We wanted to preserve our Hello Kitty cups, so we pulled our surprise from the cup by removing the drink on top. I ordered the honey lemon green tea (unsweetened since it already had honey) and liked my refreshing drink. My friend ordered a taro drink and didn't really care for hers since taro powder was used instead of fresh taro paste. The mochi donuts were really beautifully decorated and tasted incredibly yummy! We got a 3 pack mochi donut which was cookies and cream and match. These donuts were the truth. Very soft, crunchy texture, and warm. It was not too sweet or too bland but just right. I had three different pieces of donut and a taro boba. From the taste and feeling, I think they use powder for the taro drink, with no natural taro ingredients. Making it not different from many other general stores that offer this menu. The boba was made right and of good texture and quality. I've had my fair share of mochi donuts and Mochi Dough did not disappoint. When I came they had about 6 different flavors on display. I asked if they had an oreo one because I didn't see it out and they said they had it hiding in the back. I went with that. I like that you can order donuts individually here and you're not forced to buy a pack of 3 or more like other mochi donut spots. My mochi donut was good but definitely on the more very sweet side. I've tried a lot of mochi doughnuts, & Mochi Dough is still the best by far! Every bite is perfectly chewy & delicious, I finish them so quickly! Not too sweet, & the frostings are yummy & not too sweet or artificial tasting, except for some of the toppings (I could do without the sprinkles & other edible toppings). I know some people might like them because they're pretty, but to me it's just extra sugar & not necessary. Definitely get at least a few, trust me, you'll be sad if you only get one when you realise it's gone in like a minute! They have a pretty good selection of flavors, & i love the matcha (actually a good quality tasting matcha flavor), strawberry, sesame, & taro although i think the taro could be better if it was more of a real taro taste.
