As we walked in, we saw a sign that said restrooms are for paying customers, which was completely fine, we fully intended to order something. When we entered, we were asked what we needed, and I explained that the girls were going to use the restroom while we placed an order. Unfortunately, one of the younger employees immediately responded with a very negative attitude and said, in front of us, that we shouldn't be allowed to use the restroom. It was honestly surprising and off-putting. The older employee had to repeat multiple times that if we were ordering, it shouldn't be an issue. Despite that, while my friend took the girls to the restroom, they were hovered over and watched, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable, especially considering these were small children. Overall, the interaction left a really bad impression. I understand having policies, but the way this situation was handled lacked basic courtesy and made us feel unwelcome.
