So I did a review on this place years ago and it was not good. Mostly because of the management treating the employees badly not only in front of customers but just in general, I have worked in customer service my whole life, you don't do that, but also because of the use of canned mushrooms and Crappy everything. I really love a sandwich with sautéed mushrooms and the use of canned is not the same at all. I have recently ordered from here again to give it a second try and I was pleasantly surprised that it was by far better than the first time and I have ordered from there again since then. They have large, tasty sandwiches. I like that they are steamed since we don't have that other places. They are always friendly. Sometimes it takes a while for my food to be made. They have a Freestyle soda machine. There are a bunch of tables. It's clean and bright inside. The parking lot is pretty difficult to get in and out of. It can be very annoying and take a while. However, once you are in the lot, there is a lot of parking available. read more

we have ordered subs and soup at this locagion twice a month for over a year. The quality has dropped. the last month sandwiches have been toasted black and burned charcoal. We let it go once. Three days ago it happened agsin. We live a half hour away and driving back is not an option. We sent pictures, complained to corporate, we were told the manager would follow up. But he/she has not. This review is for both yesterday and today's visit. Yes, I enjoyed it so much yesterday that I came back today! Yesterday I discovered that I had enough points for a free sandwich (Yea!), so I ordered the Italian, which I'd never had before. I didn't think I'd like the dressing on it, but it was very good. All in all the total for my meal was under $5 with chips and a drink. I love that you can choose any size drink and it's the same price. Today I returned to take advantage of the triple point offer and opted for the Turkey Bacon Ranch. It too was very good. The downside of this place is that the subs are really small, but the price is big. On a previous visit, I thought about ordering a large sub instead of a medium, but $10 is insane, even for good food. Yes, I'll definitely be back. I wish there was a location closer to me as it's a bit of a drive (although luckily I found a way to get here that allows me to avoid the highway. One other thing I don't like about this location is that it's not very accessible. There are stairs to every entrance of every building which is unfortunate, since I have a hard time with those. I noticed that there "may" be an accessible entrance in the corner of the 'strip mall' , but it's very hidden. Very unfortunate that it most likely deters those with disabilities due to the lack of accessibility. Another thing I wanted to point out was the employee who took my order. He was civil, but I wouldn't really call him customer service oriented. There are so many aps for rewards points at different restaurants that I get confused. The reason I went there today is because of the triple points, but I was having trouble remembering how to receive the points (via ap or entering my phone number). The guy got really annoyed when I gave him my phone number after ordering and told me that I was supposed to do it beforehand. I apologized and he was nice about canceling the order and letting me give my phone number again. It would be nice if they would ask if you wanted to enter your phone number for rewards points, since the company made the effort to email customers about them in the first place. I went here last year to get my free birthday sub (join the club and they email you the free sub notice). I like that there is a nice Firehouse theme to this place and they have some charity they support when you buy a water or something like that. The interior is decorated nicely and the staff is friendly. The food was good, not great. I gave it 3 stars since unfortunately it feels just like the franchise that it is. I'm normally a tuna or BLT person, since they didn't have either option online, I went with the Club in a Sub. Holy hell, their ham is the best I've ever had. The mustard was superb. I absolutely LOVED the cardboard clamshell containers. I didn't have to wrassle with unwrapping a goopy paper mess! The bread is THE BEST. So fresh, light, delicious. Even though the sub was hot, the bread didn't tear up the roof of my mouth! One thing they need to improve on (share this with your IT person) is that when you change the sandwich size, it apparently deletes all your modifications for the sandwich. I spent time changing cheese, wanting extra Mayo, adding sautéed peppers and onions, no raw onions, only to get the regular menu item. Nutritional information is listed for every item served. Firehouse deals mainly in specialty subs. The sandwich topping bar is not visual to the customers like it is at Subway or Quizno's. There are only two bread choices: white or wheat. A hot sauce bar is offered for those who like heat. I ordered the medium (8") fully loaded (mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion & a dill pickle spear) Hook & Ladder on wheat for $6.49: Smoked turkey breast, honey ham and Monterey Jack cheese. I added a bag of Mrs. Vickie's jalapeno chips for $1.29. My wife ordered a medium (8") custom sandwich on white bread for $6.49: turkey breast, Swiss cheese and mayo. She was also given a dill pickle spear. She added a bag of Frito's to her meal for $1.29. When we arrived at home, both sandwiches were still warm. I was delighted to see that our pickle spears were individually wrapped in a plastic baggie to avoid pickle juice seeping onto our sandwiches. We both really enjoyed our lunch choices and felt that the 8" sandwich length is the perfect portion size for each of us.
