I like Mod pizza but this location is so dirty and nasty. One time I came in and there were gnats flying everywhere all around the food. I tried to give this location another chance since it's nearby where I live and the food line was disgusting and the floor was even worse. It looks like that hadn't cleaned anything in weeks and food was just building up on the floor and caked up in the crevices of the food compartments. Need to update hours. Went to location Monday February 1st and store was closed at 9:35 (hours say open till 10) we eat mod at least once a week. Mod is great pizza...when it's open. If I could give zero stars I would . So disappointed with this location. The pizza is fine most the time but the service is SO BAD. I will literally drive 20 minutes away versus the 3 minutes to this one from now on. I ordered online through THE MOD APP... at 7:05. I ran a few errands and got there around 7:30 , my promised ready by time via the app was like 7:35..... then I proceeded to wait . And wait . And wait. They hadn't even started my order. Half the people in line walked through, paid and got their pizzas before my order was even started. They didn't even begin to make my pizza until 7:40 something. Finally at 7:50 my pizza was ready. Annnd my order was incorrect. Even though it was typed out correctly very clearly on the receipt, they hadn't done it right. Also I didn't receive one of my items and had to ask for it. I've been to other locations and I must say this location is the worst I've ever seen. The area around the ingredients was dirty, they drink area was dirty, the soda machine had ice piled up under the drink options, the tables were not cleaned, the workers were pushing dishes across the floor and the workers were complaining about being at work in front of us. We love other locations BUT this one lacks organization! Been to MOD a few times before, but this was my first time at the new N Fry location, and safe to say, they did not disappoint. All the staff was extremely welcoming, and a few even made it a point to actually connect with us, which is relatively rare for any restaurant experience. The location is also super convenient! I've had pizza all over the country. This is in my top 3 - and it's chain store no less! This store in Katy was a little slow to start but after going a few times, my most recent visit it was evident they had worked out the kinks. Fast service, great staff, fantastic pizza, great vibe. The people were nice. But the place is filthy!! The sneeze shield was gross tables had trash under them. And this was at noon. Bathrooms are disgusting. Trash bins hadn't been clean in a long time. I was soooooooo excited that a Mod Pizza location would now be in Katy and I couldn't wait to try it out!!! Initially I was going to Whataburger and now I wish I had!!! I have been to the Mod Pizza off of Memorial and Dairy Ashford and that is my favorite location and to the Mod in Cypress. Both of these locations greet you so nicely. I cannot say the same for this location on Fry. I walked in about 10:33 a.m. so they had just opened at 10:30. No greeting at all!!!! Okay, there was an older couple completing their order so I waited patiently. I can hear the young guy at the register explaining a card that he had given to each of them. They complete their order and the young guy greets me and takes my order. Same process to order the pizza so no problem there. They bake my pizza and as the young guy boxes it, I ask him, " Was the card you were explaining to them some type of rewards program?" He replied, " No, it a Manager's thing, where you randomly give the card to customers and upon their return they get a free pizza." I replied okay and he boxed my pizza. I walked out thinking to myself, "Hmmmm, guess I wasn't "random" enough!!! Now let me stress - I understand what random means and I definitely am not looking to get freebies but it would have been nice to get one since I saw it and inquired about it. So I get home and begin to eat my pizza. It was baked too much and had a burn taste to it. I don't stay close enough to go back and request another, so I ate around it. I finished it (of course I did, I paid for it) and that is when I remembered to take a picture. I love this place at ALL their locations. The staff is down to earth. I feel like the people that help me at whole food also work here, lol. For less than $10 you get whatever you want on your MOD pizza and as much as you want. Even though it's thin crust, I like to turn it into a deep dish meat pie pizza, and they do it with a smile! I was excited about having a MOD pizza in Katy near my house. My son and I visited on the 4th of July. We ordered some pizza and then were hit with it- no anchovies at this location. We promptly cancelled our order and they woman who said no anchovies looked perplexed. No anchovies means to me you don't want observant Jews, Moslems, or pescatarians in your restaurant. What is so "special" about Katy Texas where we can't have anchovies? Do they think maybe we are a little too Hispanic? Have they seen the seafood sections in these new Mexican grocery stores? Great customer service!! Today I was getting take out and as my pizza was being boxed a customer stepped in front of me asking for some extra sauces. The employee mistook that my pizza was this person's, gave him the sauce and my order. An easy mistake, especially when this individual accepted the extra pizza (without protest) and sauce. He knew it wasn't his order. I know this because he took the pizza outside then walked back in and told them he only wanted extra sauce because he already had his pizza. I thoroughly enjoy eating Mod's and I've been eating at this location since it's opening, but recently, I decided to pay this location a visit and I noticed the cleanliness of the place was not the best (in comparison to the Towne Lake location). The most disturbing part of the visit was the cashier, who I think was/is the manager, placing pizzas in the oven. I didn't notice a glove or anything! Do you all think it's sanitary to handle pizza and money at the same time? This is disgusting! This place is so good! I'd give it infinity stars if I could . This place lets you order anything you want on your pizza and has good service. It has nicely cut pizza and it's quick yet yummy. Just left from here about 5 minutes ago. Food is great. However, ONE employee, long long maybe 26" long black to blonde braids, was awful. Being in the restaurant industry myself for over 10 years, she is one of the rudest employees at a food establishment I have ran into. It was our first time here and I won't go back to this location because of her. She slowly poured the (basically empty) hot honey sauce into a small Togo container. The sauce filled less than halfway in the container. She took out two bags to put our sauces in and set it to the side. We asked for another sauce. She filled another one the same amount. My boyfriend kindly said "I'm sorry I know your probably not trying to go get another bottle but can we get one more sauce to go". And she said "Yeah, I'm not." And rested the empty bottle in the container as it slowly dropped out the last bit there was. It filled maybe a quarter of the container. At this point I asked if she can just go get another bottle. She got mad, came back, quickly refilled the other containers since she knew they were barely full, piled them on top of our pizza boxes, shoved them towards us, the sauce containers fell, she then picked up the bags she was GOING to give us for our sauces and put them back where she got them from. I was able to get whatever I wanted on my pizza, I also wanted it a little crispy and it came out just right. The assistant manager talked to me and explained their reward program.
