MOD Pizza delivers in all the ways that are important to us. The food and prices are fair. One price, unlimited toppings, great selection. They do not skimp on the toppings, cheese or sauce. We love that they offer herbs as well as flavored drizzled toppings like balsamic glaze, ranch, etc. If it's not too busy, they bring our pizza to the table instead of just calling our name. It is ready really fast, usually a couple of minutes. Time to get a drink and sit down. The ambiance is relaxing. The employees are always smiling and seem to enjoy working there. We usually go in at a time between lunch and dinner and avoid the crowds. I always have to have a No Name Cake as well. They are always fresh and delicious tasting. I like that they change up the flavor sometimes although the chocolate is always good. I always enjoy eating at this establishment. Since food prices have gone up, it is nice to see a place two people can still eat for a reasonable price. Great job MOD! read more

I usually take students out every Friday for a lunch outing in the community. We have been to this MOD Pizza twice so far and have always had a wonderful experience. We were greeted by friendly staff who took our orders and made our pizza. They were patient with our group and helped those with dietary restrictions figure out what they could order. We have a few picky eaters and all of my students were very happy their orders, so that was great! Personally, I like that MOD''s crust is thin and crispy. It balances the rest of the ingredients nicely. We appreciate how manager Avelyna and her staff are always kind and patient with us, we look forward to coming back for future visits! read more

Ordered 2 pizzas on app for delivery. Mine came with chicken when I never ordered any (I'm vegan). I call the store and the employee admits she messes up and forwards me to her mgr. The mgr tells me to order another pizza on the app to get it delivered OR to come pick it up. What! Why would I pay another ~$20 on top the ~$40 I spent? So I agree to pick it up on this rainy Sunday evening. The mgr makes me say out all the toppings again, which makes no sense since they should have the order in the system. I go to pick it up and double check before leaving and they made the pizza without chicken this time but decided to make it with mozzarella when I clearly said vegan cheese. I ask for a refund and they said they can process it but I won't get a receipt aka no proof...they also said they'll give me a free pizza for the next order but won't provide anything in writing. So I wait for another pizza, 3rd times the charm I guess and it worked out, but not worth the $, the time, or the headache. From the order takers, to the mgr, to the delivery guy...they're all incompetent. Save yourself the headache and skip this one. read more

So happy this place is finally open! I ordered online today - expecting that they would be busy as it's only the second day they've been open. Sure enough, they were slammed! I arrived right when my order was supposed to be done - unfortunately - it hadn't even made it to the line to be prepped for the oven. The woman I spoke to was amazing and fast-tracked my pizza and within 10 minutes I was out the door. Several employees thanked me for waiting and apologized for the wait. It was, however, worth it! We got a couple pizzas from here. I ordered through their website and then went to pick up the order. I ordered 1 pizza with thick crust and red sauce, with pepperoni, sausage, salami and black olives. The 2nd pizza had white sauce, chicken, bacon, spinach and thin crust. The red sauce pizza was far better than the one with white sauce. The white sauce was bland and tasteless, the crust was too thin and almost cracker like. We both enjoyed the pizza with red sauce and thicker crust. Will try again soon. read more

I was so excited to try this pizza! Working with doordash, I would pick up here a lot and the pizzas looked so delicious! Ordering for my family presented a completely different version of what I'd seen in the store. Our pizzas had minimal toppings (even though we requested extra cheese) and even worse, it was doughy. A doughy skinny crust, you ask? Well, it was floppy and undercooked. It was like eating raw dough. I managed to salvage the pizzas by adding more cheese and throwing them in the oven. Saturday July 8,2023..There were two staff in the assembly line..The first one greeted me with a smile and even asked me if she said my name right she was nice..She started my pizza and asked for sauce and cheese which by the way i asked for an extra cheese..It was no problem until the next girl she looked so young with a long braided pony tail looks like having a bad day..After she put all the meat i wanted i asked for extra mushrooms "she told me that she can't no more with an unpleasant tone of voice"..She said the toppings are gonna fall out of the oven..but i insisted i wanted more coz i always ask for an extra everytime..She put the extra mushrooms however when she was done with my pizza she turned around and she whispered to the other girl about it..What an attitude !! We've enjoyed wood-fired pizza across the US, and MOD offers a very good pizza for great value with excellent service -- the 5 rating is based on those considerations. MOD is located within 20 minutes in each direction from both Il Pizzaiolo locations, which offer an excellent (if not the best) wood-fired pizza that costs a bit more with a slightly higher quality. But that would be an unfair comparison without considering the cost and convenience of the Rocklin area. We dine at both places, and taking everything into consideration, I would rate the total experience as comparable -- the drive, the cost, and the quality. We've been to this MOD and the Auburn MOD more than a few times, and the service has been "In-n-Out" quality -- enthusiastic, helpful, and efficient servers. Highly recommended. Like others, I would not take away but dine in -- it's best right out of the oven. Their drink selection is very good. read more

Went there with my family a few days ago. It was about an hour before closing time. The girl that was putting sauce on my pizza was very interesting. There was barely any sauce in the bottle she was using for my pizza so instead of opening a new bottle she just literally didn't put any white sauce on it but then she still had to open a new bottle for the next pizza so that was weird. Also when putting meat on my pizzas the other girl almost put them on a dirty rag that was laying around on the counter where the pizzas are made, the counter had so much food on it from pizzas that it looked like it was about time to clean that counter but nobody just didn't have the gut to do that. It was just gross. At that moment I already said that I will never be in this place again. When we paid for the pizzas and got our drinks we tried finding a clean table and guess what. No clean tables. All tables had marks of other people sitting there and none of the workers seemed to care enough to clean it for anyone that might need a table. Might as well just sit and eat on the floor. The floors looked even crazier and by the fountain drinks someone already took out the huge trash bins fool of garbage and just placed them there, probably because they were ready to close in an hour but I think something like that should be done after closing time not when there's still so much people eating inside. The pizzas were okay, considering that we payed $65 for 4 11' pizzas I would think they would taste a little better. The workers all looked tired and not happy to see more people coming in. That's understandable, it's the end of the day and all but just tops off the bad experience. I think the manager of this place needs to go over some sanitary rules with the employees because it's just awful. read more

I tried MOD pizza for the first time yesterday. I heard it was good and wanted to try it. As soon as I walked in I noticed some staff had their hair down. When I got my pizza I found not one but two hairs in it. The hair was blonde and I have brown hair. The hair was baked into the pizza, I was holding up the pizza by the hair. After waiting in line for almost 30 minutes because it takes three people to make one pizza (one guy ordered six pizzas and it took 20 minutes just for that). After a lovely wait, I was able to place my order and then was allowed to wait another 15 minutes for it to cook. And for a moderate pizza at best. Super thin crust, minimal sauce.... Why they can only make one pizza at a time is beyond me. They have three people that could be making three pizzas but choose to do one at a time while the other 2 stand around and watch until it's their turn to add toppings. Worst production line ever! Horrible business practice to make your customers wait that long for a pizza. Will never come back to Mod pizza! Blaze is so much better! read more

Sad to say I will not be coming back here. I was picking up and order inside the store and it was taking a little longer than normal. That usually is no problem to me, but the people that were working just kept goofing off and gossiping instead of working. While I was waiting, another customer came in saying that they got only 2 out of 3 pizzas. The employees kept saying that she was wrong until they noticed an extra box sitting in the corner. A few minutes later the customer comes back saying she got a pizza with no cheese. To this, the employees said that they ran out of the specific cheese she wanted and assumed she wouldn't want any other kind. The customer politely asked for a refund and left. As soon as she was out the door, the employees started laughing and saying that they don't understand why people are so dramatic...among other things. I understand that as a food worker, customers might seem wrong sometimes, but that is an opinion ment to be left to yourself, not loudly and rudely stated for the remaining customers to hear. Overall, I'm just disappointed with how "unprofessional" every single one of the employees was acting that night. With that kind of customer service, no food is worth it. read more
