I ordered two medium pizzas, a chocolate chip cookie dessert, and a 2-liter soda. After the delivery fee and tip, the total came in just under $50. Honestly, a pretty good deal to feed a small herd of hungry teens. The estimated delivery time was about 45 minutes, but it actually arrived closer to 30. Always a nice surprise. I had a very disappointing experience at Papa John's. The employee was rude and told us that we had to order online instead of helping us in the store. When we placed the order online, there was a mandatory tip, even though we were simply picking up the food. After our pizza was ready, they handed it to us without any plates. We also ordered a Coke, but they gave us the drink without a cup and said they didn't have any. How are customers supposed to drink their soda and eat their pizza without basic items like cups or plates? The customer service was poor, and the overall experience made us feel unwelcome. We just got back home last night after being out of the country and we're hungry and it was after 9 and all the good places were closed so we had to fall back on PJ'S. I'll make this real short. We ordered a Pepperoni and Sausage and a Gourmet Chicken and it really was the worst pizza I've had in years. There was scant amount of any meat on the Pep and Sausage, and the Gourmet Chicken was a little undercooked and Garlic Sauce had a somewhat tangy/sour taste. I had read snippets saying that Papa John's had gone downhill since they were sold off and it seems it was true. The silver lining is that I can now remove them from my list. I have picked up and ordered for delivery. Service has always been great and easy to use their online ordering system. Their GF pizza is enjoyable; pretty basic crust that is thin and crunchy. The wings are great- prefer the buffalo and chipotle honey flavors. The original crust pizza is also great- especially when dipped in the garlic butter. MMmmm!! Just picked up a pizza from this papa John's location that had zero cheese or toppings on two of the six slices. Just slices of bare, overcooked crust. I cannot say whether the pizza is good or not. The online order went fine and it was ready on time, but when I cam to go in in store 3 of 4 employees did not have masks on for the State COVID19 requirements. They get 2 stars for the manager who promptly refunded my credit card when I refused the pizza. However, this was after the young man at the register gave me lip about "his right" to not wear a mask even though the state requires it, especially for food handling establishments. Another good pizza place in Rocklin! I like having lots of choices for pizza delivery so I am glad there is a new Papa Johns in town. Nothing arrived, so we called back. They said it would be here in 12 minutes. We asked for a refund if the time was not met. They called 20 minutes later and informed us a full refund was given and then informed us that the other pizza would not be coming.
