meeting room space, available for rent for a nominal fee. If you're on the go, I recommend their drive-thru. The only complaint I have is that parking can sometimes be dicey. This place is really happenin' at certain times of day, so plan accordingly. read more

I come here more for the atmosphere than the coffee. In fact, I've been here on a regular basis over the past 6 months and can't ever remember ordering coffee. I usually get tea to sit and sip. Sit and sip is what this place makes me want to do. It is a busy spot but the decor is soothing and there is plenty of comfortable seating spots both as tables and chairs and deep cushioned couches and armchairs. They even have a "Mommy room" and although I don't have children, I appreciate that there is a corral with a door where mommies can take their little ones. They do have a good selection of coffee and tea as well as cold drinks. There are baked goodies (nothing special). This one definitely falls under the "cozy place to study" category and there is Free WiFi available. Forget to bring your laptop? They have two public computers for your use. Forget to bring something to read? They have a lending bookshelf for you to share. The staff is always friendly and helpful and does a good job of keeping things neat and clean. If I could have one wish for an improvement, I'd love to see them offer their hot drinks in real cafe' mugs. I realize this would require dish washing, but when you have a piping hot drink in a paper cup... it just isn't the same for sipping. For now, I'll bring my own mug. There is no other coffee shop like the mocha lounge. For the most unique coffee experience in Fort Wayne this is the place to be. The "lounge" area is just that, plenty of sofas and comfortable chairs in a spacious room. There are some bars and traditional tables for the work meetings or studying. The coffee is great, they are currently the only shop in Fort Wayne with nitro cold brew. They also have a wide variety of loose leaf teas, however i have not had any of those. The staff is super friendly and they have really great food options for people of all dietary needs. read more

This place is just ok. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I have ordered an iced chai from them on three separate occasions. The first time it tasted fine, but then the other two it tasted extremely chalky. Whatever chai mix they use does not dissolve into the milk and it leaves a terrible after-taste in my mouth. Recently, I visited a local coffee shop in Fort Wayne called The Mocha Lounge. I expected it to be a lot like Starbucks but once I walked in, I was taken back by the open environment and welcoming faces. There was a lot to choose from when it came to looking at the menu and reasonable prices, which is the complete opposite at Starbucks. There are several tables and chairs, along with couches, for customers to sit and study, chat, or listen to music in a warm environment. The staff was absolutely excellent. They were very patient with me, considering I had never been there, gave me suggestions, were polite, and seemed like they really enjoyed working there. There is a variety of food to choose, from a bagel with cream cheese to some organic oatmeal that is a big hit at the Mocha Lounge. Along with good coffee, it's in a great location for people to stop in and grab a quick cup of coffee. The Mocha Lounge is also a laid back environment. The staff does not have a uniform, which to me makes it seem more "homey". When I visited, there were many moms along with their little ones. In the back of the coffee shop, there is a kid's room with a TV that plays kid friendly shows, toys, crayons, coloring books, and bright colors so the kids can stay entertained while the moms enjoy some times sipping their coffee. The coffee is absolutely delicious. There are many different flavors, temperatures, and sizes to choose from. I got the Snickers mocha (frozen) and it was marvelous. It was cold, considering it was frozen, and it was topped with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. My friend had one of the Mocha Lounge's signature iced coffees, and although simple, it was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed that the owners of the coffee shop were in the back working and helping with certain orders, which isn't normal for many businesses. The staff made small talk with the customers while making the drinks that they ordered. I would suggest the Mocha Lounge to anyone who is looking for a good coffee drink, a welcoming environment, smiling faces, and a great experience. I am used to being rushed when going in to many other coffee shops but the staff was patient and helped me through my decision-making. Because they were so patient, my experience there became much better. Mocha Lounge has great drinks and various food products. The list of drinks that could be ordered are specifically categorized according to the type of drink and hung up high enough so everyone can see it. Also, they have a different menu for the pastries and food items that they sell so that it is easily recognizable. The cash register is filled different cookies the size of your head, cake pops, and various desserts. The presentation of everything makes you want it more! The workers are more than welcoming. Since it is a smaller coffee shop, the cashier is almost always empty and they will talk to you while ordering. The more questions you ask them about the coffee, most of the cashiers will help you find something you like. Most of the baristas would be considered "hipsters" in today's society and dress in a casual way, without a uniform. Once the customer has ordered their drink, they will bring it out to them where ever they are sitting so that they do not have to wait for it to be made. The professionalism given off from the workers isn't high because it is more of a relaxed and less professional place. All the workers have seemed to have a connection with each other, as I have seen them helping each other with homework and talking about their weekend plans. The owner of Mocha Lounge has always been willing to talk to the customers. It is locally owned by a young couple with a little boy. Both the male and female have approached me to ask how my day was and if there was anything they can get me. Their little boy is always funny to watch him run around and smile at the different people who walk into the door. He will play in their backroom with a bunch of toys and gives their lobby a child friendly area. The owners are also very generous to their employees and will always be laughing with them when they are around. I have been to Mocha Lounge multiple times and the service never changes. They will switch their furniture up to keep giving the place a new feel. I will be there for hours doing homework without any distractions and feeling completely comfortable. They have a range of chairs, couches, and stools to sit at and tables. When it is warm outside, they will have three or four tables to sit outside and enjoy the night weather. One of the walls is completely windows to enjoy the natural look of the building. The room is always lite up well but it is dimmed enough not to give their customers headaches from the awfully bright light. The smoothing colors of burgundy, brown, black, and tan also help create a relaxed feeling in the building, which some feel like is what feels so welcoming. For connivance, they even have a drive thru that is hardly busy and gets the customers through fast. Overall, Mocha Lounge is a welcoming and relaxing coffee shop. They have a wide range of coffee choices for non-coffee lovers and the caffeine addicts. The environment is warm and will fit the customers comfort. The baristas seem to love their job and love the others around them. The owners are always fun to be around and are involved in their shop as much as they can. The actual room is designed to best provide for their customers with the lights, windows, drive thru, and colors picked for the shop. I would highly recommend it to a friend. read more
