    Poggio piccante

The Poggio Piccante pizza was stupid good. I could taste the fresh tomatoes and mozzarella, and the bread-to-topping ratio was perfect. One of the Neapolitan pizzas I've had around here. There isn't traditional table service as you pick up your pizza and bus your own table. I think most people order to-go. There is limited seating but you can always take it into their neighboring restaurant, Jack Sprat.

We used to love Pizza Poggio for their consistently high-quality pizzas, and we've ordered from them many times because of that. Unfortunately, this time was a major disappointment--the quality has noticeably dropped, even compared to regular pizza chains. We ordered two pizzas: the Boscaiola and the Chicken Sausage Lasagna Pizza. The Boscaiola came with plain white mushrooms and whole olives while their photo featured portobello mushrooms and dandelion greens. The presentation and ingredients just didn't match what was advertised. The lasagna pizza was also undercooked. The dough was slimy instead of having the crisp, chewy texture it's supposed to. It really felt like a completely different pizza from what we used to enjoy. I'm not sure if there's been a change in ownership or if this was just due to poor execution in the kitchen, but unfortunately, I don't think we'll be ordering from here again based on this experience.

Parking was confusing and hard to come by. I ended up climbing some stairs and parking a street over. Cheese pizza was a lil too salty. Pepp was OK. I think it's just OK. The sauce had a lil kick to it but overall the price wasnt worth what you got in my opinion. Online ordering was easy and it was ready and waiting for me. I think if you work at microsoft and want to take a stroll then it's convenient , but unless I missed a parking garage- its just street parking and you still have to make your way up the hill to the actual pizza window. Maybe Ill try again in the summertime and eat outside. There were lil seating areas and plenty of grass area for pet walking etc. Pizza is also the kind where it needs to be hot to enjoy. It's not like a round table slice or Pagliacci where it's good even an hour later. Overall, it was just Meh for me. Maybe if the cheese had more cheese on it and less salty? I want to like it more just because we need more pizza places that are original around here. Will Update review after another visit as I really want to give it more stars.

*New pizza spot opened up in the Verde Esterra Park area as a sister / extension of the Jack Sprat. If I lived near by, I would probably eat here a lot. Service is excellent, the staff really seem passionate about the community and getting to know people. The Pizza was excellent, really high quality ingredients you can taste. The crust was really tasty, thin with a good chew. Everything is made in-house. The menu was fun featuring slushes and soft serve. As part of the proximity to Jack Sprat you can also order food and beverages from there as well, was able to get some pastries and coffee. The space is nice and open, right in the middle of the park area, great for outdoor dining, kids, and pets. They have some limited seating under cover in case it rains. *They just opened so they seem to be figuring out a few things, I expect some things to adjust with time.

    10 inch pizza: tiny

Portion sizes don't seem to be correct. I ordered the 10 inch cheese pizza and this is what I got....

rating the soft serve only: doesn't taste that good, icey consistency that melted quickly and the presentation was also bad. looked like a puddle of mud. definitely not high quality. also, they spent 15 minutes cleaning the machine when i arrived

No, really, it sells out. My friend and I visited for happy hour, when they have stellar deals with three pizzas for less than 20 bucks and drinks for less than 10 bucks as the menu is normally on the steeper side, especially for the pizza. I ordered the Feelin' Peppi pizza, which is basically a pepperoni pizza and my friend had the Happy Gal pizza, which was a mushroom base with garlic and different cheeses. We each drank a glass of sangria, which was strong, which is how I like my booze! The pizzas take a bit to make since everything is freshly made - and is worth the wait. The crust is crispy but soft enough to sink your teeth into and the pizza has tons of flavor. It's easy to finish a pizza on your own because of how flavorful it is. Although the happy hour is a deal you cannot beat, all the other pizzas on their standard menu are worth checking out at full price, especially their weekend specials, like the NY style pizza and Detroit style. Both of these specific kinds of pizza sell out as people usually wait before the place opens, I kid you not. It's that popular here. Despite how popular it is, there is a parking lot besides the restaurant if street parking nearby cannot be found. It's also not too far of a walk from Redmond Town Center as it's near the transit center and is in the downtown core. Plus, dogs are welcomed on the patio, which is a win. Staff could not be friendlier. For pizza on the Eastside, Spark Pizza is the best.
