What a gem! A friend chose Cavalli's as her birthday restaurant and I'd never been. I am so glad she introduced me to this incredibly tasty place! I am not a huge pizza lover because being dairy free usually means dry crust with crummy toppings, but not at Cavalli's! The service was incredible and the pizza just as amazing. I ordered a Build Your Own, adding all sorts of yummy veggies and skipping the cheese. This was by far one of the greatest cheese-free pizzas I've ever had. It's been three days and I'm still dreaming about the pizza. The crust was perfect, the sauce was the best balance and the toppings were plentiful and fresh. Three of my friends ordered the Arugula and Prosciutto pizza and loved theirs as well. I devoured every last crumb, I couldn't help myself. I just came here for the first time, order the dallas pizza & added goat cheese as this is an option on their menu. There place is pretty small and our servers goes to ask his manager or something if this is okay and he just laughs and over hear him say like goat cheese? Personally thought it was rude right after I ordered the food as this is an option on their menu. Maybe you should have conversations a little bit quieter and not so close to tables since this place is so small. Pizza was good and especially with goat cheese so maybe you should try it. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Staff was friendly except for the hostess. The food was excellent. I ordered the Tuscan beef stracatto with Parmesan risotto. It was nothing fancy but it was the most flavorful meal I have had in a long time. The Parmesan risotto was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. The calamari was delicious. I'm honestly surprised this place has even 4 stars to begin with. Me and my girlfriend came in for our anniversary and were immediately hit by a sense of dread coming from the lady at the front, barely made eye contact, mumbled the whole time and then took us to our table, I work food service so i understand but seriously not even a hello? Once we got to our table we noticed it was only us, 2 family's getting ready to leave, and one in the middle of the meal, all of us were sitting in the same section so I assumed we would be ok. Took almost 10 minutes just to be greated and given our food. Once we ordered it only took 5 minutes for our food to come out, was skeptical but it looked good. Took one bite and pulled the longest black hair out of my mouth I've ever seen, took another 8 minutes of waiting until I flagged over a busser to get the managers attention who seemed to be more busy conversing with the hostess then checking on his restaurant, we left. Love this place now that it has reopened! Went there on a Sunday evening for dinner - it was busy but we still got great service. There was live music on the patio which was fun. I had the bolognese, and my husband had the short rib risotto. They were both excellent. The Cavalli salad was yummy as well. Fellas this is chick food for pizza. We left hungry. My son ordered fettuccine Alfredo. It came in a cereal size bowl and it was only filled halfway. I asked the waiter if we had mistakenly ordered the child's size. We didn't, they just served him one and half cups of noodles and charged us $15. The pizza is very good!!! The service of our large party lunch was also very good. However, I learned about this place from a women's group. We had a lunch there, they had us in their private room, it was a lovely first impression. Fast forward a few months, we had a standing bookclub meeting there, last month they randomly closed and didn't even notify our group of this unexpected closure. Got a table outside only to be disappointed that some of those at the table were looking at the back entrance to the kitchen and dumpsters. Ordered drinks and some calamari to start off with. Calamari was good, tasted fresh and not rubbery. Liked the fact that they were baby calamari. Breading was a little on the thick side and flavor of the marinara was nice. We had 2 pizza's as that is what they are known for according to our waiter. All in all the pizzas were tasty, good flavor and pleasant to see the amount of tomato base was kept in check. This pizza is some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. It's so good. It's worth the trip out here. The crust is fantastic; it is crunchy yet doughy. The cheese is perfect and I loved the fresh basil. We also got the focaccia bread as an appetizer which came with cheese and rosemary on top. It also had a side of marinara sauce, which I thoroughly enjoyed with the bread. If you can, try to save room for the bread. You won't regret it! It's just as delicious as the pizza. This little pizzeria is firstly, so cute inside. I remember there was a wall mural and you can see the kitchen where they make the pizzas. It had such a cozy feeling. Decided to try this place because it's been on our list a while and what better to do on a Tuesday night than try a new place? We started off with the Mozzarella Fritta and Arancini for appetizers. We couldn't decide so ordered both. The fried mozzarella was delicious and the marinara was full of flavor and nice and light, not heavy. The Arancini was delicious too but seemed to be la king something, I think some ran h would have been great with it but was afraid to ask because I didn't want to insult by asking for ranch. Maybe if there was more of the green sauce that came on them that would have been that missing addition. For our meal we decided on a Pizza, The McKinney...Salamino, Hot Capicolla, Italian Sausage and Basil, also fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce. This thing was amazing!!! We loved the thin crust and how it wasn't crispy like a cracker. The pizza was 6 slices, we each had 2 and were stuffed. If we hadn't gotten the appetizers we probably could have finished it off. For drinks I had a beer and my wife had a margaritas, the marg was delicious!!! I'd recommend this place and we plan on going back, putting this in our rotation of pizza joints. read more

Oh, my gosh. This place is WORTH the drive. First: everyone was masked, all things were clean and carefully spaced, and there is no in-house dining.
