I was attending the Elton John Concert in Portland, Oregon when my husband and I were kicked out because of a drunk concert goer. I had complained to staff three times. Once for being spit on. Things became physical when the drunk man pushed me. I got security. And they brought the drunk guy down along with the women he was drunk with and my husband. They only listen to the drunk guys story talking to him more then ten minutes. No one talked to me for more then one minute. And they made the decision to kick us both out. I told them it was a boys club and they started to back peddle. I have a full email I sent that night to the venue with all the events in order which I can forward you. The sexist arguments that the staff gave me on the 8 person escort was mine blowing. The drunk man was escorted out with one guy. I'm sure footage will show he went back in. A decision was made with the boys club mentality. I feel that by me not saying anything it's like saying that this behavior is okay. I checked Yelp and it looks like another women had a similar experience. Thank you for your time. read more

The place is pretty well maintained and the seats are somewhat comfy. I think the signs indicating the seating sections should be different. I can't quite put my finger on it but they just don't seem right. I believe that the concessions could be more varied. I guess I was spoiled living in Southern California where there are a huge range of food choices. read more

Pretty nice Arena Came here to watch our beloved Warriors take on the Blazers - I was surprised how into the crowd was, even down ten they fully believe they were the better team and were going to win Sorry the Warriors had OTHER plans guys ;) But their fans were great - no one welcomed us or anything, but no one was rude or got into our face - you Blazer fans get an A++ for being loud, being good fans and being good hosts. Oh - and not a bad hot dog. lol I did like the little pre-game bar and food/place they have outside the arena - I heard when the weather is nice people STAY outside in Portland, so this open air bar thing is a great idea read more

Over all, this is a GORGEOUS venue to hold just about any event, let alone an awesome Craft Brewer's Conference! The art installations in here are great, and the ceilings are incredibly lofty, lending for a very spacious ambience. They provided cushiony carpet for the booths and paths as well, which is awesome. I've been to trade shows that don't do this, so it was welcome. My qualm is when it comes to wifi. The CBC has an app to be used while at the conference, but guess what? THERE ISN'T ANY FREE WI-FI. Which of course made the app completely useless. It also meant I couldn't check in here earlier! read more

We went to a Blazers game tonight! It's been a really long time since I've been to a game and I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of getting there (via uber) and picked up. It took all of 30 seconds to get through security and on our way to explore a bit and find our section. There are a ton of great Portland choices of food and beverage (not just hot dogs and popcorn ladies and gents!) we had beers at Pyramind lounge then took them up to nice little area on the 3rd level with tables over looking the water fountain thingy. It was a nice way to relax before hand. It seems that everything runs really smoothly and all of the staff that we encountered were friendly. We had Salt & Straw ice cream at half time... Deviiiine. All and all great experience! (And we won, go Blazers!!!) Only reason I wouldn't say 5 stars was because of the seating availability. There were a TON of lower level seats available. It's a shame those tickets go to waste. I understand it's probably season ticket holders but it would be nice if there was a simple system for people to be able to buy their tickets through Moda center or ticket master if they know they aren't going... RIIIIP CITTTTTTTY!!! The Blazers are undergoing an amazing and utterly unexpected revival under the leadership of Coach Terrence ("Terry") Stotts, Damian Lillard, and the underappreciated man who seized his opportunity, CJ McCollum. Even freaking Chris Kaman is making some great plays. This is one of the most 'electric' stadiums I've ever been to in terms of crowd engagement. Only the Toronto stadium rivals it in terms of noise, though I haven't been to Oracle Arena yet. I love loud and angry fans who are passionate and engaged about the game. Props, too, to Blazers/Moda for handing out superb playoff prizes: quality RIP CITY hates and T-shirts (without cheap advertising on the back, like many of these handouts :COUGH UNITED CENTER COUGH:). The Rose Garden is a very versatile building. Housing the Blazers, Winterhawks and many concerts. The building is well taken care of and the staff is very friendly. The food options are just ok but I think they are behind what other stadiums are offering these days. If you have a chance to attend an event in the Garden, do it! read more

So if Oracle Arena in Oakland is your friendly, neighborhood dive bar, the Rose Garden is fancy, schmancy whiskey and cigar bar (and a family friendly one at that!) My family and I drove over 10 hours from the SF Bay Area for a quick trip to Portland to watch the Blazers play. Fun stuff. - Everyone here is majorly polite. There are no yelled obscenities, no threatened fights, and everyone is smiling. The downside of this is that it's not that thrilling when it comes to the game. - The cheerleaders here seem like legitimate cheerleaders as opposed to dancers. Kid friendly moves and all that jazz. - What a beautiful place. It's clean, and well-maintained! - No traffic after the game. Is this because of good public transportation or what? Either way, I ain't complainin. read more

My Auntie suprised my Portlandia cousin and I with Justin Timberlake 20/20 tour tickets.. she and I drove down from the PNW to spend a couple days with family and add some fun in the old memory bank.. I've never been to a concert outside of the Gorge Amphitheatre, White River Amphitheatre, Key Arena, or the Tacoma Dome.. so the Moda Center was a first for this trio.. The verdict? We walked away loving it and would easily plan another trip here. Sure the drinks are overpriced, as well as the food and concert memorabilia, but that is always a given! The overall ambiance led to an unforgettable experience.. the classy lounge area on level 2 felt like a huge upgrade from the venues I've experienced. There's a restaurant attached (called Mr. Jack's?), minutes away from the train (TriMet?) and friendly, efficient employees... so don't "cry me a river" and check check check it out! read more

From Rose Garden to Moda Center, it ended up smelling like roses despite a few snafus. Note to self, backpacks are out, clear see through bags are the new Moda here and in all concerts and sporting events. Kudos to the Moda Center for having a bag check at no fee to accommodate unknowing tourists and hometown fans alike. Umbrellas in the facility are also out, oddly enough as it was raining, but can be hidden in a nearby bush for post game retrieval or stock up and attend the game in local purveyor Columbia rain gear as the locals do (product placement not intended). The facility itself is great and easily accessible by TriMet Transit so a visit to Rip City for an NBA head would not be complete without catching the TrailGangstas errrr Blazers if they are in. read more

Well flew in for a concert the other day ... Very bright and open inside; easy to find your section or just walk around, as it is just a giant circle. Alot of food options They do also sell alcohol; beer, wine, and I saw a legit bar with cocktails. The ushers were very nice and helpful. On my ticket it said to access floor seats to go to Front row near center I bought the Motley Crue 2 tickets and(Too fast V.I.P package) It what most spend on a new car but I'm worth it. Back stage before meet and great autographs You name it we did it. There are 3 levels in the venue. The concert was fantastic. Motley Crue Rocked it for hours the night was priceless and this Moda center brought the Sound out right its a great place Check it out The sound was great and the lighting was great. Went to a Blazer Game tonight, game great as usual, but seriously they need to figure out the parking nightmare! Every single garage had "FULL" signs out and were being saved for parking passes only. I got there at 5pm and literally everything was empty, but I was not allowed to park in Garden, Annex, or East/West. How is that even possible that you do not have ONE space for any paying customers?!? This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Next I was standing in line to enter the arena for 20 minutes, it was finally 5:30pm, and then some employee comes up to me and tells me I'm in the wrong line, that the line I'm in you can't have any purse! Let me be clear I have a tiny cross body coach bag. He had seen me numerous times over the 20 minutes and never said anything. So I go all the way to the back of the next line over, and watch people with purses go in on the line I was kicked out of! Seriously. The employees need to know what the rules are and enforce equally. Next, I paid almost $300 per seat for my 6th row center court seats, and some Shaggy was literally standing up the entire warm up period right in front of me and my child. He refused to sit down, and he didn't even have seats down in front! We could not see anything. I asked the employee to do something and she said she can't. Anyone can come down and watch warm ups, and apparently block your view that you paid for. Nice. Lastly, NEVER, and I mean NEVER eat at Sizzle Pie at Moda Center. The pizza was an abomination. You could not even call it pizza. It was so nasty that I took 1 bite and threw it away. It was literally 1 millimeter thin, had zero cheese. Cardboard is thinker and tastier. What a cheap thing to do. The pizza they are putting out looks nothing like the pictures. Very disappointing. read more

Never again! I had never been in the venue before and never will again. We were in the 300 section and if you have any issues with heights whatsoever it is a nightmare. The seats are too small, no leg room and you feel like you are going pitch face first over the edge. I had a serious panic attack and we had to leave before the show started. What an utter waste of time and money, and don't even get me started on the price of food and beverages. $5 for water, $7 for a soda, $12 for a small nasty looking cheeseburger and a few fries is BS! read more

I was on vacation and decided to go to the game vs Clippers. Huge Lillard fan so it was a no brainer to go to the game. Are was very nice, great vibe from the staff and fans. A lot of activities going on in the plaza and it was a lot of fun. Small stadium allows all seats to have great views. read more

Went to Moda Center for the Darrel Hall and Job Oats and Train concert. The sound was good and place was very safe and secure

This place is smaller than the Staple's Center. Traffic around the facility is bad and the event staff is mediocre. One lady at the door insisted my wife's wallet on a string was a full blown purse and was attempting to deny my wife entry. Fortunately, a higher up who's head was located between their shoulders and NOT their buttcheeks put her in her place and let us in. read more

Bought last minute Ed Sheeran concerts, and went. The staff there were really helpful when we were trying to find our seats, and the best entrance to use. One of them even walked us to our seats which was really sweet. read more

I have been here for the first time for the Blazers v.s. Warriors game and I really had a blast! The venue itself is pretty clean and pleasant. I really liked the many food options they had all around the stadium. Expect pricy food and beverages before going to the game! Good venue with lots of food options. Clean, well lighted at night for walk to garage or down road to catch Uber. We attended a few games for basketball tournament and found location consistent for the whole tournament. Road closures can make Uber pick-up tricky for new drivers. OMG. I just have to say that parking for this place... stinks. Like really... REALLY. Other than that, the place is awesome. I went during a basketball game, and there's just so much to do for everyone. Lots of places to eat. And good places, too! Places that scream "Portland!" Lots of activities for kids - they have face painting, basketball hoops, sign making, etc. It's clean. There are recycling/trash bins everywhere! There are employees everywhere. And most of the ones we came across were nice and helpful. I think the only little issue was that I ordered food during halftime, and the employee at the register was quite a bit frantic. I think the people in the kitchen were playing around, because she seemed most annoyed by them. I was starving, and the food took a bit of time. So, I could understand her frustration. Anyway, I definitely can't wait to go back for another event... and we'll just go extra early to park! read more

I just want to share that the staff at the Moda Center go above and beyond in terms of customer service. I was hesitant to go to an event there in fear of my limited ability to get around. Each person who helped me was kind, caring and I didn't not feel uncomfortable or humiliated ever. I'm so happy to know that the staff will assist me should I need their assistance evrr again. They have wheelchairs available and an employee assisted me in any way necessary to get me to my start and back to my car. read more

I'm a sucker for the Moda Center. I don't go too often, maybe two or three times a year, but I have a blast every time I'm there. I've seen a ton of concerts there and it's such a great venue. Even the worse seat in the house is good. Highly recommended. read more

First time being here and it's one of the biggest centers I've been in for a convention . We are here for a event...nice center, really big, bathrooms everywhere, clean and lots of nice places to take pictures at. They also have a parking lot structure close by and bus line and train stops out front. The only downside is they have gotten strict with brining things inside, not allowed backpacks even small ones, food, drinks of any kind. But overall definitely the perfect place for any event or confrerence! Love it here in Portland! read more

The concert sound and venue is pretty good but I noticed that Widmer Hefe Beer station bartenders snag, crumble and throw their credit card receipts on the floor if you don't tip them. It's a very poor practice and I heard the friend of the guy that didn't tip, didn't get any service after they went to get a beer at half time. They ignored them. read more

Super clean center with a variety of food and drinks to get you turnt before the game. At one of the bars I got 2 shots and 2 beers and it was 42.50 it was pricey but given your at the event center it makes sense. They have everything from pizza, tacos to barbecue and local sandwiches. I've never been to a basketball game and the moda center made it an unforgettable experience even though I sat all the way up in the nose bleeders I still got a good view. read more
