Alright , So I Love MOD pizza and whoever created it, you're awesome. Ok now back to this review! The first thing that caught my eyes were the people behind the counter , okay cool let it go, then as we got closer it was the cleanliness. Beyond Dirty !!!!! Now I'm from Chicago so hole in the walls are not new and some of the best places ain't the cleanest, however this place scared me. So as we proceeded to order you can tell it wasn't organized, the way they made our pizza was a mess and then poured TOO much salt that I didn't notice until the pizza came out because some parts of the pizza was burnt and then when I took a bite it was confirmed. The use of gloves were almost non existent until I said something , using the same gloves while searching the under fridge for more toppings and then had the audacity to touch doors didn't change gloves , idk why they were rushing they don't close until 11. Super Deliciousness! You have the option of having your pizza custom made, or you can order from their menu. You can also order a salad if you'd like. They have an individual wrapped dessert called " no name cake" it's very tasty, chocolate cake. It's a fun environment, great vibe. A few people have celebrated their birthday when we've dined in. The owner's I believe also work in the restaurant, they thank you as you're leaving, they say something like... "Thank you for coming in,we'll see you tomorrow." :) Very friendly group of people work here. Before COVID-19 they were rocking! Very busy! We typically order our pizza for pick up. While I wait for my pizza, the staff is so sweet, they offer me a free soft drink. You may also dine in, order take out, or sit outside if the weather permits. Daughter went to pick up our PAID order and signs on door saying closed early. Was 30 minutes before posted closing time. This is second time this has happened at this location. Thankfully someone still there and opened door and she picked up. Last time we couldn't get it and had to fight them to get money back. They state they are open until 10 during week but apparently just lock up when they want. Cannot believe they take online paid orders and then leave. Only giving 2 stars because the pizza is good. This is my second time coming to MOD, I love that you're able to customize it the way you want to! Last night we I got mine it was sliced in 5 slices, one being the smallest slice you've ever seen and the 4 slices taking of the rest of it. It wouldn't be a big deal other than just moving and still looking for a pizza cutter of some sort :/. I ordered the cauliflower crust with spicy marinara, grilled chicken, bacon, spicy chicken sausage pineapple and roasted corn topped with buffalo sauce. Crazy right but it tasted good. My husband had a pizza with feta and recommends doing another cheese with it since the feta was pretty minimal. read more

I walked into this place and it was a total wreck. There was chairs and pizza all over the place. Two workers proceeded to hold conversation before a gentleman from the back walked up to take my order. He proceeded to tell me he just got to work and wasn't sure why the place was such a mess. The toppings were empty the crust was wet and had been sitting out for who knows how long. He made my pizza with what was left over and then cooked it for about 2 minutes. This place has some serious training opportunities for the staff and some real policy issues. Went here with my 3 year old daughter and wanted to order a mini sized pie. I was told by the worker wearing a stocking cap in August in Texas that they can't press a 6" mini crust unless it was ordered online. They were literally prepping a 6" pie for someone else as he told me that. I pointed at said pie with a confused face. I told him "fine, you want me to take two steps back and order on my phone?!" "Yes" was the answer. So I step back and let the folks behind me go ahead while trying to order online. The folks order. I ordered two pizzas online - one mini and one 11". Went to pick them up 15 minutes later. The ingredients were switched between the two. Online ordering was effortless and they even had the orders with the correct ingredients printed out on the boxes when we picked them up. Don't understand how they messed that up by putting the wrong ingredients on the wrong pizzas. Additionally whatever pre-fab crust they are using just isn't tasty - don't know how to describe it, but it was soggy and artificial-tasting. Would not recommend. I got my usual complicated pizza order with 1000 things on top and I accidentally asked for garlic without specifying which one. This sweet girl helping me noticed my face and asked me if I meant the mince and she took off the garlic cloves and gave me minced!! The second to the last time we ordered for delivery one of the orders was made incorrectly. The ticket on the box was correct, no cheese only pepperoni and red sauce but the opposite was made only cheese and no sauce with pepperoni. That order was for my 9 year old daughter that doesn't eat cheese. We called and they said it would be another hour before we could get a new one or we could drive up to the store then. Of course I wasn't going to have my daughter wait another hour, plus eat alone or we wait and all our pizza's are cold. You did correct the order but should have at least refunded the delivery fee since we had to drive up there to get my daughter's corrected order before 9pm. We decided to go ahead and give Mod another try last week and ordered again for delivery via the Mod app. The delivery time giving to us was by 7:11PM. The delivery person sent me a text at 7 saying he was there waiting on the order. I called the store at 7:50PM to ask when it would be ready as it was already almost an hour late. I was told they didn't have anyone waiting on the pizza. Which isn't true because I can see in the door dash app that the delivery person was there. Plus why would he lie and say he was waiting on the pizza and not there? You didn't get the order to him until 8:11PM a solid hour after it should have at the latest arrived at my door. Also one of the pizza's was a little on the burnt side. I get that you are short staffed, however; the Mod APP shouldn't make promises of delivery that can't be met. Over an hour late isn't acceptable. So two bad experiences in a row why should I make it a third? Also, this isn't the first time you have messed up an order, last time it was mine which I just ate as it was at least it wasn't my kids order you messed up. That time the ticket order was also correct so once again clearly an issue at the store and not at all my fault. Ya'll did give a refund that time which I do appreciate but with the numerously mess ups that makes for very late dinner with the family I think we will not risk it anymore. There were too many employees who didn't know what they were doing. Someone would come to help prepare the pizzas, and then the orders would get mixed up if you weren't paying attention. The employees didn't know the ingredients on the set menu pizzas. Ingredients were placed mainly in the middle of the pizza and not spread evenly over the pizza. Warning - long post lol. Had the single worst day at work - nonstop workload and no time to even eat. Decided to pop in after work and get a pizza to go. While in line, there was a "Karen" ordering like ten pizzas and every one of them had special toppings and she would watch the counter girl as she was making them (like a hawk) and would be like "umm more pepperoni" or "too much sauce" lol. When it was my turn to order - I just got a plain old cheese pizza and, since no one was in line behind me, started chatting with the girls and cracked a few jokes and just had a little moment of pleasant chat and smiles. I even joked a little with "Karen". Waiting for my turn to pay, I just continued chatting and thanking them for showing up and doing such a great job (because they are super sweet and efficient) and when it was my turn to pay, I got my pizza and was offered a free drink "for being nice" lol. Bottom line: the pizza is great - as I love thin crust pizza - and the price is affordable and they were amazing at handling people with the Covid pandemic - their setup is awesome. The service, however, was STELLAR!!! Wonderful staff - personable, friendly, efficient, and just plain nice. I'm not usually one for chain restaurants - but do yourself a favor and stop in and give them a try. I'll definitely be back. And finally - moral of the story: just be nice. It doesn't cost a thing and you'd be surprised how even the smallest gesture of kindness or a simple smile can just make someone's day. I went in at the end of a horrible day and walked out ten minutes later with a smile from ear to ear and it's simply because their staff is that good. The email that they're closed today shows up after I drove the additional 20 minutes back home. If I would have understood that MOD stood for Major Operational Dysfunction, I probably would have suggested something else for dinner.
