Food is amazing. Small restaurant which makes for a more intimate, family-friendly atmosphere. The owner is a great guy and very hands on and courteous. I live an hour away and would come back just for the food!

Nice little family owned Italian restaurant in West McKinney. They do a brisk takeout business - there was a steady flow of takeout orders the entire time we were dining there. It's small inside but the atmosphere is warm and cozy without feeling to crowded. Order and pay at the counter and then they bring the food to your table. Service was friendly and efficient. I ordered the chicken piccata and really enjoyed it. It tasted fresh and I liked that the white wine lemon sauce was tangy which balanced the creaminess of the dish well. The portion size was decent with two chicken breasts on top of a bed of spaghetti noodles. My partner got the spaghetti and meatballs which was basic, but good. They gave us a basket of rolls - they are huge! It's served with a delicious side of garlic oil. I chatted with another customer while waiting in line who told me her family has been coming here for years. She raved about the chicken pesto and said that's what they always order. Sali's isn't a fancy place by any means but the food is solid and it's totally worth visiting.

Hubby wanted a good Stromboli so Yelp said this was the closest place to try! The bread was amazing! We both wanted the inside temperature of his Stromboli and my calzone to be a little hotter but not a big deal. Friendly counter service but she brought the food out to us. Can't wait to come back and try their pizza next!

Amazing taste great and kind customer service when you have questions they don't get sarcastic and pissed like other places in the past have. Overall Amazing place I would recommend.

Based on my initial review, I was thinking it was a stand alone restaurant but this location is in a strip mall with other businesses and restaurant. There are lots of parking spaces in the plaza. This is a small restaurant where you order at the counter and then grab your table. The decor is cute and I really liked the light fixture. They brought Texas sized garlic rolls to the table with garlic infused olive oil. The waitress at the counter and the server were very friendly. The food came out quickly even though they had a hopping take out service. The food was decent. My gluten free pizza with no cheese was ok. The table favorite was actually the olive oil brought for the garlic bread.

Very nice! A guy greeted us(maybe the owner?) he was super welcoming. He got a good attitude and good food. The place is very clean and has pretty ceilings. The portion sizes are good too! We definitely had some left overs.

Does anyone know if their meatballs are frozen? Ordered a sub and it looked and tasted identical to those in my own freezer...The steak in the sandwich was also similar to the bag of fajita steak meat you get at the store?

The Chicken Caesar salad was crisp and fresh, topped with freshly grated Parmesan, which was such a nice touch. The warm, freshly baked bread was amazing, especially dipped in the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We also asked for butter, and it was fresh and paired perfectly with the bread. From the quality of the food to the attention to detail, everything exceeded our expectations. We ordered 2 glasses of wine ($10 for a Sangiovese and $10 for a Chianti), ziti bolognese, and shrimp fra diavolo. We were given complimentary bread with oil and balsamic vinegar (nice touch but I thought the rolls were too doughy). Our meals were good, but not great. Since we've been to Italy, we have a hard time when it's not fresh homemade pasta. More random thoughts about our dining experience: * The restaurant attempts to look high end, but it's not. * It is a good family restaurant that plays only Italian classics for music. * They serve Lavassa coffee. * Bathrooms are clean and look like they belong in an Olive Garden We were the last customers in the restaurant. They didn't rush us out. We drank our wine (ordered another round) and watched the NHL playoffs on the TVs at the bar (they kindly changed the channel for us). Benny, the owner, welcomed his family into the restaurant. It looked like it was his wife and his 2 daughters. They sat at a back table as the employees cleaned and organized the restaurant. I wish the food was better because the service was stellar.

This spot perfectly captures what a great meat market should be--full of character, packed with quality local products, and anchored by some of the best smash burgers around. The burgers are consistently incredible: perfectly crisped edges, juicy centers, and layered with just the right balance of flavors. You can tell there's real intention behind every ingredient. Beyond the food, the market itself adds to the experience. It's a celebration of local vendors and thoughtfully curated goods, making it just as fun to browse as it is to eat. There's an authenticity here that's hard to find--nothing feels generic. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and full of energy, especially in the heart of downtown. It's the kind of place that feels like a treat every time, whether you're bringing friends, family, or just enjoying a casual outing. Service is 1 Food…read moreis 5 That is my rationale for 3 review. Tried this place twice. I will say, the food is good and unique selection of frozen meats and menu items The customer service is not good! A young lady who works there (same person on both visits) is not very friendly! Not inviting with her personality. Rude and seems like customers are bothering her. I chalked it on my first visit as her having a bad day. Not going to judge her on first impression. We a have bad days. Went back for a second visit. She was on the phone with a customer taking an order and was rude and "huffed and puffed" when she got off the phone. While the customer "may" have been difficult, this was my second time seeing her "annoyed" and/or "rude". I grabbed three items from the freezer. Two items had no price tag. Another young lady took the two items and weighed them to place a price tag on them. She did not tell me what she was doing, yet I quickly figured out what she was doing as she grabbed the items without speaking to me. Even though she didn't communicate her actions, I shrugged it off. I was not bothered. Back to the original lady who has now ended her phone call. She begins to ring up my items and takes the label off of the third item, which already had a price tag of $17 (and change). Without saying anything g to me, she takes the tag off the item and rings up the item at $21 and continues adding the other items. Remember, she has said nothing to me as to why she did this AND remember, the item already had a price on it if $17. I stopped her and asked, "Why did you ring me up at a different/higher price?" Her response, "It's wagyu!" Still confused because it was already priced/tagged, I replied, "Ok. It already had a price and you just took it off and didn't say anything to me as to why you did what you did." "Well, it was labeled wrong!" "And how am I supposed to know that and how is that my fault? When I pulled it out of the freezer, it was labeled $17!" I then realized, she had assumed the young lady who weighed and put labels on the other two items had also put the label on this item. She continued, "We have some new employees and they have been labeling some items incorrectly." "So I'm am punished for your (company) mistakes? The label was already in the freezer on item for $17. If that is the price ($21), fine. At a MINIMUM, you could have given me the courtesy of telling me what you were doing instead of just taking it off and changing the price without saying anything to me!" She was quiet for a moment and then said, "If you don't want it, I can take it off. It's the price of the wagyu. There is nothing I can do!" "Yes. There is something you can do, because you just did it! (Making note she changed the price from $17 to $21) I would think you would honor your mistake, and allow the customer (me) the $17 price and inform me of the mistake. Regardless, I still want the wagyu, because I want to try it. That would be the proper way to handle that [situation]." She just looked at me and finished the transaction and asked if I wanted my receipt. Again, very rude interactions both times. I am struggling if I will ever go back. I like this place and want to support the local business. She has just rubbed me the wrong way, so I am jaded. Maybe if she isn't there next time, I will go inside. If she is there I might just leave. LOL
