May 8th contacted Jet City for an estimate on repairing a good friends iphone 7 screen which was severely cracked up. Spoke with rep and we reserved an appointment for the 9th at 10am. Asked about further discount as was going to repair myself but seemed the iphone7 was more intricate than prior versions. Mentioned there was a Yelp promo and went there and purchased the 10 dollar off for 5 dollars. Thursday, May 9 appointment showed up and provided friends phone with pin # and provided contact number for when fix completed. Was about 35 minutes later got a call that the phone was ready for pickup - was able to get in an hour but it looked amazing and brought it back to friend who was thankful for your service and he has the receipt and reference for anyone else that may happen to drop their iphone etc. :) read more

Great experience for a not so great situation. After shattering my entire iPhone screen, Jet City was able to fix my phone quickly (within 90 minutes) and for a fair price. I cracked the screen on my iPhone 5S and am not due for an upgrade for another two months. I planned on just trying to get by with the cracked screen since it was a small crack that didn't really affect the phone's use but since it happened in my purse, I didn't drop it, I figured it's only gonna get worse. I googled iPhone cracked screen repair and was very pleasantly surprised to find JCD had such reasonable prices. So I made an appointment and brought my phone in. Despite being ten minutes late, they still had my phone fixed in 20 minutes. Very friendly service and they even promise to fix it again for free if something happens within 30 days. I don't know what I can add to the praise already heaped on Jet City here among Yelpers, but they fixed my iPhone screen for the best price in the city (I called around to a fair number of places) and did so in 20 minutes - after promising me they'd be done within 50. Always sucks to break your screen, and it's never cheap, but Brendan and the folks at Jet City repaired it expertly and quickly with stellar service. Update: My phone's vibrate motor apparently crapped out either as a result of Jet City's repair or its time had come. Steven fixed it at no charge, and got the bubble out of my tempered glass cover that I had JCD install as well. A truly fantastic business that stands by their guarantee and left me with a phone working better than even before I broke its screen. read more

I've never replaced a cracked screen before without going through my carrier insurance, so i don't have an experience to compare to. However, I have to say, it was an incredible first experience! I was able to make a same day appointment online, they were done within the 30 minutes they quoted me, and my phone looks and is operating great. i couldn't have asked for more. Fast, Professional, and phone works great - after a pretty rough drop yesterday.

Their replacement screens are cheaply made and poorly implemented. Color display isn't accurate and they easily crack again. Screen covers they sell you are also not worth the money (I've been through at least 2). Only positive is if you need them to replace the work they did, they can get you in and out pretty fast. read more

In my opinion, the only place to go to get your phone repaired. I broke my screen on my iPhone 6 and took it in here to get it fixed. I brought in my Ipad mini becuase I had cracked the screen. They said it might take 2-3 days to fix when in fact they did it in only 24 hours. The staff was very friendly and the price seemed fair and it was quicker and less expensive than if I had gone through Apple. read more

My Iphone 5c screen was damaged last week. I made an appointment at Jet City for Friday 2/27, and my appointment was canceled 3 hrs before the appointed time b/c "we have to close early". I had a second appointment for today 3/2, and that appointment was canceled 3.5 hrs before the appointed time b/c "we ran out of Iphone 5c screens". It was requested that I make an appointment next week when their shipment of screens would come in, and I could receive a discount on the repair. However, on Sunday 3/1 my phone was so damaged it would not power on. Needless to say, I could not wait another week. I found ChicagoiRepair on yelp on 3/2 at 2:15 p.m., called to confirm they could repair the phone, walked in at 3:50 p.m. and in less than 1 hour had a new screen and phone that worked perfectly. I will send all my Iphone, Ipad, and android phone repairs to ChicagoiRepair. They were kind, accommodating, and very professional. read more

It was a sad day, I broke my iPad glass... As I work in the loop, I did a quick google and found Jet City on Yelp. The reviews were all great so i trekked across the loop to their location on Wells. The person at the desk was helpful, gave my iPad a quick diagnostics check and said it would be ready in a day or two. I was disappointed that I didn't see the dog that I had read about in the reviews before I went to the store. Two days later I received an email that my iPad was ready for pickup. I trekked across the loop again and was pleasantly surprised that the elusive pup that I missed two days prior was stretched out by the door just waiting to be petted. The iPad was perfect. The gentleman behind the counter gave it one last screen cleaning and I checked it out. It was like brand new. The only drawback to having it fixed so quickly (and for just $90) is that it made me decide to not buy a new iPad Air. One last thing. I received an email from the owner of Jet City a couple weeks after the repair just to follow up to make sure it "looks and works great", which it does. The follow up was a nice gesture! read more

I called Jet City and was given an appointment for 4:30. Only 1 hour away from when I dropped my phone. I hopped in a cab and arrived at my appointment time and the nice man (I think might be the owner) took my phone right away. He said it would take 20-30 minutes to replace the screen and BONUS put in a new battery for an additional (but great deal) price! I took my phone (Galaxy S3) there in November for a glass-only replacement. They did a fine job at a very reasonable cost, and I walked away a happy customer. Soon after, though, I found my vibrate motor was no longer working--the phone couldn't do the shaky-shaky in vibrate mode... I called the store and spoke with Aaron, who said to bring it on back and they'd have a look, so I did that, leaving the phone with them for diagnosis. We spoke by phone subsequently, and he told me while there was no way of knowing for sure if the first repair was the cause of the vibrate motor failure, their policy is to err on the side of the customer and assume it's their fault. A cool policy in my book... They weren't certain what the deal was with the motor, so they ended up ordering a part (not sure what, exactly). Unfortunately, even replacing the part didn't fix the problem, and they felt they had kind of hit a dead end. They offered to refund the money I had originally paid back in November, and I said that wasn't necessary, we don't know why this happened, you did do the original glass replacement, etc. But they still refunded my money anyway! At every turn each person I interacted with there was courteous and professional, and it's clear--at least to me--that this is one of those places that definitely puts the customer first. I sincerely hope the shop flourishes in Hyde Park, which is why I'm writing this review. Patronize this business! read more
