I am definitely a pizza snob and generally avoid chains, so I've only had Marco's when my apartment building gives them to me for free. Every so often, they give away either cheese or pepperoni pizzas as the monthly "resident event." I always order the pepperoni pizza, and I do enjoy the buttery crust. I haven't had anything other than that from them, but I'm happy enough with that order and don't feel the need to branch out. Overall, I hope my building continues to partner with them. read more

I stopped in here on a whim to pick up a pizza for some of the guys at work. I didn't know this place was there but is very close to my job. I walked in and asked how long it would take to get a large pizza... I had not ordered ahead so i was expecting 20+ min. He said it would take 5-7 min. And he was accurate on the time. Just had my final order from Marco's delivered. They keep finding new ways to disappoint. This time, they didn't replace toppings I selected and failed to add the black olives that I paid extra for. Rather than bake the pizza to "Well Done" as requested, it was significantly under-done. In addition, the "Track My Order" did not work at all. This was one more of a series of botched orders - salads without dressings, wrong toppings, late delivery, missing parmesan packets - never again. read more

Took a trip to VA for Thanksgiving weekend and That Friday I placed an order from Marco's website to feed myself and the fam for lunch. I ordered a large cheese pie, pepperoni pie, sausage pie anddd some cheesy bread. The app was super easy to order from and it gave me an estimated time it would be ready which was like 10 mins from the time I ordered. The location was like 5 mins away from where I was staying so I arrived when the food was supposed to be ready and sure enough it was on the shelf waiting for me. He insisted our address was incorrect (same address we've used for 4 years), that he could/would not resend the order, and then, after telling us we could pay for the order again, had to be prodded into initiating a credit. Happy to see Marco's on this side of town. They're pizza is good, not authentic.. but still good. I was a lil disapointed because I wish they had a place to dine in so I can stop in for lunch but they're clearly meant to pick up or deliver only. The lady behind the counter was really nice and friendly, took care of me quickly. Explaining to me that. "no they dont do slices.".. I'm from NY so thats upsetting to me. The last time I had Marco's, I loved it. We got the meat forward pie and the bbq chicken pie. Both on thin crust. We LOVE that they are not shy on how many toppings they include, which is my chief complaint about most nearby pizza places at the Village. The thin crust is amazingly crisp and not cardboard-like, like most big chains. However, tonight we got The Works on original crust. It was OK, but the crust is too reminiscent of Digiorno's Pizza. Also, they use the mushrooms you find in a jar, which are not my fave. We also got the cinnamon dessert. I do NOT recommend. The icing tastes like straight chemicals and the bread itself was just dense and eh. I will continue to order Marco's, but only the thin crust. read more

Like Sam Shawn the manager has single handedly ruined mine and my hubbys view of Marcos. We started out trying to get delivery which manager shawn kept canceling our order. Then we found they are on Door dash . placed our order and by the time it should have made it to us . The cancelling manager was back at it canceling our order. I eat often since I work close by the Marcos next to Chipotle on Forest. One day, I walked up to the door and since I did not have a mask I waited outside. After a few minutes, I opened the door, still outside, and explained to the person at the register I wanted to place an order but did not have a mask. The person at the register said they were the manager (the ticket said Shawn I think) he proceeded to "TELL" me, in a very condescending tone and demeanor, (very!). "WE, won't be doing "THIS" again!" (As he rudely pointed, with his flour covered finger, to him, and then to me and the space between us. Repeatedly!) "Next time, YOU need to call the order in before you come!). He took my order and the food was great like always at Marcos. BUT, this time, my interaction with the top representative at the store had left a very bad taste in my mouth. HE, singlehandedly had been able to ruin my image of Marcos, at Forest and my eating experience. My company, at my urging, used to order multiple times for delivery. Had I known the new store had such disrespectful and rude manager, I would have started using an alternate place for our meeting meals sooner. Mr. Manager, thank you! Even though it is a franchise, the Richmond locations are locally owned and, in my opinion, the best delivery pizza you can get. What stands out to me is the copious amounts of cheese and the quality of the toppings. The meats are substantial and delicious, the sauce is flavorful, and delivery is on point. Went to Marco's late one evening and had amazing service! The guy was super nice and attentive. The pizza was some of the best take out I have had. The crust was cooked to perfection and had a nice golden glow. The pizza had onions on it that weren't cooked all of the way which threw me off, but one bite and I actually loved the crunch.
