Went to modern nails on mother's day to get a pedicure they were out of hot water and was told it was room temperature. It was FREEZING cold. The lady did not even scrub my feet and applied a pea size amount of lotion. As she finished she packed all her supplies into a little basket without cleaning anything properly. $55 for a service and the only thing you will leave this place with is a good laugh. Save your time and your money and go elsewhere!! read more

I've had my nails done here last three times. Obviously I'd been satisfied or I wouldn't have continued returning. My pedicure was done by a guy, not who my appointment was with. I had to ask for the massage chair to be turned on. I sat there with no water about 15 minutes. When he did turn on water it was cold. I had to ask for hot water. He shoved my purse beside me in the chair. That was uncomfortable. There are chair arms to place your belongings. I fixed that myself. I've never had my legs twisted and turned like he did, it hurt. I told him it hurt but he went on with it. After he finished I sat through 4 others getting manicures of one sort or another to finally have my S&S done by the gal I had the appointment with. She cut my nails down to the nubs. I had nice length and wanted my nails trimmed, not chopped off. She chopped off healthy nails. She didn't listen. Obviously she never looked at the picture of my requested design. This all took about 4 hours I'll never get back and $110 for the saddest looking nails ever. I did not have the appointment I requested. I definitely won't go back. She did a great job first two times. read more

I really like this place, usually no waiting and I get good service . It is local for me. I usually get gel manicures. This last time I was there ,was my best one yet. Tia did a great job. She wasnt afraid to use polish, some try to get three nails from one brush. It was neat none on the sides and all the way to the cuticle the way it should be. First visit in years. Was hoping it'd go better. Was wrong. Waited an hour , still gave her a great tip even though I left with nails that would've been suitable for a toddler doing pageants. I asked for a specific length and they were so short I could still see my finger tips over them. 3 weeks later - wanted a full in since this is where I got them done and wanted them fixed as well. 2nd visit today - called ahead. Still waited an hour. One woman moved above me somehow ? All I needed was a fill in.. will not be going back please don't waste your money here. From the work I could see the other customers getting the nail tech skills are subpar at best . Also - how does a full set that is advertised $25 turn into $35!? read more

HORRIBLE!!!!! ive been getting my nails done for YEARS. i recently moved from Lexington to frankfort. ive been to so many nail shops in frankfort they all SUCK! too thick or to thin they are all uneven and sideways ect. i told them to just stop mid doing my nail. its so sad that they even made me pay almost $50!!! for these thats not even done or anything. its so sad that i have to drive all the way to Lexington to get my nails done. I honestly dont recommend going ANYWHERE here in frankfort. i also had to even wait 2 HOURS just to even get in the chair. what a waste of money and time. im so done!!! read more

Older building. Public parking lot, so it is never an issue finding a space. I like coming here because their employees are sweet. They don't talk in front of you, they talk to you. There is never an awkward moment that you may find in another salon. They offer spa pedicures as well as regular ones. read more

Definitely not going here again. Walked in the door and asked for a gel pedicure for my mom and I. The lady asked if we wanted the spa pedicure, we said sure thinking, like at most salons, it's the chair, hot water and foot massage etc. Little did my mom and I know, we were now paying $200 for the both of us to get a special volcano lotion. Nothing was mentioned about pricing or add on. Of course we paid for the "service" even though it was the same kind of pedicure I get at other businesses for $90 for two people. Don't know why a volcano lotion would double the price? If you decide to go here, ask about pricing before they start. Not worth the money we paid at all. read more

I have been coming here for years but, I won't be back! I came in with my friend at 2:45 PM on a Sunday and at first we were put in the chairs for our nails, after sitting there for 20 mins we were taken back for our pedicures and that was a 2 hour process. My friends toenails were fully covered in polish and she was halfway done with her nails when they decided they would make time to start mine. I thought everything about this experience was ridiculous and I left without my fingernails done. If they would have started my nails when we first got there that, would have been better than me getting my toes done because, I could have got that done the next day. When you spend that much money on services, you should be treated like you are just as important as anyone else. It's not first come, first serve. They do as they please and the polish should be covering the entire nail not, just part of it. I felt rushed and if I would have gotten my nails done they would have probably broken off. read more

so when i went in i got helped immediately, she didn't take her time. she went through the process very quickly and carelessly. end result was a very bad job. i asked her if she could square one out more and she said no cause there was already polish on it. they weren't square, one had a big bump, and you can see where she filed them. plus i'm pretty positive she used mma (illegal stuff) because my nails are now ruined, they were just getting hard and strong and now super brittle and i can't get these nails off. do not go here read more

to be honest, this place is not a bad place to get your nails done. but the customer service could use some work. I bought a pedicure giftcard for my friend and she tried to use it and it had expired yesterday. My friend is 7 months pregnant and was trying to wait a week before my wedding to get the pedicure, and they wouldnt budge on the expiration date. she even offered to pay extra and get a gel set. this is not a corporation and they definitely could have made an exception. i have been to many other places that have made exceptions for expirations dates of more than 1 day. so I wont be going back, there are too many other decent nail salons in frankfort. read more

Worst pedicure I have ever had. No massage, literally just rubbed lotion on my legs. Put the polish on so thick, three hours later it still smudged! Good money gone to waste tonight. The polish is old with poor choices available, so bring your own polish if you choose to come here. Very unhappy and will never go back. read more

I went in for a pre-vacation mani/pedi and received excellent customer service. My tech was friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed talking with her. She was very precise in her work. I got a regular pedicure and my feet looked awesome afterward. She talked me into a gel manicure so it wouldn't chip on my island getaway. The manicure held up well until about four days in when the base of the polish near my cuticles started to peel up. I painted a clear coat over my nails and they look okay again. I'll probably return but maybe just get a regular manicure next time. read more

I had been to this shop before so I was looking forward to going. I arrived 15 minutes before they opened. They arrived 15 minutes after the time they were suppose to open. I told the man I wanted a new overlay on my finger nails he says no you need a fill in. I said no I really need a new overlay. He said he was too busy. I did the fill in only because I didn't have time to find another place or drive all the way to Lexington. The fill in was rushed and looked very tacky. Less than a week later I needed a new fill in and on a couple of nails the acrylic began to lift. When I did find another place to get my nails done I had fungus. I will not be back to modern nails and I hope I save someone else from wasting their time at this so called luxury nail salon. read more
