I have always had a good experience with MOD pizza but today was a genuine disappointment. I ordered 3 pizzas for takeout through the app, and how was every pizza incorrect? if i could give them a 0 star i would. Oh what can I say... I have always loved MOD pizza since they first came to the Seattle area. However, I wonder when they stopped putting cheese on their pizzas? No joke, a few weeks ago I ordered a Dillan James and asked for extra basil and feta. Surprised to find when I got home that the only things on my pizza (if you can call it a pizza) were just the basil and feta on a crust! I was really disappointed and had to drive back to get my order straightened out. After waiting in line for 15 minutes the pizza was remade and it was great! Went back last week, ordered the Dillon James again, and it was again a disappointment. They forgot to cut the pizza which is weird, and had a minuscule amount of sauce, cheese and basil. Delivery review Nobody's going to confuse these guys with super-gourmet food, but they pretty much let you pick whatever you want on everything you order, they work quickly, and they are amazingly consistent. After probably 20+ lunches since before the pandemic, I don't think they've made a single mistake on any of my orders. The Speedway spot is my home location for deliveries, but I've never visited. I've been to the Mill Creek one, which is perfectly fine for a corporate fast-food place, and they all look the same from what I can see. So I'm taking nothing away from them for the dining room. Salads I get a huge chop salad almost every time. it definitely suits my meal plan. The only really starchy thing in the chop is the chickpeas, and you can subtract or add any ingredient you want, even ordering from a delivery app. Even without dressing, their salads are easy to finish. I really appreciate black olives and salami as salad ingredients. I still remember the first time I tried it, years ago, and I've never lost that feeling like this is something I should've been eating all along. Mad Dog This is my pizza, every time, in a personal size and on whatever their thinnest crust is. The crust is crisp and probably half as thick as a Saltine, if that. The toppings are flavorful, and the cheese is decent. I never feel compelled to add cheese or pepper flakes. It shows up hot 'cause it's maybe a mile from my house. I'll drive an awfully long way for a really fancy pizza, but I'm happy to tap a few things into my phone and have a decent pizza on my porch in 15 minutes, too. Very disappointed at my visit today on evergreen mod pizza. I ordered a mod pizza that was not very hot. I asked them to heat it up. They said they could not do that since it had alado been sliced. The employees seemed disorganized with their orders as in online orders not even made when the customers come to pick them up. Or like my pizza being pulled out of the oven and just sitting there along with 3 others for almost 10 minutes. I watched a pizza come out of the oven and fall straight to the floor. Wow! I just had my third opportunity to enjoy a pizza at MOD - this time at the BEST location that I've tried so far in our area! I had the super Shroom, my wife enjoyed the Tristan (vegetarian), and my son devoured the Mad Dog, all in the 11" size. (Gotta warn 'ya, folks - the 11" size (MOD) is probably plenty enough for two middle aged folks to share and it definitely stuffed our 24 y/o son to the brim!) Maid On Demand?? NO Mad On Demand. I was bullied, yelled at, and served cold pizza. I wish there is minus stars to give for the hellish experience I had. I went tonight to the Mukilteo location with my four years old son we ordered a pizza and chocolate milk. They told me it will be ready within 20 minutes due to the number of orders they have. After 30 minutes I saw 3 groups of people who showed up after me picking up their orders and leave, so I went to check with the guy who hand the pizzas to the customers and his reaction was so uncalled for. He started yelling at me, slamming his working tools and boxes on the table, questioning me if I even paid or waited in line. I was so shocked and embarrassed I went speechless that I couldn't recall my simple order. I was struggling to calm down myself and comfort my son who was asking "Mom why this guy is yelling at us? I want to go home." One of the coworkers told him that I waited in line and paid. After another episode of yelling and slamming, he found my order laying somewhere in the back. When I got the box there was a piece of fries on the box and the pizza was cold. One of the staff offered me a free piece of cake but I refused to accept it and when I left a gentleman was so nice that he waited outside and said that he has no right to talk to you like that. I spent my way home crying silently trying to hide it from my son. OMG we finally have a MOD!!! I have written several MOD reviews so I won't go on and on but the MOD concept is great. The closest MOD was Lynnwood so one in my backyard is so exciting. The best thing about this location is the rabbit turd ice!!! They have ice just like Sonic - teeny and crunchy and awesome. The staff is super friendly and this location has a lot of seating. Haven't been here since the last time I said I wasn't going back. I've had pizzas that were overdone and borderline burnt here many times and have always gotten them comped or replaced. This time we got our pizzas home and one was done decently and the other was so undercooked that it was inedible. The hot honey we ordered to finish our pizzas leaked out all over everything the pizza boxes touched. Maybe it's been a while since I've been here, but apparently they have never offered blue cheese dressing according to the pizza finishing dude. To add insult to injury our pizzas weren't even cut. First of all I want to say I am a big fan of MOD pizza. My daughter and I always go to the one on 164th so you could imagine we were excited that they were opening up a MOD in Mukilteo where we live! We entered the new MOD and it was nice in there. That's where the good things end for me. First when we ordered the guy was short with us and they were not that busy. As they were making the pizza it looked like they were not putting very much sauce or cheese but I figured they know what there doing. When the pizza came out the guy who was giving them to us seemed put out that my daughter wanted a drizzle on hers. We got them to go and we got home to eat them they were both semi burnt and like I had suspected they were very chintzy on the toppings. It literally like eating burnt cardboard! I'm baffled by how this is considered pizza. I decided to try something new and when I picked up my "pizza" I got something resembling a tostada with pizza toppings on it. Now, I will say that it didn't taste bad. The flavor was fine, it just didn't satisfy my craving for pizza because it was't a pizza. My older son is a pizza loving fool and the look of confusion on his face when I got home and opened the boxes was priceless. The amount of people who rave about this "pizza" place is so strange to me. If it were just called Mod and did something different without advertising itself as pizza place I would be less confused. Whether you like New York style thin crust, or Chicago style deep dish or anything in between, I have never seen anything resembling this being called pizza. Although I cannot say there is anything revolutionary about their concept or what they are doing with pizza, I can say that what they are doing they are doing very well. Most of the customers in the Mukilteo location are new or first time customers so they get a little confused about the service model, which can lead to long lines. That will correct itself in due time though. Once you make it to the counter you are greeted with an energetic and friendly staff that seems to really enjoy what they do. The menu and offerings are large enough to allow you get very creative with your pizza if you do not want to go with one of their standards. Everything is made right in front of you and you literally watch them prepare your meal before it goes into the oven. There are lots of pizza options in Mukilteo, the only place I would say is possibly as good as MOD is Brooklyn Brothers. Bite of New York is also in the conversation. The wide variety of options, friendly staff and comfortable environment is what gives MOD a competitive advantage. Even though the pizza market is saturated with options in Mukilteo, I will definitely return to MOD very often. read more
