I had three different pieces of donut and a taro boba. From the taste and feeling, I think they use powder for the taro drink, with no natural taro ingredients. Making it not different from many other general stores that offer this menu. The boba was made right and of good texture and quality. For the donut texture, it is more chewy and more mochi-like than regular donut. But, I was expecting more chewy texture like the large mochi round bun that my friend bought for me.

Super yummy mochi donut's here! And made to order which I loved! The service was great and they did awesome with making my order exactly what I wanted! The store is small but cute and is definitely somewhere you can take tons of insta photos! They also sell lots of different drinks (which I didn't try) but looked delicious as I saw other customers purchasing them! I drove from Fullerton just to try this place out and it was definitely worth the drive!

Everything about this mochi dough spot screams Amazing from the decor and aesthetics to the friendly customer service from staff . Such a cute spot .. for refreshments and specialty mochi dough nuts .. I ended with half a dozen ..which was taro, s'mores, cookies and cream , fruity pebble , strawberry glaze and matcha green .. it was so fresh and so good absolutely perfect !! If you are in the area definitely hit up this spot !!! It's in the same small plaza as bcd tofu house ..

Came in to grab some donuts and ice tea. They have a variety of flavors and great selections on drinks. Excellent customer service. Highly recommended!

We visited Bober Tea & Coffee in Garden Grove to try their mochi dough and drinks, and here's our honest, family-style breakdown from L, J, and M. Mochi Dough Review: Top Flavors: * Strawberry - 9/10 Tastes just like Pocky--light, sweet, and nostalgic. Easily the favorite across the board. * Oreo - 9 (L), 8 (J) Great balance of chocolate and crunch. * Matcha - 10, 8.5 Rich matcha flavor with depth. For matcha lovers, it hits the spot. Other Notes: * Ube Taro - 9 (L), 8.5 (J), but lost points (M) 7.5 for being more crispy than chewy. * Mango - L (8), J (7), M (5). Lacked sweetness, rice crispy topping tasted stale. * Glaze - Mixed scores ranging from 5 to 8.5. Simple, but inconsistent. * Brown Sugar - Overly sweet. Brown sugar overpowers the mochi entirely. Drink Review: * Cookie & Cream Brown Sugar Milk Tea - 9.5 Tasty, but could use more Oreo. Boba: 8/10. * Brown Sugar Milk Tea - 7.5 Just too sweet, boba was okay. * Cookie Butter Latte Smoothie (with almond milk) - Not super sweet, which we liked. Boba was a little too hard. Almond milk upcharge was $0.90--felt overpriced. Vibe & Atmosphere: * Cleanliness: Spotless and well-kept. * Aesthetic: Bright, modern, and Insta-friendly. Definitely a cute café for hangouts or content. * Overall Atmosphere: Relaxed and inviting. Final Thoughts: While the presentation is beautiful and the space is super aesthetic, the mochi dough was hit or miss in flavor and texture. Drinks were decent, with the cookie & cream milk tea standing out. Would probably only return for the strawberry mochi donut and to take pictures. Final Rating: 4/5 stars Fun to try, but not a must-have unless you're nearby or craving a Pocky-inspired donut with a cute backdrop.

We got here a little too late so we couldn't order any doughnuts. But. The drinks were great! We got jasmine milk tea and brown sugar. The teabrick cups are super cute but I fell in love with the hello kitty surprise cups!!!! I totally got upsold and it was worth it lol. At first I thought the suprise cups were just a gimmick bc the drinks would suck, but no. I liked my drink and my husband really likes his. Definitely reccomed. Next time I'll try to come earlier so I can try a doughnut.

My boyfriend surprised me with one of these randomly on Tuesday. Super yummy- wasn't super sweet and the creme brûlée added just the bit of sweetness it needed. Only complain is I wish it had less ice and for the boba to be softer, I'm not sure if the ice made the boba get a bit hard or overcooked. The one drink cost my boyfriend $10

Came here on a Wednesday around 12:30 it was pretty busy. Parking lot small so had to park at other plaza and walk. Two tables to sit so more of a to go place. Service was friendly. Got the roasted oolong milk tea and classic milk tea with boba and suprise cup. The size was big but both were superrr sweet so recommended getting it less sweet. As well as a three box mochi donuts (cookies and cream & strawberry). Again super sweet and the strawberry flavor was not good. Overall, good for a one time based on taste to price.

It's very cute and aesthetically pleasing. The dough is crispier than other mochi donuts I've had. They have a lot of flavor to choose from. They have two self-ordering kiosks and service was good.

I've had my fair share of mochi donuts and Mochi Dough did not disappoint. When I came they had about 6 different flavors on display. I asked if they had an oreo one because I didn't see it out and they said they had it hiding in the back. I went with that. I like that you can order donuts individually here and you're not forced to buy a pack of 3 or more like other mochi donut spots. My mochi donut was good but definitely on the more very sweet side. I enjoyed it. The store itself is very girlie and cute with their pink floral wall and pink horse. I just wish they had a place to sit because there is not chairs, tables or bench. It's more of a grab and go type of spot. The staff is nice though. I can see myself coming back to grab some.

The store looks new on the inside. Super cute and very clean. Friendly service. Pricing is higher than most other tea stores but my drink tasted good. I had the mungbean pandan drink. With boba added, tax and a small tip, came out to about $9. Note, boba not included so you have to pay extra if you want them. I will be back soon to try the mochi doughnut.

Stellar service, the lady at the register is super friendly and sweet. Review is for the mochi donuts only!!! They are all very delicious, I really like the churro one, it's so satisfying and not too sweet. Awesome to bring to parties esp if there are people that have a gluten allergy, as the donuts are mostly gluten free!! Yay! The inside of the store is so fun and whimsical. Definitely fun summer Cali vibes.

    1. The donuts were fluffy! The ten yen coin had a nice cheesy filling! 2. The spot has fun cute aesthetics! 3. The staff were extremely friendly, and they made sure I had a good first time experience! 4. Parking is limited in this shared lot, but there is plenty of parking in the back! Note: They had a complimentary tea and water station! They are aiming to have coffee soon! Photo: Mochi Donuts and Ten Yen Coin

However, this morning I wanted to surprise my daughter with donuts before work and this was the closest spot. The Asian woman at the front took my order and was very rude. I initially wanted hot chocolate then immediately said never mind I'll get the iced frappe and she she acted like it was the worst thing for me to do. I ignored that and she handed me my donut and what I thought was my 2 sandwiches. I noticed a young man also working and I went next door to pull money out so I can tip him for how hard working he is. I come back into donut boss and the woman is screaming at me that I stole someone's donuts! I look in my bag and see my donut with 2 other donuts. The man told me that he didn't understand why she was screaming because it was just a misunderstanding. She told me that my stuff was stilll being made and to wait my turn, excuse me? You handed me the bag with his donuts in it!! I'm so upset at this point after she humiliated me in front of a place full of people. I'm waiting for my frappes and she hands me my stuff and I ask where was my second donut ( I initially ordered two but the bag only had one). She said she only charged me for one, I told her to make sure since she's making so much mistakes (no apology to me btw). I can tell as she's looking at my receipt that she did make a mistake, but says no she didn't (upon further inspection I realize she actually charged me for less then I owed!) Anyway, before I left I did ask the young man if he keeps all his tips that people give him and he said yes, and so I tipped him and thanked him for all his hard work and kindness. I will never come back to this establishment again. People like her give businesses a bad name. Got my order wrong, charged me wrong, and called me a thief. I could have made a scene but chose kindness instead. I suggest she learn to do the same. This place is pretty run down and dirty. However, I did appreciate the food tasting great and so did our drinks. For the expensive price, I would hope so.
