Translation super tiny short nail beds that are damaged and basically clinging to their last shred of life. It's very hard to find someone who is gentle enough with my dry, thin, brittle nails. For this reason I haven't gotten my nails done after leaving California and moving here as my last nail tech I had met by chance through a agency I was contracted with at a fashion show (they mandated I had my nails done and would send me to different techs they had contracted) and I never thought I would find someone as great as her until I went here! The vibe is super friendly and welcoming and let me just say the quality of nails ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! The prices are also incredibly low for the quality you are getting! She didn't hurt me or make me flinch once which again with my nails is super hard because they are so thin the dremmles get hot a lot quicker on them. With her though? Not a single ounce of pain or mishap. Another thing is I get my nails very short and natural looking which is hard as the shorter you go the more bubbly nails can look because of how powder sits but she took the extra time to make sure they looked perfect and as natural as physically possible! On top of that they are holding up EXTREAMLY well which again is hard to accomplish on a nail bed that is so short! Instead, over 3 inches were cut and layers were added without her consent. She also asked for a blowout, but Ashley curled her hair anyway, increasing the cost. When she washed her hair the next day, her ends were clearly burned--likely why it was curled to hide the damage. When she called to speak to the manager, Ashley called back instead, became defensive, and accused her of lying. The manager later said she "understood both sides" but still told her she was no longer welcome--just for asking for a refund on a service she didn't want. They refunded the haircut, but the way they handled it was unprofessional and dismissive. Definitely not what you'd expect from a "high-end" salon!
