If you could give zero stars I would you should not offer a gluten-free crust if you're not going to serve it to people who have gluten allergies what the hell is the point! As soon as you tell them you have a gluten allergy they will refuse to actually even cook a pizza for you! They have zero concept of preventing cross-contamination! They have zero concept of what it means to offer gluten-free products to the public! The public expects if you carry gluten-free products that they are actually gluten free! Not they were gluten-free and then you contaminated them because you refuse to clean the line and you refuse to change your toppings out for fresh ones! I'm from the Pacific Northwest where MODs are all over. I was so excited when I heard they were coming to Edwardsville! My husband and I LOVE it. We went twice last weekend (glad I signed up for the rewards!). I always get the "gluten-friendly" crust as I have an allergy. Luckily I'm not very sensitive, otherwise I would have definitely gotten sick because they don't have any special GF protocol they follow, although I'm sure they'd be careful and change gloves if I asked. But since I'm not very sensitive there's no need. So beware if you have celiac. My husband loves the "mega" dough and it's worth the extra $2 to him. The berry lemonade is so good but SUPER sugary. Overall, it's a very good bang for your buck. I'm sure I'll be hitting up MOD at least once a week for a while. read more

I love this place. When you come in, the staff greets you loudly and welcomes you in. Everyone seems so happy and you can tell they enjoy being there. The food is amazing, my favorite pizza I've had so far is a Dominic with no sausage! They have so many options and choices, it's perfect for everyone! Tried Mod's pizza for the first time and was not impressed. Service was fast and efficient but the pizza only so-so. Crackerish crust, not enough sauce and very stingy with the toppings. Garlic breadsticks was another cracker crust with small amounts of toppings. Marinara dipping sauce was served cold. Simple Salad was too simple, only filling half the bowl. I was stoked to eat here because it just opened in my area. When my family got there the line was out the restaurant and we had to wait 30 minutes to get our food and when we got up there we could barely hear the people so they kept messing up our orders and we had to keep repeating ourselves. We were so excited to try this place when it opened up. After waiting in line for twenty minutes, we gave them our order and sat down. Ten minutes later, they called us up and my order was wrong, even though it was clearly written on the paper on which it came. We brought it back up to the counter, only to be greeted by attitude. The teenage girl working there looked clearly annoyed that I was bringing back a pizza that was smothered in mushrooms when I said I couldn't eat them. After my pizza came out the second time, we received a half hearted apology from the manager. Looking for an alternative to Dewey's and Peel we tried MOD. Ordered several of their pizzas and a Shaved Brussel sprout salad to go. Salad was very small, had (maybe) one brussel sprout-worth, lots and lots of garlic cloves (Vampires beware) Pizzas were light on all toppings. While better than Little Cesar's and Dominos, the crust was just okay. Gluten free crust was a disappointment. A bit of a wait at the end for the pizzas. No real waiting area for the takeout. This may become an issue when the patio area is open. A bit expensive for the amount of food. Would have given 2.5 stars. read more

The music is too loud. I couldn't hear myself think. The pizza crust was a little too charred and there wasn't enough sauce on the pizza. The lemonade was way too tart. The napkin dispenser was empty. However, the order sheet was very creative and the pricing was good. If you're looking for good wood fired pizza, this place wouldn't be my first option. read more

Went with the family last night. I think the concept is a great idea but they fall short on the service side. We spent probably 20 minutes in line. Decided to just order from the menu thinking it'd be faster but the employees had to keep looking over the people in line to just make our pizza and salads. They didn't even know their own menu. They then charged us for 3 pizzas and it took 2-3 people to figure out how to refund the difference. The pizza was just ok and the chicken on the salad was horrible. This is good honest (thin crust) pizza. Not a fine dining/gourmet experience but quick, tasty, pizza, in a fresh clean restaurant, no frills good food. I am fussy (as my wife :-) ) but I have been here three times in less than seven days and will happily go again. read more

Ordered online showed up at the time of pickup. Waited 15 minutes and finally asked the young man about my order only to have him laugh to tell me they never put my order in. Mrg. came over to tell me he was on it and I would have my pizza's in 8 minutes. After another 15 minutes of waiting and watching customer after customer come up to tell them the order was wrong I finally received my order. Got home only to find 2 of the 3 pizza's wrong and all 3 burned on the bottom. My advise would be to go to QT or Circle K and get a pizza as it would taste better and the service would be much better. SORRY TO SAY YOU ARE FAILING MISBRABLY. read more

45 min wait just to order. Wasn't "Super Fast" as the sign says and the food was cold. They play good music though.

By far not impressed. Went to get food for a guest and there was issues. GM comes over starting at me with an attitude. Refused to talk to the guest on the phone and instead canceled her order. No attempt at actually coming to a resolution, refused to take care of the guest. Overallmy client didn't get her food and instead went with another restaurant. I have 15 years in restaurants and have rarely seen a GM have an attitude like that. She is not trained to handle problems. Not only lost my client but my family and friends as well. read more

The pizza, salad and drink options were fantastic. However, it was so loud that I could not speak to my children across the table. I finally decided to go to the counter to tell the staff that the music, while my favorite music, was too loud. The staff member was unfriendly. She said it was part of the atmosphere and their commutation to yell at each other. I tried to explain that I couldn't talk to my family at our table. Instead of thanking me for my comments that would be considered, she was smirking and unapologetic. After readying to leave moments later, the volume went down. I again approached the counter to tell the same staff member thank you for turning the volume down that it was much nicer; again, smirking, unapologetic, she said it was part of their atmosphere. Wow, just wow! This place was the bomb! They have so many different toppings and sauces to choose from and their service was so fast I walked in behind a line of people and made it to the register in almost 9 minutes! But the real thing that made this place stand out to me was the service! These people were so friendly and nice to everyone, they made my day! The moment you set foot in the door they greet you and welcome you in and from that moment forward you're treated like a friend and not like a customer! I went to eat at MOD tonight with my boyfriend and parents. We loved the atmosphere, the music, and the pizza. I work in a restaurant and a classic pet peeve is when people stay after close -- we were those people tonight. We didn't realize they closed at 9, and we didn't leave until 9:25. The staff was so friendly, and never made us feel like we had to leave, so huge kudos to them. Then on top of that, my mom lost her phone on the way out. The guy closing down the front of the store let her come in (twice) and search around. After about 30 minutes of searching the restaurant and parking lot, she finally found it. Once again, no complaining from the staff; they were all so kind. Safe to say, we love MOD! Looking forward to our next visit. read more

Horrible service. Such a nightmare. Yesterday my friend and I placed two online orders planning to get together at her place. On purpose we set up a scheduled 7:30 pm as pick up time. We had a total of 8 pizza, 3 from my side and 5 from hers. When I sent my son to pick up them, he came back from the store with 2 pizza (one from my order, one from my friend). I then went in the store to ask about the remaining pizza. You would think than when they realized the mistake they would prepare the 6 remaining pizza in one round. Instead each pizza was done between other orders. As result, I waited 30 min to leave with some cold pizza, some warm, some hot. And in this chaos I did not realized one pizza was missing! My friend's husband called the store, and he was told that they were going to make the missing pizza right away. What a joke! When he got there they did not even start to make the pizza. Not even once we got a serious apologize or discount or anything. This place is run by a bunch of kids who cannot handle large orders or consumer satisfaction. Pizza is good, price is also good. But the horrible service makes me thinking twice before ordering again from this location. read more
