My limited experience here has been okay-- the healthcare professional I had a telemedicine appointment with was clinical during her intake, not empathetic, but I didn't need a listening ear so it was fine. I missed my second appointment because they don't send you a text or email with a link to join-- after calling the office, I confirmed you use the original link from your first appointment-- except I don't remember being told that and every other doctor I've been to sends you a link for each telemedicine appointment. The admin assistant was furthermore rude when I explained my confusion with this system. There also is no way to you directly call or message your doctor - you need to leave a message with the front desk. For these two latter reasons (especially the rude staff), I would recommend going elsewhere.

This lady made me hate this place and I won't try here again. First impressions go a long way. What a shame an initial call with a phone worker can turn a potential patient off.

The answer: "Should I call her office & tell her that you (your child) are waiting?" 3 mins later, the therapist arrives in the waiting area & says she "... was in (her) office making some phone calls ..." 32 mins into a 45 min session, my child was seen ... and returned to the waiting area @ X:44. The appt started 32 mins late & ended 1 min early - and my child's ONLY topic of conversation (which was shared with me w/out my asking)? Why we were late. $200 for 12 mins ($20 co-pay) and my child had to answer for MY shortcomings / inability to arrive on time??? (That's not fair; I'm sorry, Buddy): It must be great work if you can get it. Thanks for caring so much ... about the time - which seems to be the ONLY thing that was cared about ... Never mind the 10-yr-old looking for an unbiased ear, the child will be OK as long as the check clears, right??

I advise against engaging this business to provide services. The health care system, like all systems and institutions are interested in perpetuating themselves, so I don't expect her to be removed and prevented from her harming additional vulnerable clients. All I can hope is that this action will sober her, break through her arrogance and result in her honoring her committement to to help clients. I do question her intelligence and competency, however, and ability to fully adhere to ethical behavior. I mean I walked in one day one and told her exactly who I was, a man who had not only graduated as valedictorian of my college class Suma cum laude, but who had also passed a competency based State exam and had work as a licensed counselor in a DPH funded healthcare facility. Yet she didn't realize that I would not only recognize substandard care, but that I knew how to address it!!! What does that say about her? She even laughed when I described some of the abuse I had experienced! While I have the capacity to forgive, I feel a responsibility to warn others about her character.

The issue is, this is the only place that for some reason won't let you make appt and you just have to show up and hope there is a therapist there. So I was told come in any day to do my intake and see a therapist. I go in do my intake but there was no therapist and I was told Again I couldn't make an appt and to just show up. So a week and a half after I did my intake I plan to go in but something told me to call because I didn't want to waste money on a cab and no one be there again so I called and I was told there is no openings for one on one therapy anymore! And it didn't matter I did my intake when there was? So it's basically like a first come first serve but not really because even though I did my intake when there was therapist and wasn't my fault they weren't in that day I lost my spot. They refuse to let you make an appt than waste day when no one there and unless you just have days to waste and show up hoping someone there your probably going to wait a long time to see someone. If they were like most places and let you actually make appointments probably wouldn't be a issue. Also No one even called me to tell me this even though I did my intake and called all in a week in a half. And they said it takes over a month of seeing a therapist before you can get medication even if your already on medication. So now I have to start process all over again and just wasted almost 2 weeks!

All of a sudden, billing practices were changed without any notice, transparency went down the hole, and correspondence with anyone other than the therapist did not exist. I was made to feel like I was obligated to attend sessions I attempted to cancel and charged fees pretty randomly. In fact, I'd say the office went as far as to exacerbate some of my issues by being clearly unsympathetic and focused primarily on making a dollar. My therapist was new to the practice, and quite understanding, but couldn't avoid the bureaucracy of the administration. Seemed like there wasn't much support from above. When it was time for me to end my relationship with Leeward, no attempt to communicate was made until I prompted confirmation.
