My brother-in-law recommended this place for dinner and I was very excited about the Caspian pizza I selected. I sat with my daughter as my boyfriend ordered our food. The guy taking his order asked him what cheese he wanted for the pizza and he told them to make it just how it comes because I specifically told him I didn't want modifications. The pizza comes with mozzarella, gorgonzola, BBQ chicken, BBQ sauce, and sliced red onions, which sounded amazing. However, while eating it I thought maybe I didn't pick the best pizza, because it was good but the cheese was very strong and almost overpowered the taste of everything else. I'm not a big cheese person and didn't know what gorgonzola was supposed to taste like but I compared the flavor to Blue Cheese. That was when my boyfriend said it was blue cheese because that's what the guy told him was on the pizza and he innocently responded "Okay." I told him that was not the cheese that was supposed to be on it (which explained the off taste), but at that point, I was halfway through my personal-sized pizza already. It wasn't horrible, but I wish I got the pizza how it was supposed to be made. I'm not sure how the guy behind the counter didn't know the correct cheese for the pizza, but I will chuck it up with him either being new or pressured to rush because it was getting very busy with a long line. I love MOD Pizza, but I will not come back to this location until it's under new management or until 99% of the staff is replaced. The last time I was here was a less-than-desirable experience: there were a couple of people behind the counter to make pizzas, and one of them cared more about his cell phone than the couple of customers in line. Once he finally did come over, he asked the usual beginning questions, put the dough on a flat sheet, then left it there. He walked away, and pulled his cell phone out of his pocket. One of his coworkers started assembling my pizza. It was slow going, and stopping/switching to a different task/back to my pizza. Another employee came out of the back room, wearing headphones. Put something on the counter, then returned to the back -- all while there's a growing line of customers. My pizza finally got placed in the oven. At this point, Mr. Cell Phone Employee had hopped his backside up on a little counter against the back wall (yes, in the food prep area)...scrolling on his cell phone. Service is terrible, by far the worst mod pizza I have ever been to. Larger black gentleman barely put any of the toppings and when asked for more started asking questions such as "you like pepperonis huh?" And claiming he couldn't when the pizza is clearly infinite toppings. The seats we attempted to sit in were also dirty and the restaurant was empty at dinner time. Man, I honestly don't even know where to begin. I waited over an hour for an online order because the employees working were too busy talking to make the order. Then when they did finally make the order, they tried giving me someone else's after I told them several times that it wasn't my order, only to find out they pulled the wrong ticket again, and made the wrong pizza. We visited this Mod Pizza location because it's a little closer to our house, but NEVER AGAIN! The staff was actively disengaged...everyone had a "just shoot me" look on their face, and it showed in their work. Their appearance was slovenly, the service was slow, the toppings on the serving line weren't fresh, they burned 3 of our 4 pizzas, the Coke Zero machine was out of syrup, and the dining room needed cleaning. It's not that the place was busy - we were the only ones there, and there were only a couple on-line orders on the rack. These employees just truly didn't give a sh*t and it showed. Tip - drive the extra couple miles and visit the Custer Rd location. The difference is like night and day! read more

i don't mean to give this location a bad rep, my complaint goes out to all of mods. when you order though the app you have to spend a minimum of $15, i always order the unlimited topping thick crust which is about $14 and $20-$24 after fees and taxes, but i have to order a drink or the no name cake to get my food delivered. its cheaper to order just the pizza through doordash. on top of that, you can no longer order an unlimited topping pizza through the app, but you can through doordash, and again its cheaper. even though mods uses doordash to deliver their items. this is incredibly inconvenient and just stupid business. why take the most sold item off your delivery menu? fucking idiots read more

I wish I could give zero stars. They never started my order. Instead, they argued with each other about who would make the order. Then they yelled at each other about putting pizza in the oven. After waiting for 15 mins till the previous customer's order was in the oven (a team effort) they inform me that they were out of mushrooms! Gaah. First time ordering here and the price was not worth it. We got three pizzas, one pepperoni mushroom, one cheese and one vegetarian and gluten free. The vegetarian, gluten free was the most pricey and burnt. Way too thin and not flavorful. I've included a picture. Pretty disappointed. I'd like to update my review. Should've read the recent reviews before ordering. This place has gone downhill unfortunately. Outside of the crust was hard, but the center was mushy. Asked for the wings extra wet, didn't happen. This was our first experience with MOD Pizza, and definitely won't be our last. We've seen the shops around, but just hadn't stopped by. Tonight, we ordered delivery (fulfilled by DoorDash). My girlfriend and I each chose a different pizza; the Diego for her, and a full-on custom for me, with bacon, pepperoni, beef, Greek olives, red onions, roasted garlic, bell peppers, and asiago and mozzarella with a balsamic fig drizzle. Her pizza was tasty and not "fussy", letting the flavor of the crust and sauce shine through, whereas mine was more complicated but definitely delicious. The roasted garlic was a little strong; I might leave it out next time, but overall, it was super good. For a sweet treat, I ordered a couple of "no name cakes", and wow. This is NOT just some kind of afterthought dessert that tastes like it was made a month ago and a thousand miles away. It's like a very, very good Hostess Ding Dong, only more gourmet in flavor and texture. These could be served in fine restaurants and not be out of place. They're just that good, don't pass them up. MOD Pizza is always tasty and on target. If you are in a hurry, make sure to call ahead or order online. Otherwise, you'll have to actually wait for the pizza to cook. I'm not sure what the new way of doing business at MOD Pizza in this Covid-19 world we live in, but they appear to be open for at least take out for sure. The location is super convenient and easy to get to. I usually get the "Mad Dog" and I suggest it if you are a meat lovers kind of pizza eater. You can, of course, create your own. They make 11 inch pizzas, which are good if you are really hungry. If you aren't starving, you can easily share 1 pizza with someone. read more

I placed a mobile order at 6:20pm to pick up 2 pizzas for my daughter and I. I walk in at 6:25 knowing that I'm going to wait like 10 minutes because that's what my receipt said. A couple more mobile orders walk in and still no pizza. Twenty then THIRTY minutes pass by still no pizza. By 7 they finally finish my pizza and it is burnt to a crisp! They offered to make another one and I asked how long that would take since I already waited for so long for my first one and they said it would be a while. I tell them I want a refund. Absolutely TERRIBLE!! I called to tell the manager my Vegan (non meat/no dairy) pizza had standard sausage on it rather than vegan plant based. Normally I would let it slide, but I had already eaten multiple slices of the pie and felt it prudent to let someone know this is a pretty serious mistake. When I called, the person, who identified themselves as the manager, offered NO form of apology whatsoever, only an excuse. I wish I had come here before I chose to go to MOD pizza McKinney North! Because NEGATIVE STARS IS WHAT THIS LOCATION DESERVES! Omg! Terrible service. The workers were at a back table eating and there was a teenager and toddler there. So I'm assuming that was one of the workers kids because there were backpacks and pizzas all over the back table. I understand some people may not have childcare and that could have been her way to come to work, by bringing her children after they were out of school, but still! No one said welcome in, hi, nothing! Not greeting what so ever! There was only 1 person behind the counter at first and the other two ladies were over there by the kids. Behind the drink wall. The service was below unsatisfactory. The workers were slow and had very dismissive attitudes. I purchased 4 pizzas and the crust was burnt on all 4 of them to the point my kids spit it out and refused to eat it. I flipped the pizza over and saw the black crust. That made me remember that one of the ladies had a hard time getting the pizzas out of the oven, that's probably why all of our pizzas were inedible. I also purchased a bottled soda, took a sip and noticed it was flat. I took it back to the counter and told the worker who checked me out. She went to the manager and I saw the manager tell her, "what's the sell by date?! They aren't expired!" The girl still went to the back and got me a new one because she saw that the Best By Date was Aug 27, 2024. Another worker stopped her and said no there is nothing wrong with this drink. Then she turned to me and said... ma'am there's a box of these and the dates are right. I said I understand they come in a box with the dates on them, but today is Aug 30th and the best by date on this drink is Aug 27th. I took a sip and it's flat. All of these drink have the same date and are expired. She then said to me... what?! You want a fountain drink. I said no I want a bottled root beer. She then said there's nothing I can do. I said well is there a customer service number I can call because y'all are selling flat expired drinks and the customer service is terrible. She then pointed to the manager and said go talk to her, she's the general manager. I said really? Ok and left. This establishment is terrible! The other MOD pizzas we've gone to have not been like this. I wouldn't be surprised if this location gets an overhaul, if not it'll be shut down.
