However, what I tend to do now is to order my pizza online and schedule a pickup time. If you go there during a rush, you will definitely save some time. I've never had a bad pizza here, I give it to the employees , I just walked in tonight and there was legit 25 people in front of me . Then after I got through half the line another 10-15 walked in. I LOVE Mod Pizza. I've been to this location a number of times and think about it often. The only reason its only getting 4 stars instead of 5 is because the line is always extremely long, often times out of the door. I would go more often if they could move people through the line quicker. The staff is friendly and helpful, if its your first time in, they will do a great job explaining how it works. The first time I went, the guy at the register was yelling at the crew to go faster and it was uncomfortable to watch. He also had us reuse our cups when we were asking for samples of the beer and wine....yuck. Other than those two points, Mod is wonderful. Terrible food and service. Went at 6 pm to pick up an internet order. I was told it would only be a few more minutes. I waited then decided to walk around the boardwalk and get some fresh air. Came back at 625pm and was told they are just waiting on one thing and it will be right out. After 5 more minutes of waiting I asked another employee and she said it was given to another customer and I would have too wait for a remake. The interior is large and accommodates parties of all sizes. Located in the new little plaza on Barker Cypress and Tuckerton, this is definitely a great quick eats restaurant. Lots of parking but it gets REALLY crowded weekend nights. Boyfriend and I came at the perfect time as there was only a handful of people in front of us. Once we finally made it to the front of the assembly line, things went by pretty quickly. Lots of toppings to choose from. Meats and veggies galore. We ordered the mint chocolate chip and the oreo milkshakes. This is really my only gripe. They use the standard straws here and its REALLY hard to drink from. From creation to finish it was very quick and decently priced. 2 11" pizzas and 2 milkshakes for under $27.00. read more

Last night I called to place an order for pick up and was placed on hold by an employee for 12 minutes and was hung up on after the wait. In the mean time my husband was already on his way to pick up the order and I called him to tell him to just order in person. When he arrived one employee led him to where he can order the food and another employee told him that they are done taking orders for the night. If I was not hung up on then my order would have been granted. Also my husband arrived well before their closing time and if they stopped taking order then all employees should be on the same page. The prices of the pizzas are fixed based on size. I always get the "mini" (6 inch) because it's the perfect serving size for a meal. We waited awhile after they opened to try MOD Pizza, but man was it worth it! A "MOD" pizza will run you just $7.87.... It's a thin 11" crust with any and all toppings you want! They have about a dozen "classic" pizzas with predetermined toppings, but you can ask for one of those and add whatever you want in addition to the predetermined ones at no extra charge. I had the "Salvatore" and my wife had the "Lucy", but we both added a whole lot of extra stuff on ours! The girl at the front of the serving line was super friendly and welcomed us after we mentioned it was our first time there, and explained how it all works, because I will admit, initially I was a tad confused. All you need to know is there is no extra charge for whatever toppings you want! What other pizza place does that? Plus, they have roasted garlic, roasted red pepper and a ton of other "non-traditional" toppings as well as all those staples. Thin crust was baked perfectly, had a nice crispness to it but not too much. Felt very healthy with all those veggies we piled on! They've been packed every time we go but they're working really hard all while still being friendly. Pizza is amazing and the prices are GREAT! I love getting a pizza with NO red sauce. I go pesto, more garlic, artichokes, black olives, roasted garlic, Parmesan and topped with balsamic. I definitely win best pizza award at our table. Summary- Very good thin crust wood oven pizza in fast casual setting. Food- 4.5 Stars Really solid wood fired thin crust pies. Have tried a few different ones and liked them all. Mostly they have been very well cooked with some minor exceptions (one burnt ass pie). Only exception- I don't like the mega mod, where they stack two pizzas kinda. You are better off ordering two pies because it kinda ruins the crust. Atmosphere- 4 Stars Clean and nice, well designed. Value- 2 Stars Fairly expensive for pizzas of their size, probably the largest knock on the whole deal. Drinks- 4 Stars They have a few beers and wines on tap.
