First time trying Alex and the pizza was pretty good. Very cheesy and flavorful. More on the floppy side for me, especially with the one topping pizzas. The works pizza with all the meat and green peppers held up better. The wings were very yummy though and had a great crunch. Overall a pretty good place for New York style pizza and wings. read more

This food is so good!! My husband and son had been a few weeks ago and kept raving about it so we stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. This place did not disappoint. The slice of pepperoni pizza did remind me of a slice of New York pizza. The chicken pesto pasta was so good and so was everything we tried, the mozzarella sticks, wings, and garlic bread with cheese and marinera sauce. Ordered garlic knots expecting legit garlic knots, you know, the bread that's been tied in a knot and is decent size. What I received was more like garlic. Only recently-ish started coming here, but we really enjoy it! Straight away, the decor has that no-nonsense, "we're fancy because we ain't fancy" New Yoha-ka (my best attempt at the accent LOL) decor, I love it! Had a chance to make small-talk with one of the family on a previous visit, super nice legit New Yorker, fits like a glove here! The food's great, right on the expectation bullseye. Service is always people you'd love to find in a place like this, friendly. Wait times are not super-fast, but "in proportion with the quality", made to order. We've had most the pizzas, the calamari, various breads, etc, and they're all recommended (by me!!)! The large pizza is a whopper, each slice is as big as those "pizza by the slice" places you'd see in the mall in the 80s, that'll give you a sense of scale. And seasoned so nice, you can see in the pics. The salads, I gotta be fair, are their weak spot (IMO), they're not at all bad, they're fresh, just ultra simple/straight forward. But they at least have some. No biggie. Their cheesecake totally makes up for it LOL! This isn't the place to be on some aggressive diet, but if you don't tell, I won't tell. HEHEHE! Love Ya, Alex's! My husband and I decided to try this place due to the convenient location to our house. We ordered a small white pizza, chicken Alfredo, two soft drinks, a side Caesar salad and a cheesecake. I read after the fact that this place is BYOB! Definitely something to keep in mind for next time. Drinks: They have pebble (sonic) ice! That's a plus for me on its own haha Bread: The rolls and slices of bread were really good. They come before your meal and are served warm. Caesar salad: We inhaled it before I could take a picture! The salad was good, the dressing was great. Chicken Alfredo pasta: The pasta was good, but not amazing. It is on par with comparable places nearby but didn't have a wow factor for me. Pizza: I ordered a small white pizza. When I think small, I'm think 4-6 slices. This was way more than that haha luckily, I am someone who enjoys leftovers. This place claims that they serve "New York style pizza" so I was expecting a pizza with super thin crust. However, that was not what I got. The crust is similar in thickness to a Papa Johns pizza. Flavor wise, it was good, but not amazing. I've definitely had better white pizza before. The tomatoes on top also seemed like an afterthought to me due to them literally just being thrown on top of the pizza, uncooked. Cheesecake: Cheesecake was cooked perfectly, good crust and consistency. I would order this again! The gentleman at the counter seems upbeat and friendly. He treated every customer as if he knew them personally. That was nice to see. The place was clean, outside of a few flies and gnats that were noticeable, but it's the summer time in Texas so it's inevitable. The door was busy with people coming in and out for pickup orders. We did just walk in and order, it took about 20-30 mins for our small pepperoni pizza, garlic knots, and single veggie slice to come out. There were probably 5-6 to-go pickups that were served before our meal, so order before hand even if you eat there. It will take a minute for your order to be prepared. So we are using the "one bite" idea of pizza rating. My husband gave it a 6.8. He is not a fan of the extra Parmesan cheese on top. I gave it a 6.2. I thought the crust was ok, I liked the crispness of the bottom and the softness of the inside however, I thought the sauce lacked flavor. There was an ample amount of cheese. Came in around 330 was greeted by the friendly girl that took our order. She was patient and explained if I had a question. Before I even made it to the table with my drink she was following with my salad which was delish. Garlic knots came out hot and fresh! They were soooo good I could have ate the whole Basket. I think the owner was the one to deliver them and he was very personable and even got into a conversation with my youngest about kindergarten. Marinara was great! Ranch was great! The pizza... GUYS. We've been looking for good pizza close to home in the Alliance area. After reading some reviews we ordered online to pickup. I think it's fairly new and seemed clean when I walked in to pick it up. A little pricey for just a large "works" or supreme at $27. We also got a piece of cheesecake though. When you're ordering takeout or delivery pizza I'm always concerned about the pizza getting messed up. It was hot and in great shape when I got it. Ready to go when I got there too. Got it home quickly and it was still very warm. Our first bites I was pleasantly surprised. Good flavors and cooked well. Seemed like some of the ingredients were canned vs fresh. This pizza place faces North Tarrant Parkway, right next door to a Subway and close to Aldi's. They're open 6 days a week, only closed on Mondays. I like Alex's for many reasons. The first is that they sell pizza by the slice. Secondly, it's thin crust which has a special place in my heart. Thirdly, they offer both green olives and black olives as toppings. The slice of pepperoni on a seasoned thin crust was magnificent. They have both table and booth seating if you choose to dine in. I am definitely going to be a regular here. Stopped for lunch. Figured I'd try the pizza so ordered two slices with mushrooms and sausage and a side salad. So, maybe it's because I ordered slices instead of whole pizza but when it came out 5 mins later, they used crumbled sausage (not a fan) and the fresh mushrooms were not cooked. Have been here several times, and it's been okay. But this time at dine-in, the customer service was absolutely terrible. Dined for two and each ordered their own pizza. One came out and we were told the other would come in 3-5 min. Well 15 min goes by and still had not been given the other pizza. I asked to go ahead and put it in a to-go box at that point since the friend had already half finished theirs. Then they bring it out and said it took long due to them having to remake it. I open the box and it has an extra topping that I never asked for and have never ordered on my pizza. I ask and then they said oh it's because the new girl didn't repeat the order back. Then I asked if I was charged for this extra topping and then I was told I said that I wanted this extra topping... I think I know that I have ordered the same pizza for as long as I can remember! I couldn't believe it. No desire by the staff to "make it right" or refund this extra topping mistake or anything... I enjoyed this place before and endured the long wait times from previous visits, but I will never ever come back here if this is how they treat their customer for their own mistakes. I ordered a hamburger and onion pizza and a salad with creamy Italian dressing. For some reason, creamy Italian dressing is hard to find at the grocery store so I always order it when I find it at a restaurant. The salad was OK but the dressing was very odd. Normally, creamy Italian dressing is yellow and kind of tangy from vinegar. This was an odd shade of orange and kind of sweet. I didn't care for it. The pizza was OK and I ate a couple of pieces, but it wasn't anything outstanding. The CRUST had kind of an odd texture. It wasn't New York style, and it wasn't deep dish or hand tossed. It was kind of meh. There are many other pizza places to choose from, so I doubt that I'll ever be back here. read more

A very yummy meal! The staff is friendly, especially the chef (maybe the owner?) in the back. He made sure to ask how everything was and had great energy. The pizza crust was perfect for our preference. Not too thin where the toppings fall off, and it had a good bite. We also tried their wings (not pictured), which were very crispy and had good flavor. I will say may have been a little over salted for my taste. But still good! The spaghetti sauce wasn't too acidic, semi-sweet flavor to it, and great flavor. My boyfriend and I were in the mood for some pizza and had stumbled upon this place on Yelp a couple times, so we decided to try it out since it had great reviews. Upon walking in there was nobody inside this establishment but the workers, I was a bit confused but proceeded to order anyways. The lady who helped us looked annoyed to be there and even more annoyed that we were asking her questions about the menu. We decided on a simple pepperoni pizza with mushrooms, and a basil pesto pasta. When we sat down it took the lady approximately 10 minutes to bring us the complimentary bread and butter, and then shortly after brought us our food. Looks wise the pizza looked good, but upon biting into it, I was very disappointed with the lack of flavor in my pizza, it tasted like it barely had any sauce, and the cheese was the type of chesse that falls right off when you bite into it, the mushrooms looked old and tasted even worse, the pizza was also more of a lukewarm temp. And sadly the pasta was an even bigger disappointment as it completely lacked salt or any type of seasoning besides the pesto flavor. Overall you get what you pay for, and although the price was reasonable, my experience wasn't great due to the fact that I had high expectations, we will certainly not be returning. read more
