Whoever makes the pizza here is literally the best. Everytime I've been to the Sugarland location my pizza has come out thoughtfully and perfectly proportioned. The toppings are nicely coated throughout the entire pizza, if I ask for extra chicken they give it, sauce on top is perfectly drizzled, even the extra crispiness I asked for is perfect. I visited MOD Pizza in Sugar Land, TX on March 5, 2026 at 1045 a.m.and ordered my favorite the MOD Salad with the Sinful Garlic Cheesy Bread. I have to admit, I'm a little particular about my salads. I like the ingredients evenly distributed so every bite is flavorful. Jophet prepared my salad, and he absolutely nailed it without me even having to say a word! Then you pick your sauce, then you decide on your proteins then move on to the veggies. Which lets you finish with your choice of cheese. You pay and then they cook it for you. Came here for the first time and it was a good time. We dined in with 4 small kids, so their round table made it easy for our party of 9. Pizza was good, came out fast, staff was friendly, and the place was clean, good space, and nice decor inside. The only unfortunate event was our mushrooms were not cooked into the pizza but added on top afterwards. Overall, a good experience with the family over some good pizza, when it's all too common to get pizza to-go, so this was refreshing. read more

If you're in a bad mod, this is a good place to lift you're spirits... maybe not all of your spirits, but a pizza them at least. I never liked to build my own pizza because I lived for many years around New York and Chicago and Buffalo and Pittsburgh and Cleveland and Detroit and all these places have miraculous Pizza - not to mention New Haven. Yeah, there's lots of wonderful Pizza in the Northeast and Great Lakes, so it's always disappointing to build your own generic cookie-cutter pizza on basic dough with standard sauce, but as far as these chains go, they're friendly and tasty and I appreciate the meal to some degree. Sad writing this...but things here have gone way downhill and it's not just a few times. 18 months ago I loved this store! But it's August 2024 and here is my recent experience. First, they eliminated the curbside pickup option. It was so cool to drive home from work and get the pizza at the car. Yes, it's only 20 feet car door to store door, but after a day at work it was a nice touch. Gone. Next, we found that they consistently ignored our "special request" order notes. Request for "crispy crust" was not translated into a crispy crust 9 out of 10 times. Request for "extra pepperoni, upcharge $ ok" was ignored. In fact tonight's delivery (we had it delivered tonight) had less pepperoni than usual. Someone in the store having a bad day and taking it out on a customer? Finally....until recently their deliveries were ahead of the requested time, and hot! Tonight...the pizza was cold and the soda was warm and the delivery was late. A complete waste of money. Our pizza was cold, mis-shapen and lopsided. My 11 inch pepperoni pizza tasted like it might have been mediocre if it had been hot, but as it was cold it was pretty bad. They have a call center, Lord knows where, taking phone orders. We called because we thought we were talking to the restaurant directly. We had questions and special requests and thought it would be best to call. It was not. After I gave the order for my first item, the order-taker had me wait as he said he had to work out some abbreviations to get the order to the restaurant. This should have been my first clue to hang up and go somewhere else. After I gave my full order, the order-taker read it back to me. It sounded correct. But somehow it did not get to the restaurant that way. When I went to pick up our pizza, it was sitting on a wire rack with our salad sitting on top of it. Yep, what should be cold salad sitting on top of what should be hot pizza. Both were lukewarm. There was no attempt at all to keep the pizza hot. It was just sitting there getting cold, with a cold salad helping to get it there. We ordered on pizza with pineapple and Canadian bacon, and jalapenos on the side. MOD put the jalapenos on the pizza instead. We asked for extra sauce on the pizza. The employees claimed that was not on the order the restaurant received. They also seemed clueless. Quality control is clearly not a concern here. We will never order from MOD pizza again. read more

Messed up my pizzas. Gave me a medium instead of a large on one and forgot my second entirely, so I had to get back in line and reorder. Pizza toppings guys inexperienced, put way too much of several toppings, making them the worst pizzas I've had from Mod. Beyond bad customer service. Just kind of shrugged when I complained about my pizzas. When I asked for a to go box they just pointed at the boxes and said "they're over there", but when I went to get them myself after they didn't move to get them, this redheaded employee yelled at me to not touch them. When I told her that I was told to get them and nobody was helping me, she only got more upset and started blaming me for being a hassle. And yeah, again they messed up my order and they forgot my pizza entirely. They acted like having to make the pizza I paid for was an ordeal. After I tried to leave she actually came out from the counter and outside to yell at me that she was going to report me to HR. Horrible service and unsanitary handling of food at 99/59 location in sugar land! Just left here and will never return to this location. The children running this location are too busy popping each other with towels to be bothered with customers. When you do demand service they argue with you about wearing gloves. There are three people there right now handling food and not one of them is wear gloves or washing their hands between making food and ringing people up. My five year old asked if they'd heard of COVID! We love the location in town center and we're excited about dinner but the employees have terrible attitude and no work ethic at the 99/59 location. We were so disappointed with this dinner trip. The pizza crusts were precooked and bitter. They kept putting pizzas that were made after ours ahead in the rack. When we finally reminded them the second time they still hadn't put our pizzas in they didn't even leave them in there long enough to melt the cheese. Rotten attitudes and rotten pizza! Held my Meetup group here last night but have to express my disappointment in the drink selections. In the past this location has carried bottled beer as well as at least one beer on tap. Last night they had neither. All that was on offer was White Claw and "House Wine" in cans. Blech. I made do with the House Wines but I am not a wine drinker and frankly they were kind of disgusting. Enjoyed my pizza and good company which were excellent as always, but the lack of a single beer option soured my mood worse than the chardonnay I managed gag down. I will try other Mod locations in Sugar Land to see if they have better beer choices for my group. This is completely unsatisfactory at present. read more

Last night our family decided to make our second visit to MOD pizza since they opened about a month and a half ago. My wife's first visit she liked it a lot! For a Friday night the place was hopping! The line was practically out the door! But moving fast. Their crew was very efficient and worked well together and the pizzas we ordered were so good! The first time I visited I was a neophyte and didn't realize that for one price you had your choice of unlimited ingredients. This time around I loaded it up and the MOD team was very generous with the ingredients! The pizzas turned out so good! While there we had an opportunity to meet with Tim one of the managers of the store and he enlightened us about the MOD concept and how the stores originated which was very fascinating! The stores originated in Seattle in 2008 and have caught on and taken off in many cities and I can see why! The employees here seemed together and happy and their attitudes were good!
