We got here a little too late so we couldn't order any doughnuts. But. The drinks were great! We got jasmine milk tea and brown sugar. The teabrick cups are super cute but I fell in love with the hello kitty surprise cups!!!! I totally got upsold and it was worth it lol. At first I thought the suprise cups were just a gimmick bc the drinks would suck, but no. I liked my drink and my husband really likes his. Definitely reccomed. My boyfriend surprised me with one of these randomly on Tuesday. Super yummy- wasn't super sweet and the creme brûlée added just the bit of sweetness it needed. I've had my fair share of mochi donuts and Mochi Dough did not disappoint. When I came they had about 6 different flavors on display. I asked if they had an oreo one because I didn't see it out and they said they had it hiding in the back. I went with that. I like that you can order donuts individually here and you're not forced to buy a pack of 3 or more like other mochi donut spots. My mochi donut was good but definitely on the more very sweet side. I enjoyed it. The store itself is very girlie and cute with their pink floral wall and pink horse. I just wish they had a place to sit because there is not chairs, tables or bench. The store looks new on the inside. Super cute and very clean. Friendly service. Pricing is higher than most other tea stores but my drink tasted good. I had the mungbean pandan drink. I've tried a lot of mochi doughnuts, & Mochi Dough is still the best by far! Every bite is perfectly chewy & delicious, I finish them so quickly! Not too sweet, & the frostings are yummy & not too sweet or artificial tasting, except for some of the toppings (I could do without the sprinkles & other edible toppings). I know some people might like them because they're pretty, but to me it's just extra sugar & not necessary. Definitely get at least a few, trust me, you'll be sad if you only get one when you realise it's gone in like a minute! They have a pretty good selection of flavors, & i love the matcha (actually a good quality tasting matcha flavor), strawberry, sesame, & taro although i think the taro could be better if it was more of a real taro taste. Some flavors I wish they had are blueberry & guava. I do wish they were a little cheaper, as they are quite pricey for donuts at $3.75 each & it's my favorite dessert to take for a party. We were craving mochi donuts and were delighted to find this cute spot while in the Garden Grove area! Parking options are limited as it is in a strip mall with other eateries and businesses. Luckily we were able to find a spot right away. The inside has a bright floral feel with aesthetic decor. You immediately see the display of mochi donuts which fits the vibe. Unlike competing spots with rather plain-looking mochi donuts, the ones here are neatly decorated and can serve as decorations themselves; they were almost too pretty to eat! They also offer 10 yen coin bread. This popular snack from Japan is hard to come by out here so it's nice to have a place that makes them. They are basically crispy waffles filled with mozzarella cheese. Truly a satisfying savory snack! What I appreciate about this place is that they make their donuts fresh throughout the day. This place is the cutest cafe decor I have seen, all in PINK flowers and decor you could take a bunch of little girls here and they would love it! There's even a pink horse they can sit on to take a picture with a pretty backdrop!! Mochi donuts are lighter than Korean Mochi donuts but this place makes theirs absolutely delicious! It is more of a mochi donut and Vietnamese coffee place where you can sit down there, relax and enjoy a variety of yummy flavors, more than other mochi places. Consistency was nice, but somehow the flavor tasted like the shop smelled (like Ding Tea/ kind of like cleaner). The donut labeled "churro" flavor was super cute with orange frosting and fun Halloween sprinkles, but it didn't really taste like churro to us. The funnel cake donut with sugar on the outside had a nice crunch but tasted more like churro to us. The matcha had a nice strong matcha flavor. Cookies and cream--hard to go wrong--was good. Shop owner was super nice and patient with donut choices and insisted we take some Costco green tea on the house. This place is so cute! I loved the inside, the fun lights and flower wall was just as much a treat as the donuts were. The ladies working behind the counter were kind and had a smile on for every customer that came in. They were quick with our order and, when she saw I had my children with me, she let us know that one of the donuts (cafe mocha was it?) had a coffee drizzle with a little bit of caffeine in it. It was a small but very appreciated bit of information! I really loved that she let us know that ahead of time. Now on to the main event, we've lived all over the west coast CA to WA and everywhere in between and these are the best mochi donuts we've ever had. The only reason im giving 3 stars is because I thought the boba was the only worthwhile thing about this spot. The mochi doughnut itself wasn't anything special. I found the mochi doughnuts to be kind of hard and not soft like I would expect out of a normal doughnut (and ive had mochi doughnuts before in Irvine). This place seems catered to influencers given the wall decor and vibe. I also found the seating to be impratical and uncomfortable, it was a tiny low ottoman table with tiny low stools and I'm a short person.
