I could not get into my normal eyebrow wax artist so I had to get a basic clean up. She did fantastic! I appreciated her time.

The worst manicure I have ever received. I called ahead asking if they offered dip powder and could do an ombré set and she said yes. Upon arrival I was a little unsure but they assured me they could do it. Not only did they do the ombré wrong...but the whole experience was just painful. Wedging tools between my nail and the fake nails I had come in with to remove them. Didn't offer soak off until I asked 3 times because it was SO PAINFUL. Other women in the salon also experienced discomfort with their drilling and clipping. Some of my nails are Crooked, shape is uneven, coating is uneven and bubbly. Not even 12 hours after my experience a nail broke. The apex of the nail is supposed to be the thickest area of acrylic Application to prevent breakage. Most painful break EVER! The owners are super sweet and the place is nice and quiet. Came during family weekend when everything else that was recommended was booked or closed. If they did just a few things, they would probably have better reviews. Examples: use liners in the tubs for feet because it didn't seem that sanitary without it; it wasn't clear if the tools had been cleaned/opened for us - though they didn't look obviously dirty but places we usually go, we expect things to be new/ clean. We needed up not doing the dip manicures because the color choices were few and we were concerned that it would take too long. read more

I originally wasn't going to come here, but the nail salon I usually go to was booked, so I ended up coming here. When I arrived, I noticed that the place was empty so I started to get the feeling that maybe this wasn't the best place?? But it didn't matter because I still needed to get my nails done lol. I wanted to get both a manicure and pedicure but the owners seemed they were in a hurry to get me out so I just got a manicure. I wanted shellac nail polish but she told me to get dip powder because it would last longer and it was better for my nails. When prepping my nails for the service, she used a file for everything. It was uncomfortable and she was very rough. When she was finishing up the service, I noticed that she smudged one of them and she applied a tip to one of my nails crooked. I wasn't thrilled with my nails but I was happy to have them done. Now being a few weeks later I got the dip powder removed and it destroyed my nails! They're weak, thin, brittle, and extremely sensitive! My nails have never in my life been this bad. I don't really recommend this place but if I had no choice, I'd go back but just stick to shellac. read more

Great place for nails! The owners were so sweet and helpful! Very prompt service, especially for a Sunday. Tried the dip for the first time and LOvE it, didn't damage my nails, and will last longer than shellac treatment. French tip looked great but they have many ombré styles to try this summer! read more

I have gone here for years! The couple that owns it are incredible! I started going back in 2007 when they were next to Marshall's. They have moved to Central Park Plaza and no one is as good at they are. I used to get shallaic mani and pedi but once they changed to gel I have never gone back. I moved to DC to years ago and in that time I have been back while visiting twice. My mani and pedi lasts forever and they remembered me and stayed open late on New Yeara Eve for me years ago and just 2 weeks ago on a Saturday! They work hard my nails last so long with them months for a pedicure with gel! I get tips put on and they have amazing parpharn dips you can do. Not overpriced at all! I adore them and tip them 50% almost every visit. They can do anything and they have my highest recommendation! read more

I hate to write this review because they have been in business for so long and my mother loves them, but I have had multiple mediocre experiences. I got a manicure and pedicure, both shellac. A customer got done just before me. The lady in the salon rinsed the pedicure foot tub but did not use any sort of cleaning agent to sanitize between uses. The gentleman who did my service appeared to be annoyed that I was there, even though it was the middle of the day and they weren't busy. I did not receive paraffin for either services even though it was right next to where I was sitting and it said it was included. I have received paraffin in the past. The edges of my nails are not straight and they missed places with the polish. They did not go close to the cuticle bed so it looks like my manicure has already grown out. The salon overall was slightly dirty. I will only come back here if I absolutely have to. read more

Came here a few times. First time great. Another time I was a little disappointed with the color job (had gel manicure). If I had more time I would have definitely had her redo it. And after a few days the color changed from blush pink to peachy. Little odd. Then had a pedicure which was fine. But last time the guy did the mani and pedi which left me with bubbles on the pedicure and black dots on the manicure (not all nails). And even though their business cards say "paraffin manicure and pedicure", I just got the paraffin during the pedicure. I should probably just go back to scrubbing my own feet when they need some TLC. read more

These people are nice but they just decided without asking me to use this new dipping powder that they have and it is the worst! Less than 2 weeks and all my nails just came off as if they were dollar store nails. The first one came off 3 days after I got it done. If you decide to go to this place do not accept them using this dipping powder, it's straight trash. 35$ for a full set that didn't even last 2 weeks AND I gave a 10$ tip. This place is clean and the women who runs it does good work and is friendly and accommodating. She was even good natured about the very young flower girls who wanted to watch everything she did. I've tried several other of the Okemos nail places and this is far the cleanest, nicest and, I believe, does the best work. read more
