There was no unsweetened ice tea, no knives to cut the pizza, my pizza was burnt and the person that was removing the pizzas from the oven blew his nose and didn't bother to step off the line and wash his hands. I went in on a Friday on January and it took 15 minutes to just get a salad. There was no lettuce on the line and there were other salad ingredients that the line prep staff had to go chase down while preparing my salad. My husband and I went to Mod Pizza for dinner last night. There were only a few customers in the lobby, maybe four. There were two employees working, that I could see. A young lady was sweeping the floor beside us and a young man was standing behind the counter working on something. At no point does anyone speak to us, so we wait.... And we wait. The gentlemen starts to put on a pair of gloves, very, very slowly, I might add, and grabs a ball of dough out of the box. He goes over to the machine and is standing there. Again nothing said to us. I finally tell my husband that I don't think they want us to order because he seems bothered, let's leave and go elsewhere. No one tried to stop us, no one spoke. So I asked my husband to back in and ask for the manager's name and he told my husband that he we was the manager, his name was Rayquan, and what was the problem? My husband told him that we stood there for several minutes and no one spoke to us. He told my husband that he was in the middle of something and we were looking at the menu board. No problem. This restaurant has the prime location and is a newer building in great shape, they should be doing great business, but it's not going to happen with this lack of customer service. This was our second visit to this location and also our 2nd time experiencing MOD altogether. I have to say, our previous visit almost 2 years ago was the reason it's been almost 2 years. However, we can't recall what it was about that experience, so we gave it another try. We're really glad we did too. So the website said they were open for carryout, curbside & delivery. As we were sitting in the parking lot finishing our online order we noted several families entering. We checked it out & were happy to see that we misread the website or it hadn't been updated yet. I love Mods pizza. Its a nice cozy pizza joint. Nice background music, not too noisy and good seating. I ordered a Mod's create your own pizza with Chicken, pineapple, feta cheese, canadian bacon and oregano. I love this place because you can get any topping on your choosen size of pizza. No judement zone. They will put whatever you want and a decent amount. It is then fire grilled to perfection. I finish mine off by asking for a balsamic glaze. 3.5 stars TL;DR: Service was super friendly. Flavors on point, but could possibly not be filling for some people. This is another one of those fast casual dining restaurants, that is Chipotle style, where you start with the crust and add on what you'd like. We came here around 8PM on a Monday night. It was pretty dead inside, but the service was very welcoming and friendly. I have been to a different location before, but it was my boyfriend's first time. The staff was more than happy to explain how everything worked. My boyfriend opted to do the make your own pizza, and just added whatever he was in the mood for at the time. I got a mini Jasper (red sauce, cheese, sausage and mushrooms), and added a few things. The garlic that you could add toward the beginning of the line was so good. The crust is thin but not too crispy, and had very good flavor. They have so many different toppings it's so hard to choose. I also got a mini Caesar salad. I don't think it's really worth it as it is the same price as a mini pizza, but a very small portion. About half of the lettuce was browning, but it was the end of the night so I get it. But about half of the salad was just croutons. It tasted good, but I just don't think I would get it again. At the end of our meal, I was full enough, however my boyfriend was still very hungry. So depending on your appetite at the time, it might not fill you up all the way (this varies per person though). read more

Decided to give this place a try and overall I was not disappointed. 1) Place was vean and welcoming. 2) People taking my order were friendly and attentive. The order process was easy. 3) My Pizza look and tasted great! Though, as was on my last slice it started to taste gummy. 4) Beer was fresh and tasted good. My small pizza had four slices. The first three were awesome while they were hot. The last slice not so great when it cooled down. That's when it started to feel gummy. Overall i recommend this place to all. I had higher hopes on the pizza here. But I was let down. Spiciest sauce on the pizza I've ever had. Might as well just use buffalo sauce. The pizza was flimsy and very bland. The food was fine, probably a bit worse than Blaze, and it was so incredibly dirty. Grime everywhere. I'm not talking mess on the tables, I'm talking what looked like months or years of congealed grime everywhere. Straw bins, drink signs, flat surfaces, the floor. I was so grossed out by the front of the store, especially the drink station, that I was afraid to eat my food. If it was this bad up front, during COVID, how bad is it in the kitchen? I stopped by here on a weekday afternoon for a quick bite. I've had mod pizza in a different state before and have always had a good experience. I enjoy the topping options they have and they have really friendly service. My pizza turned out great, and I enjoy their beverages as well. Please have more people helping customers behind the counter. For a place the prepares food to order, you should have more than one person creating the customer's orders. I was there during the lunch hour and the line was moving excruciatingly slow with only one person making the food. A separate person appeared be making online orders only. Perhaps you were short staffed, but I feel like the online order guy or the manager could have stepped in for a few minutes and helped when your line was backed up and people needed to get back to work from their lunch breaks. read more

Terrible experience. Disgusting soup of a pizza with ingredients I didn't order. Then I called and they sent me back and forth between the restaurant and the call center and no one would take responsibility tonight and send me a new pizza. I spent 5 hours moving into a new apartment today and now I have no food because of people who refused to assist someone. Best part of the pizza is basically the box. First pizza was undercooked. Second pizza was a cinder on one side, because they didn't turn it. The third and final remake had ingredients I didn't ask for and was cut so haphazardly that a "slice" was an entire quarter of the pie, where others were odd angles. We've been going here for several years now, and really liked the pizza. Until now. This restaurant has gone downhill in the last few years and is absolutely filthy. Sneeze guard coated with food. Ingredients mixed together. Pizza oven hasn't been cleaned in eons and pizza comes out burned. Drink fountain is nasty as are the tables. Don't get me started on the walls smeared with food or the rest rooms. There is a definite shortage of personnel and they are friendly, not trained well, but friendly and trying. This place needs to be shut down for a good old fashion field day, get those mops and cleaning aids ready. We won't go back until it has been shut down and cleaned. Excellent job for this place so far. Again I am thrilled there's another new restaurant here on the southside. This place was well prepared for being new and open with their staff coverage. It's quite simple here you pay for the size pizza you want and the toppings are unlimited. The line was tremendously huge when I showed up here, but they have an awesome size pizza oven and can easily coverage large volume of people. The toppings they provide on their pizzas are larger then you would get at at Subway getting toppings on your sub sandwich. This was only day two of this place being open and they had everything together. I was very impressed it only took about seven minutes for them to make my pizza. The sauce is good, the crust is good, the price is right, I will give them a shot again. Next time I will take my kids I think they will love it. read more

I've been coming to this MOD since they first opened. After the last 2 times I've been here I'm not sure I'll be coming back. The first time my pizza was BURNT and I couldn't even eat it because all I could taste was char. I gave it about a month and decided to give it another shot. I cannot rave enough about Mod Pizza! The pizza is absolutely addicting! The best I have EVER had! But even better than the pizza are the people! The employees at Mod are the most incredible young people I have ever encountered in a restaurant or business. Each and every employee has a wonderful attitude and is so friendly. EVERY SINGLE TIME I WALK IN THE DOOR almost every employee calls me out by name and tells me hello! They truly make me feel welcome and appreciated. I don't know who does the hiring but I would love to know how they seem to find and pick such winners! I've also noticed that employees seem to last a long time which tells me something about how the management treats their employees! For about a year now I have eaten there at least three times a week! That's how good it is! And not once has my order been wrong or taken too long. I hear so much good about Chick Filet and how wonderful they are and how much they appreciate our business and I believe that to be true. But they have NOTHING on MOD PIZZA! Along with microbreweries, donut/pastry spots, and fast-casual Mediterranean spots, it seems like fast-fired pizza is the newest oversaturated market craze. MOD was honestly a bit underwhelming. The pizza was a bit more doughy than I would've liked and is one of the more expensive personal pizzas I've had. The ingredients weren't anything to write home about either, and nothing from this place really wowed me. For what it's worth, I think Blaze is better.
