The Modern Diner is a old-fashioned diner. They have great breakfasts, customized to just what the customers order. They have daily lunch and dinner specials too The wait staff is attentive and very friendly, too. The inside décor rarely changes. If you'd like an experience unlike today's Chain Restaurants, Modern Diner is a Great. Choice! The best lunch itemi The Pat Burger and fries.

5 stars for service, ambiance, and ease. Food is what you would expect from an old timey diner! I got a western omelet and pancakes. The pancakes were the big hit. And the coffee was good, as well. Decor feels like what Matty Matheson was aiming for with his new restaurant, RIZZO'S House of Parm. Loved the experience!

Cute diner.... Burnt chicken and cold sides. Lots of locals so maybe order what they are having.

Food was not good. Atmosphere was nice. Got a bacon burger and the meat was unseasoned and overcooked. Also came with no lettuce or tomato.

Best old fashioned diner. Looks really old and the food is good, so I'll would give it a 5 stars. Guy Richie should try it here.

Their menu has what you'd expect from a classic diner, prices are cheap, and service is quick! We got the Country Style Eggs and Patty Melt. Both lacked basic seasonings like salt & pepper. If I was rating off the food alone, I'd give it a 3/5. The home fries in the Country Style Eggs could've been crispier and adding hot sauce definitely saved this a bit. The biscuit we got with it was homemade and so delicious. It was warm, buttery, and satisfying. The Patty Melt was a bit dry and desperately needed a sauce. I used ketchup and asked for pickles which helped. The rye bread was surprisingly not dry and grilled nicely with butter. It was definitely a heavy meal but we needed it after a long drive. It's not the kind of place where you'll have an amazing meal but it'll do the job at a super affordable price.

From high end steaks to everyday burgers and then my favorite..... breakfast served all day. It is very spacious, so it was easy to get a seat even on a busy Saturday morning. Complete with a cozy fireplace, it is clean, well appointed and has an inviting atmosphere. The sound levels can be a bit much, and since it's a family place, you will occasionally be dealing with a screeching/screaming child. But overall, a very nice dining experience. Coffee and water came quickly with a complimentary bread and muffin basket. I ordered a special style eggs benedict with a croissant and melted Swiss cheese under an herbal hollandaise sauce, (instead of an english muffin) and my husband ordered a wonderful homemade turkey barley soup and the hot turkey sandwich entree. The food was very very good. It is worth every minute of the forty minute drive from our house!

The menu means towards middle-American classics: turkey sandwiches, meatloaf, pork chops, etc. The twist? There's a maple-syrup theme snuck in wherever it can go. The glaze on the baby carrots, on the pork chops, on the chicken breast? Yes! Maple! The service is skilled and efficient, the people-watching unparalleled, and the portions are enormous for the listed price. Figure two meals for the listed price, and it seems a better deal! Limited wine and beer list; gift shop on premises for maple syrup and jams as souvenirs.

But after being out of town for a while, we stopped in today for a meal. I was all set to dive into the kielbasa special when the description of the last special changed my mind. I wish I had thought to take a picture! it was not only delicious, but beautiful to look at! Navy blue and white diagonal stripes on a 4 (maybe 5) tier stack of perfectly baked French toast. It came with sides of a potato choice and ham. (I traded out for bacon-how could I not?) I'm not sure if the special ends today, but if it does, I'm definitely going back the next time it is on the menu, and you should too!
