    Spaghetti with garlic marinara
    Jen S.

This has become a yearly meet up place to see a college friend. Always a pleasure to come here! It's a busy and popular spot in Brandermille. Worth the wait. Even though it's always busy, service is great. This year we got : Friend : choose your own pasta : garlic marinara and spaghetti- a favorite of hers (she lives in area) Hub: Stromboli Classico. He was very pleased with his choice. He said it was a great balance / mix of ingredients and the crust and cheese were very flavorful. 2 hours later as I write this review he says "That was GOOD Stromboli!" It's definitely large so you may be able to split with someone. Or don't. Hog it for yourself and bring home leftovers. Moi (the stomachless elite yelper) I got a mini pizza with cheese , artichokes, black olives , drizzled with hot honey. F. A. N. T. A. S. T. I. C. It killed my reactive hypoglycemia (new record for the month -- 342 spike and dropped to 54) but sooo worth it. I'm alive and yelping so there's that. Delicious cheese and fresh toppings. Crust was perfect! The hot honey made it mouthwateringly amazeballz and I'm looking forward to a repeat tomorrow when I have my leftovers. If you live in this area you are very lucky. Next year I'm gonna try a sub/ hoagie. Side note to those who are gluten free: My sister has celiac disease and says their gluten free pizzas are delicious.

Detroit Trio Pepperoni. What an awesome pie.

I am really struggling with where the best pizza is. Just when I thought I found the pizza Mecca, I discover a new one. The Detroit trio pepperoni pizza is incredible. Three different type of pepperoni and fresh basil. It was so good that we will make it a stop anytime we go south. Service was fast and friendly in a really clean environment.

I've had sergio's so may times, a few misses but usually a hit on there part. We especially like the mango habanero wings (one time they came w all flats which was not requested) and most recently I had a salad that had a bug living in the lettuce. The salad sat in the fridge overnight & the bug still managed to live through that also. Other than those 2 scenarios they are usually good. Our faves -mango habanero wings -philly cheesesteak -chicken philly -turkey club (but wish they would switch to a softer bread If you are visiting in person they do get busy but usually can accommodate, and the parking lot is crowded & tight. Staff is typically friendly & quick w meals

We always have a great experience with Sergio's. They tend to get busy so if you are dining in there can sometimes be a wait. The staff is always friendly and have great service. I haven't had a meal here I didn't like. We really enjoy the pizzas. Not everyone does a white pizza. There's is great. It is nice that pizza comes in multiple sizes. Definitely try the Detroit style when you get a chance. We will get meals to go often. I really enjoy how the dinners come with a salad in the side as well as great garlic rolls. One meal may be plenty to feed 2 people and at a great price.

How did we end up here? TikTok lol Saw a few reviews and had to check them out. The deep dish Detroit style pizza was 10000/10! It was so delicious! The toppings we chose then the fresh basil on top is worth the trip alone. I didn't care for the regular pizza too much... But the wings were delicious also. I didn't care for the fried ravioli but those minor things were just personal preference. I would def go back again.

Great spot for pizza. I ordered a classic pepperoni pizza, a sweet tea, and one of their specialty milkshakes: Death by Chocolate. It definitely lived up to the name. Total chocolate overload in the best way. If you love chocolate, you'll be into it. The pepperoni pizza was good. The dough was cooked just right, not underdone and not too tough either. Service was friendly and attentive. I'd come back here (:

Great Pizza Spot, got their Mama Mia pizza ( meatballs, ricotta and basil on a pan crust) to go and it was absolutely delicious. It was drizzled with a little hot honey which really elevated the pizza in a way that I haven't experienced. I am a huge fan of pan pizza but find that sometimes the thick crust can be a bit doughy. That was not the case here it had a nice even crunch and softness that one would expect from a pan. Parking was easy as they have a clear designated to go parking spot for people picking up which is nice. The servers were really kind and my food was ready to pick up in the time estimated. I got a side of ranch and vodka sauce for dipping and would definitely reccomend the vodka sauce if you enjoy your pizza extra saucy. The portions were huge and I was able to feed 2 people with enough left overs for the next day. The speciality pizzas can't be customized (you can only remove toppings but not add any) but they were very generous with the toppings, each of my bites had a bit of everything. Would definitely reccomend for groups or for a family dinner due to the portions being such a good amount.

After seeing a video on social media, I knew I had to come try this place out! I did a pick up order via their website on a Friday night. I did arrive at the restaurant a little bit before my pick up time and it was pretty busy. However, the restaurant looks spacious and I did see that they have a whole bar as well as desserts near the pick up window. While waiting for my food, I was able to sit down at the bench that they use for awaiting parties (def good for groups). We ordered the Renzo special pizza, mozzarella logs, and spinach & artichoke dip. Everything was perfectly hot once I arrived home. The pizza was amazing. I don't think I've ever had a pizza with vodka sauce and I love vodka sauce pasta. I am a sausage girl ... it's my favorite pizza topping and when I tell you, the sausage alone has me ready to go back there to try something else. Also, my fiancé and I shared this pizza and we still had seconds the next day and the pizza reheated very well in the oven .The mozzarella logs were huge and very tasty. And I did love that the Spanish artichoke dip was topped with bacon. I don't think I'd ever had that combination, but it made for a good one. I will say the dip is served with a bread so if you're worried about eating a lot of bread, then maybe opt for another appetizer, but we had chips at home and it was perfect. All in all ease of ordering, Customer Service, value, and for sure food will have me visiting Sergio's again!

Genuine welcome on a busy Saturday evening. The staff advised us of a wait so we went to the bar until our table was ready. We were seated sooner than what was estimated and all staff members were friendly. Beer selection is great with a little something for everyone. The same can be said for the food menu. I had the chopped wedge salad and a 10" pizza. Both were as advertised. I liked the standard crust on the pizza but may have to try another style next time.

Do they have a buffet, and if so - are the buffet hours different than normal operation hours?

No they do not have a buffet.

Why don't you list your Detroit style pizza.?

If you follow them on Facebook it talks about the Detroit Style pizza. The last I read it said they only prep so many each morning and when they sell out they are done for the day. I think it is a bit of a longer process to prep them.

    Does Sergio’s serve mixed drinks?

Yes, full bar when you walk in!

Does this location have a outside dining area? can you bring a dog?

Actually the patio is non smoking and sadly no dogs because it's so small.

Overall, the dinner itself went smoothly, and our families enjoyed celebrating the players and coaches together. Unfortunately, the customer experience with ownership during the planning process and event was disappointing. While I completely understand minimum requirements for reserving private event space, there was repeated emphasis and concern surrounding the spending minimum throughout the coordination process and even during the event itself. Instead of feeling welcomed and appreciated as a large community group supporting a local business, the interaction often felt centered more around financial concern than hospitality. There was also confusion and unnecessary stress surrounding simple accommodations, such as pizza options for small children and menu flexibility questions. Additionally, rather than proactively communicating where we stood relative to the minimum during the evening, the remaining balance was not discussed until checkout, resulting in an out-of-pocket charge at the end of the event. Understanding the possibility of having to pay the difference was discussed during planning and I was reminded of this upon arrival, it still would have been kind to provide a heads up with regards to where the group stood vs waiting until the very end. Maybe even providing an option for the group to still have an opportunity to purchase more items. I truly appreciated the servers and the quality of the food, but the overall experience with management unfortunately took away from what should have been a celebratory and enjoyable evening for our team families.

We entered and were greeted with " do you have a reservation" in a very un-inviting tone. We both said no. If she said follow me, it was faint. We knew to follow her. I should have walked out !!! The Restaurant was practically empty !! Maybe a total of 20. We walked up a small ramp that lead us to a larger dining area where we saw a few guests. At our table standing was a youthful warm smile waiting that made us feel ok to stay. I overheard someone calling the name of the woman at the door, and they said Patricia. Our server's name was Jocelyn and she was very delightful. Our server made suggestions and explained that most of the pasta is made in house. Still observing and listening. OMG, the woman is the manager. Mam, I'm sure you will be pleased to know that we will NOT return. She walked by several times smiling and conversing warmly with other guests. This is an authentic looking and a bit dated Italian Restaurant. I'll be brief here. I had the spaghetti and meat sauce. The pasta had that obvious taste of homemade and the sauce as well. The bread was homemade with the potential to be good, if it was warm and soft, not crunchy. I had the salad packaged to go. Appetizer was fried zucchini that was golden brown, crunchy and flavorful. RVA has MANY Choices of restaurants to choose and I should've known better.

The pizza didn't quite live up to the rest of the menu, especially with "Pizzeria" in the name. It wasn't bad, just not on the same level as the entrées. Skip the pizza and go for the traditional Italian dishes -- that's where they really deliver.

The hostess…read moresituation is completely disheveled, as it was the last two times I came here, so they haven't worked that out yet. The sign says "wait to be seated", but there's no one attending the hostess station. This is a common, recurring problem here. After a solid five minutes of standing there with no greeting from anyone, a waiter sees us and comes over to ask how many. We tell him we have a reservation for three people, give him our name, and say he says OK I'll be right back. Let me see what I have set up. Off he goes, and we never see him again. So we stand there another 4 to 5 minutes, and a second waiter comes by to tend to us. We give our name and reservation details. He goes off, also never to be seen again. We wait another 3 to 4 minutes and a woman who looks like the hostess comes around and so for the third time we give our name reservation time and tell her that we requested a booth. She takes a long time, stacking menus and putting the paper part back into the menu sleeves, and then finally gets three menus together and takes us to a table. So then we have to say (again), no we requested a booth, and so then we have to stand by a dirty booth and wait for them to clean it. So the whole beginning of the dinner process is already a mess and that sets a terrible and frustrating tone for the evening. First experiences inside a restaurant are so important and they just don't recognize that here On to dinner. Our waitress comes over and she's lovely, friendly, and seems on top of things at the beginning . We order a couple of drinks and the meatball appetizer while we peruse the menu. A long time goes by and we get our drinks. And then another long time goes by with no appetizer appearing at the table and she comes to take our dinner order. (She had not yet read us the specials so we had to ask for what they were because we heard the waiter behind us giving the specials, but couldn't hear well enough to catch them-I'm pretty sure our waitress was gonna skip over reciting the specials-) . After again, another long amount of time our salads come out, but still no appetizer. So I mention..." we have a meatball appetizer coming right?". She says yes and heads off. (The appetizer should come before the salad, especially when it was ordered way before). So halfway through the salads, the meatballs come. Now I love a meatball and all varieties of a meatballs. These were super firm (like... it took a hard push with a knife to cut into them ), they were barely lukewarm, with a barely melted slab of mozzarella on top. Had they been hot, with the cheese nice and bubbly, they would have been pretty good despite being overly firm and super salty (and I love salt) Entrees came piping hot and were very good (mezze rigatoni and lobster ravioli, and a kids spaghetti) Garlic knots were delicious. Wine pour was great. I think the kitchen, not the waitress, was super slow which impacted our experience. And for a place that stays this busy, they need to hire a hostess to attend the front desk, so that guests are promptly welcomed and seating is managed efficiently. Menu is extensive and the place has great potential.

It looks like it would be more of an upscale place, but I would say it's a normal eatery that works well for a casual lunch or something a little nicer too. I went with the soup of the day which was chicken orzo. My mom chose the lamb gyro sandwich and for her side she went with the veggie of the day which was roasted Brussels sprouts with honey. Overall I thought the food was good. It was definitely well-seasoned. The orzo in the soup was a little mushy for my preference, but the fettuccine was a good texture. The white clam sauce was loaded with clams and garlic. I really enjoyed my dish. My mom enjoyed her gyro sandwich, I did take a small taste of the lamb and it was delicious. The Brussels sprouts were probably my favorite of everything though. They were roasted perfectly, still a little firm with some crispier toastier leaves in the mix and a sweet glaze. The service was fine, I thought the server was very nice. She was most attentive when waiting for us to order, and at the end of our meal she boxed our food up for us which is always a nice touch.
