There was nobody behind us and our pizzas were just thrown together with no consideration.....all my ingredients were just piled in the middle. Wow I was so disappointed in my whole experience. First of all it looked dirty, overflowing garbages and empty ingredient containers that need to be filled. We ordered a salad off the menu which we have had several times before. The Greek salad. The employee had no idea what to put in it. My husband had to take a picture of the menu and hold it up for him so he knew what to add. Then after purchasing a drink the ice wasn't dispensing. I told a different employee about it and she said I don't know how to fill it and there is not a manager here. I told her I wanted a refund since I like my soda with ice. She once again said she couldn't do that because she needed a manger. When our pizza came out my husband asked for balsamic drizzle and the employee acted really put out. He thanked her and she didn't respond just turned away. The pizza was not done the crust was soggy and couldn't be picked up to eat it. We have dined at this location often and always enjoyed our meal. This time the service was terrible the employees were more concerned about looking at their phones instead of serving the customer. The food was sub par and the Iceless drinks were pathetic with no apologies. I suggest you have a manager in house. Probably won't be back soon. read more

Several option on crust including a low carb crust. my only knock it the customer areas could be cleaner, I have had to wipe off the tables my self a few times. This is honestly one of my favorite places to eat at, their food and hospitality is amazing! But I'm honestly really upset they stopped serving beer! It was one of my favorite places to come after a long mountain bike ride or just with friends in the summer get a pitcher and eat out in the patio. Fun atmosphere, and I love that you can put everything you want without being charged. I got the Alfredo sauce the first time and did not like the sauce! I thought it was bland, but it also didn't help that I put everything and my dog on the pizza. The next time I went I got the normal Marinara sauce with half of the add ons as last time and it was much better! The staff are kind and willing to help you figure out what to put on the pizza. I LOVE Mod Pizza! I first went a few months ago when the 'Sophie' was the seasonal pizza. I always get it even though it's not the seasonal anymore and I add roasted garlic and mushrooms. I am giving it 3 stars because inside the restaurant it is ALWAYS cold. Like freezing cold. So we always sit outside which is much better, other than the fact that the outside eating area is right by the sewage manholes so it smells terrible. The last few times I have gone there I've just taken my pizzas home to eat them so I don't have to pick between freezing inside or smelling sewage outside. read more

Great pizza, I love the build my own option. I get everything I want and it's all the same price! I appreciate the mini size for my kiddos. There are two different thickness of crusts, depending what you're in the mood for. My only little complaint is that I usually end up with a pizza with large naked portions, it would be great to have more even coverage of toppings. Even so, the pizza is yummy! Wasn't overly impressed.. The seating is scarce everyone was trying to beat the next to get to an open table, customers shouldn't have to "fight" to sit down. It was a long wait I believe it was around a 25 minute wait for a 11" pizza which could be over priced for someone who doesn't like a lot of toppings (which isn't me). Absolutely Amazing! This is such an absolute gem in Riverdale. This is darling, contemporary little pizza shop in downtown Riverdale in the heart of the Upper Riverdale shopping district, just in front of Hobby Lobby. The atmosphere is bright and upbeat and the furnishing really lend themselves to a fun and active atmosphere. The staff is extremely helpful, which is great considering that this is a "create your own pizza" kinda place, so the expert advice and suggestions goes a long way to make the experience just that much cooler. The pizza is great, a traditional flatbread pizza, but its the options of toppings that truly make it stand out! Options like roasted button mushrooms, roasted garlic, and arugula are toppings you won't find in your traditional pizzerias. And the whole experience is super fast! I am so very grateful to have had the opportunity to visit MOD Pizza this evening. I was greeted by several very friendly associates as each of them played a roll in creating me a fantastic build-your-own style pizza. Never before MOD Pizza had I eaten at a pizza parlor that makes it right there in front of you in an assembly-line style fashion, but I am certainly glad that I had the opportunity to do so this evening. Each and every individual that helped in creating, cooking, & delivering my meal was extremely respectful & put true care into the preparation of my delicious food; a key factor in how it turned out, I am certain. Before leaving home to get this delicious meal, I was certain that I wanted to spend around $10, $11 at most. Getting a custom 11" MOD Pizza & a small fountain drink cost me just over $10, exactly what I had intended on spending; I spent a total of $11, expressing that I didn't need the change. When I asked for a small fountain drink, I was politely told that they were out of small cups & was given a large cup at no extra charge, a noteworthy & respectable business practice. I am greatly pleased by the variety of ingredients/pizza toppings that I was able to choose from. I was able to pile the toppings on an 11" base for a low flat-rate of just below $8. The gentleman that prepared the pizza-base & sauces was extremely polite & made great conversation while doing so; he did very well at perfectly-basting the complex combination of flavors I had chosen on top of the pizza dough. The next young-man that my pizza was passed to delicately topped my pizza with all of the ingredients I asked for, going above & beyond to ensure that my pizza was exquisite & eye-appealing; he evenly spaced the various ingredients in a way that ensured efficient flavor-distribution & complexity for my taste-buds. After he finished topping the last of my veggies, I asked if he would add croutons to the mix after my pizza was finished baking; he told me that he often does that himself & assured me that it was a fantastic addition :D I then proceeded to check out where I was given the upgraded fountain drink at no extra-charge due to lack of inventory on small cups; it had been a busy weekend. My pizza was ready rather quickly: definitely fast-food in my book! I was asked by the gal that pulled it out of the oven if there was anything else she could do for me; I asked if she would lightly drizzle my now-baked pizza with Italian dressing & ensure croutons had been added, which I believe had already been done as per my request earlier. I also asked for two sauce-cups of Ranch dressing & was rapidly taken care of in a polite & efficient manner. The pizza was fantastic! I had upwards of 10 different toppings piled on; just about every veggie available. I will definitely be back again for more! To drink I had a blend of the two available lemonades with a hint of Black Tea; the sweetness definitely gets my metabolism prepped & ready to process the impending meal. This was my second visit to MOD Pizza; I left feeling happy & satisfied, even more-so than the time before, primarily because I knew what was going on & had a good idea of what I wanted before I had arrived. Overall, this evening's visit to MOD Pizza was a 5-star experience! I received some of the best customer service I have ever had at a pizza parlor, as well as the fastest! I LOVE MOD pizza. With any food I like lots of choices and at mod pizza --wow-- there are lots of choices. There are lots of choices with just the sauce to begin with. Then you can add all of the toppings you want for the same basic price of the pizza. No charge for extra toppings. And there are lots of different toppings. Toppings you don't normally see in pizza places. Like roasted broccoli, roasted corn, roasted garlic cloves, smoked red peppers,And many many more. Then there are different choices of cheeses like mozzarella, Gorgonzola, asiago, ricotta. there is seriously about 40 different things you can put on your pizza. And the prices are completely reasonable if not low. Also the workers are really nice and friendly and that adds a lot to my dining experience. I just returned from living in New York for 6 months and I must say, even compared to the "greatest pizza on earth" this place holds their own. I really like how they combine the feel of an organic pizza place and the element of personalized food creation exuded in restaurants such as Subway. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of toppings and choices. After reading through the menu I even realized they had every ingredient needed to make an old classic family recipe pizza called "The Nikolo" BBQ Base, Asiago Cheese, NO MOZERELLA (they will ask multiple times if you are sure but please stay firm on your decision), 6 leaves of Spinach, Grilled Chicken, and a BBQ Swirl and Honey Lime Dressing finish. It was made to perfection and filled me just right. We finished the meal off with their cinnamon strips but unfortunately, the only issue I had was in fact that they ran out of Chocolate dipping sauce but luckily their Cinnamon sauce, which must have some type of Marshmallow Puff mixed in, was to die for. Fantastic lemonade with free refills as well. The atmosphere was a little echoey but that can be avoided in the warmer months by sitting on the beautiful courtyard between their building and Habit Burger (smells included.)
