Pizza was great as usual, but the (new?) manager of this location needs to take a long, hard look at her customer service skills and politeness; came across as arrogant and rude. Ate here around 6:45 PM on 2/9. Walked in with family of 4 - no greeting, as is customary at ANY Mod location. Ok, no biggie. Found a table and went to order. No line; one other couple after me. Great! Asked for 5 pizzas. Employee 1 starts asking about sauce, manager jumps in and wants to finish before I can answer employee 1. Fine the first time. Repeat for second pizza. Now, I'm getting annoyed by the manager's attitude and arrogant tone. The next 2 pizzas were a little topping heavy and I'm sure I skipped a few since I was fuming by the end of the 3rd. At one point, I even told the manager that I'll come down the line for toppings when I'm ready. The whole ordering process was so rushed and made me feel like I was being done a favor. When paying, I asked for a comment card and was told to go to Yelp. While walking out after finishing, I stopped by the cash register and told the manager: "You suggested going to Yelp, but I'll tell you this now. Your service was very unfriendly and I felt rushed when ordering, making this a very unpleasant experience unlike the many times I've eaten before at this location. I'm hoping this is an isolated incident." To which she responded with the classic BS: "It's not an excuse, but it's been very busy...I'm sorry." Maybe they were busy in the back or somewhere else but not when I was the first in line to order with just one other couple after me. Also, still no reason for this kind of behavior; I've been in out-the-door lines here with 2 kids and still come away happy and smiling. I also think that this is a new team here; I didn't recognize a single employee from my last visit (in Dec 2016). Parting words for the manager: Mod pizza is about "gratitude with attitude." This place just opened up and have been giving out free samples. My husband checked it out last weekend w/positive comments and so I decided to have lunch there today and give it a go. I was very impressed!! Unique concept, seemingly all the toppings you want for the same price, personal pizzas, very quickly prepared, and most importantly, excellent thin crust pizza. Great selection of toppings too. I think this place is set above from the standard fare in the area, or at least other pizza places we've tried. Fun vibe as well with a full selection of beer/wine. It would be great for lunch or evening. Also, the size and attractive price point make it possible to get your own pizza or share a few pies between you. There's also a smaller option which would be good for lighter eaters or a child. We'll definitely be back! read more

I've been to MOD Pizza twice in the last two weeks. The first time they messed up my order and I had to wait an extra 5-10 minutes for a replacement pizza. It was pretty busy, so not too unexpected. Most recently there was no problem with the order. My biggest problem with MOD Pizza is the scarcity of toppings. On my most recent pizza there was barely any toppings (mushrooms which should be cheap to put many) and large portions of the pizza were missing cheese. It was not very crowded at the restaurant so that didn't explain it. Next time I may ask them to double every topping just to see if it's better. In the future I'll probably visit Zeek's or Tutta Bella if I'm looking for good pizza close to Redmond. read more

This place has everything! Pizzas are delicious, nice thin crunchy crust and just the appropriate size. Unbelievable selection of ingredients. Make your own salad selection. Simple, quick, thin crust pizzas for a set price, with any toppings you want. The crew seems friendly, they are pretty fast, and the pizzas are good. You can make it the way you want it (made on demand is the name) so overall that's a nice place for a bite. We had a good experience here, within the context of the setting and menu. The good: Friendly staff, fast service, reasonable prices, tasty pizza and salads. They have a customer-satisfaction guarantee posted clearly on the wall: if you don't like your food, they will give you a replacement at no cost to you, with no hassles. That's putting the customer first! The not quite as good: Well, it's rather noisy, which seems to be a trend in many new cafe's and pizzerias. There's simply no acoustical treatment of any kind. Perhaps if we'd chosen a table closer to the front of the restaurant, it would have been a little quieter. Overall, a good experience, and we'll dine here again. read more

This was my first time eating at MOD Pizza. When I came in I wasn't sure where to place the order and an employee working behind the counter saw me but didn't welcome me or tell me where to go, even as I was walking right past him (and the place to order). After some initial confusion and almost getting bypassed for placing my order, I got a Hawaiian mini pizza and garlic strips. The food was really good. It is very fast just as advertised. The price was great, too. I didn't realize it until later that they also have chocolate milkshakes that I'll try out next time I'm there. read more

So the second star is for we had a good pizza and salad. But honestly, I was having a bad day already. Then I walk into mods honestly not expecting much in service to begin with. The girl who helped my mom salad was fine. But then I was wearing a mariners hat (godwilling cause there not in season and it seems to piss people off) but I was cold and you can't really wear a beanie hat in the summer. And this tan dude said "I like ur hat" I said thank you. Then he asked "have you ever been to a mariners came?" And I said yes. Then he asked "nah I haven't yet, need to soon tho, when are they playing" and then he looked to his coworker and starting laughing and whispering and looking up at me for the next 5 mins.I can take a joke, but the way it was handled and them just whispering and gossiping about me standing right there, felt like I was in a high school cafeteria and felt embarrassed. Then, we ordered a milkshake, we waited 10 minutes, so my mom went up and asked about it, (while there on there phones) then they starting bickering on who was suppose to make it. The milkshake and pizza was good. But it was hard to enjoy it with them all laughing like hyenas while just my mom and I in there at 10:30 pm. So lets start out with the size. I was not for sure what to expect with the size, but these pizza's are about ten inches diameter and thin crust. The people there were very nice and cheery, and the service was extremely fast. The Kicker: I am pretty sure they put a garlic butter sauce on their crust before they put the sauce on... If that doesn't have you putting on your coat and heading to the car, well i don't know what will. I first went to Mod pizza in Capital Hill and Bellevue and was totally in love with it. I am soo happy that they made a location is Redmond so close to where I live. Usually you only get 2 of the follow three: service quality, price, and food quality. Mod pizza is rare in that it delivers all 3. Everybody is incredibly friendly for first timers, and I also love their selection of drinks (they also have beer). I love how their pizza's are all thin crust and brick oven baked. It makes me feel so much better eating them that I'm not stuffing my face with some greasebomb. Great atmosphere as well. Anytime my friends are in town, I recommend we go to Mod because it's cheap delicious and you can put whatever you want on your pizza for the picky folks. read more

If I could vote for food only, this place has 5 stars from me, unfortunately, the service was so bad, only one star. I ordered online to avoid long waiting, when I arrived there just to discover they haven't even to start making the pizza. The girl at the counter did not even bother to acknowledge they messed up. My husband and I normally come here at least twice a month (usually more) because we love the pizza and love how quick the service is! Every time we come, the employees are so nice and really want to make our experience as positive as possible. The last 3 times we've been here, we had an employee making our pizza who was so incredibly rude and refused to give us what we wanted because he had to "ration" their ingredients. I don't know his name, but he is a tall man with a lip ring and white hair. We were always so pleased with our experience until we got him, and each time, he is grumpy, rude, never smiles, and does not give us what we ask for. He really should NOT be working in customer service and I hope he does not last long here, as it has tainted our positive view of Mod Pizza. read more

I went for the first time to this place and the staff was very helpful. The atmosphere was good too. Also, I love how you can add multiple pizza toppings for the same price. From living in New York I know two things, pizza and pasta. Although I love my deep dish pizza, I have to say that thin crust pizza is now on my top 5. Not used to someone saying toppings are free! The problem with Mod Pizza is that is just doesn't taste that good. It tastes like one of those Frozen Pizzas you get at Trader Joes, that is pre-cooked and wrapped in plastic, and put in cardboard and shipped from Italy. A frozen pizza can only get so good, and those are not bad frozen pizzas. But a chain that specializes in fresh pizza, don't you think the core product should have characteristics other than "fast"? There is one coming to issaquah. I am not excited. We need better pizza, not more pizza. read more

An update to my review. Admittedly I was rather peeved when I found the wire bristle thus the one star originally. I was also rather surprised when someone from MOD corporate contacted me on Yelp apologizing for the mishap. I was assured that the grill cleaning equipment was replaced. At no time did my contact person suggest it was my fault, nor was there any excuse making. I even acknowledged that my review was rather harsh. And it was in comparison to my other reviews. However, the contact stated that I had the right to be upset about it and again, no excuse making. Now here are my feelings on MOD: I know several people whom are MOD lovers/ like superfans. These people know their perfect topping combo, ect... ect... and absolutely love MOD. I won't go that far, but I will say I think the concept is really cool. The pizza is very good, and fast. I like that I can mix up toppings, or keep it simple. There is something about their BBQ sauce that I can't resist. But I've tried one with red sauce and it was good as well. Out of the several times I've had MOD my favorite so far is the chicken, BBQ, with blue cheese. Next time I'm going to make an attempt at some odd mash up of topping because a friend of mine swears by the: BBQ sauce, pep, pineapple, blue cheese, mozz, onion, something or other that sounds weird to me but he says it's his favorite. But again, that is the "cool" factor I like about MOD. I really enjoy the concept... and I really enjoy the pizza. read more

First off I want to say the food is always good. But this has to do with the service. I just want to mention I emailed the feedback link on their website and the management ignored it so I am writing on Yelp. The guy helping me in the restaurant a few weeks back was sucking on a lollypop as he was helping me which is really gross and a food violation. I couldn't understand him between the lollypop in his mouth and the loud music. I asked for a small salad and pizza to go. There was no one in front of me and no one in back of me. I had one person doing the salad and another doing the pizza at each end of the counter so I had to run back and forth since they were asking me questions at the very same time. When I got my pizza, the girl shoved it at me and walked away, ignoring my questions and more interested in talking to the other employees. This is really to bad since the food is so good, but management should know about this kind of stuff. Judging by how they don't care about feedback, it doesn't sound like they care. read more
