We had a party of 7, at 5:00 on a Sunday. It was pretty empty when we arrived. Our orders were taken promptly. The one salad ordered came out very quickly the goat cheese walnut salad and it was great! Our one appetizer came out shortly after, the balsamic glazed Brussel sprouts. We've ordered them once before, they could have been cooked a bit longer this time but the flavor was great. We had several pizzas, including a gluten free crust. They were all good! One person ordered a sandwich and it was delayed, but they gave us a discount to make up for the delay. Overall a great pizza option especially if you need gluten-free! read more

Came here from STL on a Friday night. There was a steady stream of people in and out, and our party of 4 was seated right away. There is a patio seating area, but it was closed that night. Note: They also have a happy hour from 3-6 Monday-Friday but we were too late for it this go around. $1 off drafts and $3 off Apps. The restaurant has a great draft beer selection as well as numerous pizzas and sandwich options to select from. You can even build your own pizza or calzone. I am an IPA lover and out of their 18 drafts that were currently on tap, 3 of them were IPA's. I opted for an IPA I had never tried and went with the Deadhead. It is less hoppy than many IPA's but had a very clean finish and was perfect for a warm summer evening. Pizza wise, I ordered a medium Big Hawaiian o hand tossed crust and added fresh jalapeños. I love that they had fresh jalapeño on the menu because in most pizza joints, they come out of the jar. Note to self...add onions to this pizza next time if you get it. Pizza came out hot, fresh, and was good , but I wish I would have added the onions. Wanted to try somewhere we had never been on a girls day out today. Food was amazing! make sure you add the house salad to your order because it's a show stopper with artichoke hearts and pimentos. The pizzas are also amazing. The steak on the steakhouse was tender and delicious. Menu had a wide range to try with something for everyone. The only reason they get 4 instead of 5 stars is there were only two serves running around trying to do everything. Both worked their butts off but could only do so much. Side salad is extra, but totally worth it. They're all really good. Upside is the pizza. It's really good. So are the calzones. I get the hand tossed, cuz I'm not a wafer-thin-st-louis pizza guy. I've been here four times now, and each visit has been fantastic. The pizza and service are always spot-on. We went last night after a disappointing experience at another local pizza spot, and they completely turned our night around. The bartender was amazing--our drinks were never empty. We ordered the prosciutto pizza and the chicken Caesar pizza, and the chicken Caesar was especially incredible! This has now been our Valentine's tradition two years in a row. Nice and quiet with few customers when we walked in mid day and were seated quickly. The quiet didn't last long and we asked that it at least be turned down so we could talk. Our daughter, a vegan, was familiar with the restaurant and steered us in, our first meal of the day, and not really into pizza. She ordered a 10" vegan with cauliflower crust. Happy with it. Hubby ordered a meatball sandwich which we were going to share, but it was delivered on a large roll with three large meatballs and sauce. Stopped here early on a Friday evening for dinner. We got a table right away - I thought it would be really crowded on a Friday night, so was pleasantly surprised. Had a great waiter who took care of us - offered us complimentary samples of their on tap beer so we could choose. I ended up getting a blueberry beer which was good. I was excited to see that they offered a gluten free crust for their pizza - we each got our own small pizza, and wow were they good!! If you are a sports fan, they had the local baseball game on in the bar area, plus some auto racing; it would be a great place to stop in and catch a game on TV any night of the week. Fairly regular customer with solid experiences, but tonight very disappointing. Tried delivery for first time. Delivery was promised in 51 minutes. Ok. At minute 65 was wondering where the pizza and salad were. Noticed that I received a text that the order was delivered, but had been sitting 10' from the front double doors with large windows and hadn't heard anything. Got up, went to front door, saw the pizza and salad on my front porch. Pizza was cold like it came out of the fridge. We are newer to the area and are always on the hunt for decent restaurants being foodie transplants from DFW. We have been here several times and it is a good consistent option for yummy food! They do not skimp on the toppings and their hand-tossed crust is light and airy. We had excellent service as well. I can't remember our servers name unfortunately, I think they said it was Kiley (which I am probably spelling incorrectly) but they were spunky, upbeat, and smiling, which you don't find in customer service much anymore. As for ambiance, it looks like a large sports bar with lots of space inside, and plenty of open seating. A nice local pizza place. Plenty of seating with a bar area as well. I had an 8" sausage and pepperoni pizza. It was good but could have had more of the toppings. A little lite for the price. The 2 ingredient pizza was $11.59 with tax. A few tables were occupied in both the bar and the restaurant. The bartender was very dry and attentive not only to me but to the tables as well. We went to Pappos for happy hour. Sat at the bar. The restaurant was quiet at 3pm. Matt was our bartender. He was attentive, polite, and helpful. We got cold beers and chatted. We ordered three appetizers for supper. We ordered meatballs, ravioli, and crostini. We figured that would fill us up. Oh wow--. It was delicious and spicy. Way more than the two of us could eat. We took home a box of leftovers for another day. Gotta say- the place is clean and I observed bartenders cleaning the area multiple times. Bathrooms super clean too. Pizza "bowl" is actually a large oval casserole dish with a layer of sauce, mozzarella and toppings. Good option if you're avoiding gluten. Should have gotten the gluten free or cauliflower crust. Salads are way huge and even the small is sharable. House dressing is good but get it on the side, it's super sweet and salad was swimming in it. We had a good time here! So we're staying nearby at Drury Inn and wanted to find a place to grab some light bites and a few beers. This place really fit the mark! The bartender was so nice and attentive and they had mango cart for only $6! That's really a steal! Anyway we had the shrimp scampi. I do wish they had toasted the bread slightly, but otherwise it made a super tasty accompaniment to the poached shrimp in butter garlic sauce. Super yummy. I would LOVE to come back and try their shrimp scampi pizza. I decided to check this place out on a whim during a weekday afternoon. There weren't many people there but I think that's because I got there after the lunch rush. The floors and tables were clean so that was a good sign. My waitress was sweet and made sure I was enjoying my food without being too bothersome. I decided to try the mozzarella and tomato crustini, which was freakin bomb! I also decided to try the Mexicana pizza minus meat and I really enjoyed it. The only disappointing thing was that the toasted ravioli was pre-made and couldn't be made to have no meat. Regardless, this is one of my favorite places and I can't wait to visit again! read more

Not worth it!!! I was truly disappointed with my visit to Pappo's. We were taken to an area of the restaurant where there were no working fans and in complete heat of the sun. Our waitress took over 20 minutes to check on us and to take our orders. The waitress was unfamiliar with the lunch menu and told me I couldn't order an item I was told was part of the lunch menu. I contacted the establishment prior to our visit. My daughter happened to order an Apple Bourbon Pulled Pork pizza along with a Caesar salad. Her salad was missing all of its normal components. Her salad was served with iceberg lettuce and that was it. Her dressing tasted just like Toom garlic spread and not one crouton. The Apple Bourbon Pulled Pork pizza looked like soup was thrown on top of the pizza. I ordered hot wings which were alright and lacked all spiciness. My daughter ended up switching her pizza out for a Philly Cheesesteak and it was the driest one I've ever seen. They provide a cup of what was supposed to be au jus and seemed more like salty gravy mix. On top of all that we had purchased multiple vouchers from Fox2Now and was told they could not be used on promotional items. These were items on the menu and not a specials menu.
