A SUB ABOVE ALL In the past, I've always frequently ordered my subs from Subway or Jason's Deli, and nowhere else. I've had Jersey Mike's samples over the years at parties and various events, but I've never had the experience of what they fully have to offer in a sub. Although I love a good sandwich/sub, I don't eat them as much as I used to in the past. However, I was really in the mood for a great tasting sub on this particular day and decided that this was a wonderful opportunity to see what Jersey Mike's is all about. When I walked into the building, I was not greeted by any of the workers that were behind the ordering counter. Although they saw me and heard the door chime when I walked in, they were all concentrating on the task in front of them. I stood there for about two minutes or so before someone finally acknowledged my presence and asked me if I wanted to order anything. I'm looking at him like, "duhhh yes I would like to order something. Do you think I'm just standing here for fun?" But I decided not to say that out loud and to keep it friendly, lol. Anyway, I already knew what I wanted to order because I had searched the menu online before making the trip. The guy that waited on me was friendly and cordial. However, he did not offer an apology for allowing me to wait without informing me that someone would be with me momentarily. Good customer service is to greet the customers upon entering any establishment and if you're busy with some other task at the moment, one just has to simply say, "I will be with you in a moment ma'am/sir." It's not calculus. It's really that simple to just say those few words to a paying customer so that they won't get the feeling that they're being ignored. I felt very uncomfortable and I nearly walked out without ordering. If I had been ignored a second longer, I would have walked away. Moving along, I ordered the Turkey and Provolone sub which is one of their cold subs. For my add-ons, I asked for banana peppers, hot chopped pepper relish, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, black pepper, and mayo all on white bread. Guys when I bit into the first bite, the flavors of the hot chopped pepper relish infused with the flavors of the onions and banana peppers exploded in my mouth like 4th of July fireworks. The chopped pepper relish appeared to be chopped red peppers, but done just so like pickled relish. I've never heard of it or tried it before, but it really set the sandwich off. It was absolutely delicious with a bit of a spicy kick. I kept thinking to myself, "now this is a sub!" I couldn't stop taking bites and I knew that I needed to take a moment to breathe and then continue but it was so delicious that I just couldn't help myself. I finished that sub in record time. In conclusion, Jersey Mike's is a legit sandwich shop that serves fresh and great tasting subs. I truly enjoyed my sandwich immensely! The bread was fresh and flavorful and the turkey was also fresh. I hate it when I order a sub and the meat has that un-fresh taste because it's old. It throws everything off and makes me sick to my stomach. Jason's Deli is known for serving old-tasting meat on their sandwiches, which is why I stopped ordering from them in the past. I really liked Jersey Mike's and I believe I will patronize them again in the future but at a different location. Hopefully, this location will work on their customer service skills because it matters significantly. I gave them three stars for their delicious sub. However, the dining area is tiny and was a bit cluttered and messy during my visit because a worker was using some of the area and had boxes and other stuff on the tables. I could hardly get inside the door upon entering and exiting because of this. I'm glad that I was getting my sandwich to go because the atmosphere was not inviting at all. I do not recommend this location because they need to make some serious adjustments when it comes to good customer service and creating an environment that's clean, friendly, and welcoming for all of their paying customers. read more

This Jersey Mike's opened March 18, 2020 during all the COVID-19 mess. I ordered online today and I have to say, GREAT SANDWICH!" I ordered a regular Mike's Famous Philly and my hubby ordered a regular size Big kahuna cheesesteak. We did not get chips or a drink. Just the great sandwiches. The only difference between the two sandwiches is: his comes with jalapeño peppers mine does not and I got rid of the bell peppers in my sandwich. They put so much meat on my sandwich I should have only ate 1/2. I see a nap in my future now! My husband and I are so fully from our sandwiches. They are doing free delivery if you order online. I opted to go pick ours up. The owner was there and I believe his name was Scott;(forgive me if that's not his name)and he was so nice and friendly. The whole restaurant was cute & SUPER clean! Normally I would have stopped and taken some photos of the restaurant but since we are dealing with COVID-19 these days - I just dashed in and dashed out. I will be happy to take photos next time! Ordered 3 subs and sodas. Got home and the sandwiches were on the bottom with sodas on top. My BLT had zero tomatoes. Had to go back. "Here you go" was the sum total of their apology. read more

We order to go from here often and up till today our sandwiches are usually made the way we order. There's been a few hit or miss days where they forgot an ingredient. But today my husband picked up my sandwich and the bread was hard as brick. I couldn't even enjoy it. I could knock the bread on a table and it would make a sound. I had to take my ingredients out and put it in regular sandwich bread it. I was so upset. I'm pretty sure they gave me old bread which makes me question what this location is doing with their breads at the end of the day. The hubby picked up some sandwiches and all that I could think about was whether or not there would be leftovers to take for lunch at work tomorrow! I'm definitely a sandwich person; Born and raised in Chicago, I know a great one when I see one, smell one, and taste one. We ordered the "Big Kahuna Cheesesteak", which was on point! Topped with onion, jalapeños, and bacon as a standard, the sandwich is satisfying and filling! This is how I was able to have lunch for tomorrow! I normally come to this location because it was the only one in the area til the barker cypress location opened but every time we go we disappointed with the service that we came back to this location and i must say that things are NOT the same! The service is ok but the sandwiches were bland even after adding to it! The bread was a little hard! And the topping are just not enough! Even subway has more options! I asked for the juice and didn't get enough and my husband got too much! We didn't get chips from them because those almost empty bags are just not enough and at the time we went the soda machine was out of order so we did not get drinks either! Not impressed with either location and probably wont go back for a while! 3 sandwiches a la carte for almost $40 I'm better off just making them at home. read more

We've come to this Jersey Mikes since it first opened and actually used to drive up to the Fairfield location. I believe they are both owned by the same people. We're from "Jersey" and the shore is a second home to us so we love a good Jersey Mikes. Tonight for the second time in the last few weeks, we went to get subs and decided to eat there. Food was good, but the place had trash by the tea machines, tables were dirty and so was the floors. Not acceptable, especially with four guys working and store was not busy. I was surprised to see the store so dirty and lettuce on floor and counters no tea made, etc. I am accustomed to Jersey Mike's being cleaned and organized and it looked more like a Subway and not a Jersey Mike's. Off to a bad start so far. 15 to 20 minutes late on an online order and 3 of the 5 subs we ordered were made wrong. They have some kinks with regard to the timing of orders and getting orders right but the food is not bad. 1 star for service and 4 stars for quality of the subs. We ordered 2 monsters, 1 regular and 2 kids meals. One of the monsters was chicken instead of steak. We ordered two kids meals with pickles, cheese and mayo but we received 2 kids meals with lettuce, tomato, and no pickles. 2 out of 5 were correct. read more

I love Italian sandwiches but usually talk myself out of them due to the high sodium levels. I decided to indulge yesterday and settled on Jersey Mike's because I noticed that they now have meat that is raised without antibiotics. I ordered the #5, Super Sub -- Mike's Way. I love spice and wanted to try the Cherry Pepper Relish but didn't want to ruin my sandwich so asked for it on the side. Once I got home, I literally scooped out a spoon of relish to enjoy with each bite of the sandwich. It was delicious!! I found the relish to be very watery and I'm not sure if that's normal. I will continue to get it on the side because it could make my sandwich very soggy, very quickly. Looking forward to returning to try some of the hot subs. read more

Again, they can't seem to get simple orders right. Just picked up our sandwiches, and the lettuce, tomato and mikes way dressings are all missing from my sandwich. My order was clear, only changed the cheese and removed bacon. Meanwhile my husband's hot steak sandwich has tomatoes, which he did not order and cannot eat!!! The last time we ordered they didn't get it right either, and we had to go back to the store to get the sandwiches remade. So sick of not getting what we ordered here. If you think all Jersey Mike shops are the same you are mistaken. This store on Fry road is one of the BEST! It's always clean and they employ some of the nicest most hard working people. They look you in the eye and treat you like a person and not just a nameless face. I don't care where I am, if I want a Jersey Mike's sub I am coming here only. read more

My husband and I ventured out of our neighborhood and decided to stop by this particular Jersey Mike's location (not our usual location). On a Friday night at 7:30 pm the workers looked to be closing for the night even though the closing time was stated as 9:00pm and there were plenty of customers waiting to place an order. This place was DISGUSTING, the floor behind the counter was littered with food; the counter tops were covered in food; the meat/cheese slicer was littered with food debris stacked to the plexiglass divider, the condiment containers were empty and bags of chips laying on the floor in front of the counter. This facility does not even deserve the one star rating but Yelp won't allow one to post a review without a star and the health department would have a field day with all the obvious violations. I know there are other Jersey Mike locations that offer a more pristine restaurant environment and I strongly urge everyone to avoid this location. read more
